Congrats to Michael Emerson

He won for Outstanding Supporting Actor at the Emmy's last night. He totally deserves it, but I still hate Benjamin Linus from Lost. lol Michael also won for a guest spot on The Practice. He played a psycho on that show too.

Also congrats to Kristin Chenoweth for winning Outstanding Supporting Actress for her role as Olive on Pushing Daisies. I miss that show.

  1. I will forever blame the writers strike for the death of Pushing Daisies. That show was totally unique to anything on television today.

Yay for Michael Emerson for winning an emmy for playing the creepamundo Ben Linus.

  2. Yes, I think the strike hurt that show. It was so unique, sweet, quirky. I loved how it also had a touch wickedness, and they had some great double entrendre. I loved Olive Snook, more than Chuck. I wanted to know more about Ms. Snook, and I wanted to see more of Emerson and his daughter, and his relationship with [err coming up with a blank]. I wanted to see more on Ned's father, why he really left Ned, and then later the twins, he saved Ned and Olive from Chuck's father, and speaking of which, what was their connection, what is the big secret. I also miss the Charles sisters. I much preferred that traveling pill salesman for Olive over Randy -- but I read the actor got/had a role on Broadway, and that was why his character was not brought back.

Glad Micheal Emerson won, he sure is great as Ben, creepy, yet he has that ability to charm people, and is so great at manipulating everyone, especially Locke. But has the poor guy ever played someone who was not major screwed up? I saw him on L&O, and he played a freak who was part of a group who adopted young boys from African to use as sex toys.

  3. I am very happy for Michael Emerson : Ben Linus is the most interesting and enigmatic character on Lost. The actor is really the character : every scenes with him are riveting and i really like but not love Lost.
Pushing Daisies was a great show with a great cast and yes Kristin Chenowetch is brilliant and she deserves this emmy.
But for the cancelled shows Veronica Mars will be always the more missed for me. And i want to see Jason Dohring to become a movie star.
    Voilà, i said it. Lol.

  4. He played a freak on the X Files too. His character was on the last season. He was the one who would hallucinate the Brady Bunch house. Awful episode.

The X Files really went down hill the last season. The second X Files movie was really awful.

  6. Thanks for the heads up on XF, with ME, I do not remember that eppy, but I think the last year I missed several.

Speaking of ME/Benry, I still shake my head at the fact that the actress who played his mother on that backstory episode is actually his wife, talk about Freudian to the max! And you know it was done for that very reason!

And I agree, I could not get that movie, sometimes they throw fans a bone, like Lynch did for TWIN PEAKS fans, it is so-so, but fits in to the mythos of the show, and ties things up, but I got none of that with the last XF movie, and it was really boring.
