3/4/10 review - A lot of scary horny women
Nathan/Melanie/Philip/Stephanie - More Ring Around the Rosie with Dena Higley's favorite quad. As for Stephanie, she seems to be in training to become the next Nicole; but if she's gonna be bad, she needs to commit to it. However, commitment doesn't seem to be a strong suit with any of these characters.
Carly/Bo - So apparently any remorse Bo feels about his breakup with Hope is happening offscreen. Nice to know that he's feeling something, even if we can't see it. I admit I liked seeing the Carly/Bo flashback. At the time it originally aired, I wasn't so impressed but now it's the most romantic scene shown on DAYS all week. But who was the "very good friend" of Bo's that Lawrence killed? Did he mean that dead guy with the eyepatch hanging around with his sister last year? I know Bo had a head injury and all, but he seemed to forget that Steve wasn't killed, just presumed dead.
Vivian/Daniel - Is it just me or does Vivian get threatened a lot more than Carly these days? Didn't Philip just try to bash her brains in last week?
Victor - As usual, he stole the show with more zingers today.
"You know, Vivian, that dithering thing that you do stopped working on me back during the Reagan administration."
"I would become Father of the Year for helping Bo and you would be moved into the Big House with a lot of scary horny women."
"Lawrence is as dead as vaudeville."
Thanks for the heads up! There was a time I actually cared. But the more I read the more I am satisfied not watching, and the more I care about not ever watching again. It is so much easier than in the past being delusional and actually thinking someday someone would take over and fix the show.

ReplyDeleteI love Victor one-liners but why always give them to him. Lot's of other characters need to be more fun and some good one-liners would really help.
ReplyDeleteWhen Hogan Sheffer was here lot's of things were screwed up but at least he gave good dialogue to ALL or at least ALMOST ALL the cast. It's not fair for me and i am happy that at least JA and LS can have that but the others actors deserve it too.
Sigh. I lived for Sheffer's dialogue.
ReplyDeleteI agree with you about the Victor show stealing. I am thinking about calling them the VQODs. Victor Quote of the Day. We talked about that in our Video Recap yesterday, bit.ly/c1rNSe Although, Daniel did nail it with calling Bo Carly's wingman. Daniel is quickly rising in stardom on Days.

ReplyDeleteseeing as these writers can't keep track of what they write themselves I'm not all that surprised they don't bother to keep track of what previous headwriters came up with. Since the late 80s and then JER, I've seen less and less respect for the show's history. Worse, it provides me the only entertainment I get out of watching other than Vic, Viv and State.
ReplyDeleteVictor kicks ass! The best part of the show here lately is Victor's one liners! I especially enjoy it when he is putting down Chloe and calling her a whore. It gets the Phloe Phreaks all riled up and it's entertaining watching them squirm.
