Loser of the Week: Sydney Dimera. After months of peace and calm with Auntie Anna and Daddy E.J., she has now been delivered into the arms of real life Mommy Sami. Say goodbye to the days of quiet solitude in the lap of luxury. Say hello to the chaotic days of switched tests, swapped babies, swapped men…and a mom who breaks down in hyperventilating dramatic sobs when she loses her car keys. Anyone know of a good pediatric psychiatrist they can recommend, pronto?

Scene of the Week: Chloe finding out about Daniel being the daddy. It was rather contrived how Carly spilled the beans to Chloe, thinking that she was talking about Daniel’s paternity rather than that he was just being reprimanded at the hospital; but I won’t look a gift horse in the mouth. At least it didn’t take months for this secret to get out. So I say thanks for that!

Performer of the Week: Shawn Christian. I realize that Mr. Christian can be a pretty decent actor when he’s not playing a patient-fondling perv. I’ve enjoyed how Daniel has been reeling with shock about the news. His friendship with Melanie is a refreshing place to start with a newly discovered father/daughter connection. I’m enjoying the new Bo/Daniel conflict that is springing out from all of this. So far, Shawn is making the most out of his new storyline.
