Thursday's Episode

Yes EJ throw Chad out on his ass. Why the hell did you ever let him in? Come on remember you are a DiMera and no little snot nose kid should be ordering you around. You should be protecting Syndey from the hands of Mia and Chad.

Save of the Day: Victor breaking up the Danloe scrump. I was just about to be sick. Victor also gets the highlight of the day with his zingers toward Chloe and her whoreness. Victor is stealing every damn scene he is in.

Miss of the Day: Ryan or was it Brian? Just shoot the damn gun and end the Carly misery or wait maybe it will be better to save that for Vivian.

Bo and Hope: What can I say I am with Bo on this one. Hope is being a total bitch. But I guess we can't really blame her, the writers need some reason for her to leave the house so Carly can move right on in.

St.Rafe and St.Carly: Now why isn't anyone talking about them as a couple? Even half dead Rafe still has to play the fucking hero.

Oh I almost forgot Mia and Will: zzzzzzzzzz That must have been when I fell asleep.

Please get Vivian to Salem as quickly as possible and bring Stefano out of that damn coma and back to Kate.

But hey we were spared the flashbacks and Stephanie

  1. Is there commentary on Monday's episode (Oct. 12)? I can't find it in the archive.

  2. Oh Diva i disagree totally with you about Ej !
What i like with Ej it's he is a GREY character and not the new Stefano replica (when he is true to character of course).
He understands Chad, he has been in the same situation not very long ago remember..
He stays firm but stands back from the crazy situation, i mean he is finally smart again !! We should be gladden no ?

I like Chad, simply as it : the guy is kind of witty, sassy, assertive (for Dool and Higley writing standards i mean..lol) and because of that we saw the huge difference between him and the other teens (passive, dull..)

Nicole is really a..pathetic, delusional character..it's almost laughable..

I don't really understand the Brady character but the actor is good and likable.

Rafe who save Carly's life : RIDICULOUS.
The TPTB try really really hard to prop this character..the little problem in this propaganda it's the guy has no charisma..and i mean NADA !!
And please why the female characters have to be "saved"? Girl power even on soaps please !
Carly (Sami too by the way) can be their own hero thank you !

  3. I actually could get behind Rafe/Carly they had some chemistry especially when she tore his shirt off lol. Say what you will about Rafe being boring but he is easy on the eyes. Out of all the kids on the show Chad is my fav he's a decent enough teen actor (former GL watcher here lol) and he's kinda interesting.

  4. Although I did enjoy when Carly kicked the guy in the balls.

  5. Carly drop-kicking that guy was a definite highlight.

Rafe is less boring when he's in a fever state and not talking. I dread his return to lucidity.

I love Victor but the constant "whore" and "bitch" insults are getting tiresome. He had a much more expansive vocabulary back in the day.

Sydney banging her head with the toy was another highlight. That's exactly how I feel when I watch DOOL.

  6. Yeah The Diva gets that EJ has been in the same position as Chad and don't get me wrong I am loving that the old bad ass EJ is back and that he has got his smarts and balls back, but I still believe a true DiMera, grey or not, would have been more protective of their family.

Still not feeling the Chad love.

Thanks for bringing up Brady. The Diva forget about him and Sami. Why is it everyone but Brady knows he is in love with Nicole? The brother sister love will soon come crashing down when Sami finds out Sydney is hers. I'm sure she will think Brady was behind that too.

  7. I was more impressed with Chad today but even less impressed with the writers than normal. The chances that a kid like Chad would jump to the conclusion that EJ and Nicole didn't adopt Sydney together is reaching, even if his parents are lawyers. I don't mind the kids on the show being smart but there is a vast difference between being smart and having life experience to know idiosyncrasies of how people behave.

And I'm torn about EJ. He is a DiMera but also a lawyer and so I can see him being careful but a lifetime of believing he is entitled to what he wants doesn't disappear just because he attended law school. The sudden restraint makes more sense if he feels for Chad because of what Sami did with Grace. I wish I thought that was the writer's logic but I doubt it. From the EJ who went after whatever he wanted with a vengeance to this version who is so bloody considerate of everyone else's rights with so little in between other than mindless stupidity continues to get in the way of the story for me.

  8. What I don't understand is why Chad, who doesn't strike me as the saintly type, is so eager to assume the burdens of teenage fatherhood. The typical teenage guy would head for the hills.

Whatever. I'm intrigued by the Chad character, and I like the actor's unaffected acting style.

  9. Love Chad. Love that he wants his daughter instead of running for the hills.

I'm also impressed that EJ isn't Phil and isn't hounding anyone for a child that isn't his. He's DiMera enough to realize that he will take on a losing battle if/when it's proven (as far as he knows) that Chad his the babydaddy and his rights were denied.

Wish Rafe and his sister were dead.

  10. I have found the EJ-Chad part of the story interesting. EJ, while he loves Sydney, also knows what he has gone through, and I guess his kinder, gentler side does not want to put another father through that misery. For Chad's part, I saw a spoiler that he is adopted. It makes sense from a motivation standpoint that he would have this inner drive to find, see and hold his child. He may in the end decide he's not ready to be an active participant in his child's life, but just as EJ has empathy for Chad's situation, Chad has empathy for Sydney's situation because HIS parents had to let him go. Also, given that he is likely adopted, this baby, in his mind, will be the first blood relative that he's ever laid eyes on, or so he thinks. That can be a powerful motivation no matter your age. Also, he may have feelings about his own adoption story, perhaps he has no information (lol especially if he's bo and carly's kid), perhaps he doesn't want to give up on his child because he felt that his parents gave up on him.

IDK, just speculating, but I think they've done a good job of creating some basis for character motivation that they haven't so far done in the Bo and Hope story. Nothing I hate worse than having those WTF moments when, if the writing had been better, there wouldn't be a need for WTF.

  11. As an addendum to my previous comment re: adoption.. I'm a proponent of adoption and don't want the reader to think I'm judging his birthparents or anything. I've seen many aspects of this subject in my own life which I'm sure have shaped my thoughts on this story.
