Wednesday's eppy

"You think me haunting you is bad, try watching DOOL everyday."
Wednesday's eppy wasn't much better than Tuesday's.
Highlights:
EJ v Brady. Loved it when EJ told Brady that Brady was in love with Nicole.
Baby Sydney is a total cutie pie.
Bad acting.
Poor Arianne. She had to make Mia and Chad look good. For Pete's sake people, would it kill you to emote some? Chad figures out that Sydney is his daughter without showing any emotion. Mia confirms it without any emotion. Come on!
Flashback city.
EJ's flashback of Sydney. Rafe's flashback of Sami. Carly's delusions of Lawrence taunting her. It's too much for one episode.
Thank God for small miracles.
Dr. McCreepy is resisting having babies with Chloe. His excuses were lame. I guess we are supposed to be interested in the mystery of why he doesn't want to make doe-eyed babies with Chloe. The Diva just doesn't care. I'm happy that there will be no Danloe baby any time soon.
Rafe and Carly were totally boring. Nothing new with them.
*yawn* This show needs Stefano and Kate back on asap.
Hahah, Diva, Diva, Diva, tisk tisk, remember in soaps, when you DON'T want a baby is when you get one.
ReplyDeleteWhere's the drama in a Danloe baby? Maybe Daniel's got lazy swimmers. lol
ReplyDeleteForgot to add, what happened to Lawrence he had class, and style, now he looks like he has been living on the streets for the past 16, and got some suit at the Good Will -- but forgot to do something with his hair.
ReplyDeleteBut I am still hoping that even though he was a creep that Carly murdered him for greedy reasons and that it is a bunch of bunk -- like all her crap the first time around -- that he hurt her and she killed him for purely selfish reasons and is a master manipulator.
CC said in a tweet that MS decided to grow his hair out for Lawrence to give him crazy man hair. Oddly enough, I'm starting to like the look! CC went on to say that she wants him to cut the hair soon or she's going to do it herself.
ReplyDeleteHonestly so tired of this baby plot I can barely stand it anymore and I've only been watching for a month! The only good thing about the baby plot is the baby herself - Sydney is adorable.
I'm a Carly fan, so I don't think she killed Lawrence for selfish reasons. He was always bat shit crazy and evil - so I have no probably believing he was up to no good.
Where is Kate? We need her. Oh and wake Stefano from his coma.
Is the flashback overkill typical of the current regime, or is this just a bad phase?
ReplyDeleteLawrence's crazy-man hair strikes me as a fitting reflection of his emotional state. I'm more bugged by his use of the name Carly (he called her Katerina back in the day) and, more importantly, by his confining her to the grounds and whatnot. Original recipe Lawrence treated his Katerina like a queen (while wreaking havoc on everyone else in Salem). I hope the writers have a good explanation for why he turned on her, but I guess I won't hold my breath.
I think the Lawrence henchman pulling a gun on Rafe and Carly qualifies as something new (as opposed to "nothing new"), but the Carly/Rafe detour is a comedown after Monday's awesome Lawrence/Carly scenes.
The wrap-up of the baby switch story can't happen soon enough. I returned to DOOL a couple of months ago and I'm already bored to tears with it.
It's been a long time since I watched Days regularly, but I don't remember as many flashbacks back in the day. Honestly, the flashback that really killed me was last week when Nicole talked to Stefano in the hospital and later in the episode had a flashback about that! I mean really show?!?
ReplyDeleteThe other thing that bothers me is the whole characters talking to themselves thing. Days does this more than any other show.
WTF is with all the flashbacks? Is Reilly haunting the Days set? Writers have a brain fart or something? These last two days have been BORING! Of course having Mia and Chad on half the time explains why it is so fucking boring. Daniel stick to your guns. We don't want no stinking Danloe baby. And how the hell can be Rafe be alive all that time in the water? Dead Lawrence still needs a friggin haircut.
ReplyDeleteI disagree with you about Chad.
ReplyDeleteI like his acting choice, it was subtle and resolved in the same time (i saw this style in prime time so maybe it's not enough over-the-top for soaps..i don't know) and he outsmart and call Nicole on her shit (it's tiiimmmmmeeee !!!) I am looking forwards Ej/Chad scenes.
However i agree with you about Mia, she is weak, doesn't show real emotions.
Chad is growing on me. I think he's the best of the teens (admittedly a low bar) and I hope we see more Chad interactions with the show's stronger actors. I'm tired of seeing Casey Deidrick dragged down in scenes with Taylor Spreitler. She's off-the-charts bad.
ReplyDeleteCasey isn't as bad as TS and to some degree his acting is coming from a more subtle approach but he's not selling me on Chad's emotional state; he's coming off as shallow and selfish as though he's doing this to make Mia feel guilty instead of any true feelings for his child. Where's the emotional depth? I see very little when watching his scenes. True he has a better range than Taylor but only enough to come off as having some feelings as opposed to none. Hopefully he can grow beyond that.
ReplyDeleteoh, and TS might be bad but even she and NB can't top this...

No one could top Charity. She was in a league of her own.
ReplyDeleteI don't about anyone else but Lawrence look a little like Ken Corday. LOL!
