Deidre to AMC?
Take it with a grain of salt since it is The Douchebag, Nelson Branco spreading this rumor. I wouldn't be surprised if ABC is just throwing Deidre's name out there to scare Susan Lucci into staying with All My Children when AMC moves to the Left Coast. Obviously the Genie Francis rumor isn't true since she lives in Maine or something.
If Deidre goes to AMC would you watch if you never watched AMC before? If you do watch AMC now would you watch without Thorsten Kaye or Susan Lucci?

No, sorry but Dee was one of the people I felt brought DAYS down. Do not watch AMC, but from what I gather Lucci is far better than Dee.

AMC is shot in HD right? No way with Botox Barbie show her wrinkled face there. Unless of course difuse glow could be implemented on one actor alone?

ReplyDeleteI disagree about Lauren Koslow. I think she's talented and can act circles around Deidre Hall. Unfortunately the writing isn't the greatest for her lately, and yeah, the character has become kind of one-note. But LK still manages to turn crap into something watchable and only the good ones can do that.
ReplyDeleteI don't see anyone beating down Dee's door to get her to sign on the dotted line. The last time she was consistently good was when she did the Salem Serial Killer. She's an over-the-top, waaaay over-rated cheesy soap actress who sometimes is so bad that it's embarrassing - even cringeworthy. She's not even close to being in the same league as La Lucci, even if she remains popular with some DOOL fans.
Dee's popularity is over exaggerated by her fans. Many folks were not remotely fans of hers. I thought bringing her back was one of the worst things DAYS did. Though, I felt Drake fit her perfectly another over-the-top "actor." I so wished that in 1991 they had done all they could to bring back Stephen (Steve). We saw the body being taken, we heard Lawrence talk about something before or after it happened. Instead of Jack and Jennifer having the Hawk storyline which terrible. They should have had Jack thinking Steve was alive, and using that to cause tensions for their marriage, without the hayseed Hawk. It also would have stopped Shane and Kayla sex which was just W-R-O-N-G!!!
