Suzanne Rogers on WLS

A pretty interesting interview with Suzanne Rogers was done by We Love Soaps.

Along with talking about her early days on the soap, Rogers revealed that John Clarke has recently recovered from a mild stroke. Also, that she and Gary Tomlin have known each other for a long time. Since Tomlin seems to be more interested in hooking up with his BFFs rather than running a soap, this explains why Maggie is one of the few vets with decent airtime. My comment isn't meant to knock Rogers...but is meant to diss Tomlin.

  1. That is not surprising. When I started watching it was the summer of 81, and Maggie was the surrogate for Evan Wyland's child, and it was during 81, a dark time for DAYS, Tomlin was a writer. He left and Pat Falken Smith came on and the show changed for the better. But Maggie had a rather big story then, when there was not much going on.

I love Suzanne so I do have nothing to bash her for, and I know you are not bashing her either Diva -- I AGREE with you it is Tomlin who deserves the bashing. Reading Missy's interview it seems she would contemplate a return if asked, but apparently the way she worded it she has not been, nor does she think she will because of the way the show is.

  2. I read the latest CC interview with NB where she stated she and Tomlin are BFF too. That comment was very telling as to how and why the Bo and Hope story is not so much their story anymore and why poor Hope is being destroyed for the coming of Carly. I do love Suzanne though and love seeing her on screen more.

  3. I'm glad to see verification of what I thought was going on. Tomlin is all about the BFFs getting screentime and not about what story/characters that are most interesting. This is not a knock against Suzanne, I adore her, but like others have said here, it is a knock against Tomlin.
