Looks like Wally Kurth brought up the ratings some. Too bad he isn't sticking around the sinking ship.

Comments

  1. Wally's no fool. He was also smart enough to stay away from DAYS during the Reilly years.

  2. Well, were he to have been on during those times he would have been fired just like Matt.

  3. I have no doubt Reilly would have kicked Kurth to the curb. He hated talented actors.

  4. The OLTL ratings makes me wonder if part of the reason AMC was moved to LA, like GH, is that since ABC owns all the soaps, and since AMC and GH have the history that they plan on canceling OLTL. They want the soaps in the same city and since GH is the strongest they did not want to relocate its actors.

But I would not be surprised by the end of 2010 that only GH, AMC on ABC, and Y&R and B&B on CBS are the only remaining soaps on network TV.

  5. Ouch, those ratings suck, Days really is a sinking ship.
Days totally sucks now, the ratings are just reflecting all the bad decisions that have been made recently, if Days continues down this path I predict that the ratings will drop even further & Days will be nomore. They need to get rid of Tomlin & Higley, bring back Ed Scott, find a decent writer & give us back our vet cast that we love.

  6. First fire Zucker, because he is the moron who seems to hate soaps. And his mismanagement is hurting NBC as a whole, its primetime for several seasons has been in 4th place -- only the CW is lower. NBC is losing money with its bad primetime, and that means less money to fork over. And again Zucker seems to be anti-soap, and youth obsessed. They just fired Silverman (I think that is is name) he was really youth obsessed. Then there needs to be someone in charge of NBC committed to saving and resurrecting primetime and who also sees how important soaps are. Then have that person fire T**IC and bring in talented writers and producers who gear the show towards people over 35, who care about quality, who write romance, family, character driven plots, and who bring back the vets the fans what, while getting rid of all the dead weight actors who were brought on by Tomlin (JERk JR.) and Dena Hackley.

  7. If Days is cancelled in 2010 AMC will be cancelled before : the ratings are lower for the ABC soap.

  8. They are equal for DAYS and AMC and OLTL. And ABC owns the soaps so they make more money than NBC does with DAYS which is primarily owned by Corday and then Sony, Inc.

  9. I maintain AMC (and OLTL for the record) has lower ratings than Days (i just read above !). But you got a point with ABC owns these soaps and not NBC for Days.
