Ken Corday Fuck You Pt. 2
Ever the classy gentleman that he is, Ken Corday said this in SOD regarding the firing of Felisha Terrell in order to replace her with Lindsay Hartley: "There's a chance to cast upwards here."
Jesus Christ, someone get this man a press agent or something! Shut him up before he drives the show even further down into the crapper than it is already. Okay, even I've bashed Felisha for her nondescript acting, but I'm not the freakin' executive producer of DAYS OF OUR LIVES. You can bet Felisha will have some choice words to say about him at her next "fan luncheon".
Maybe, Mr. Ken Asshole Corday, if you hadn't fired the "upwards" cast members that you already had, you wouldn't have to be replacing actresses and sounding like the fool you are in the soap magazines. Maybe if you grew a pair and stopped letting Gary Tomlin turn DAYS into PASSIONS LITE, you wouldn't be in these awkward situations. Show some respect to your parents' legacy and get your show back before it's too late, you loser.

Why do I have the visual of Ken Asshole Corday sitting on Gary Tomlin's lap, all while Tomlin's hand is shoved firmly up Corday's ass? I guess you could say that Corday is 'Kermit', while Tomlin plays the part of Jim Henson. Scarey, to say the least. But, I cannot help but believe that Corday's spiral into complete and total idiocy has something to do with the bullshit that Tomlin harps into his ear as he greases him up for the next round. Someone needs to stick an apple in Tomlin's mouth and send him packing out the door. Get Higley to drive the getaway car. In the meantime, send Corday off for a few intense classes at the School of How to Keep Your Mouth Shut. I know I'd sleep easier.

ReplyDeleteWell, he did that too with JERk he let JERk in 1993 and 2003 fire actors, and then he made big productions out of it, how the mass murder on DAYS, and thus mass firings, was a great thing. Remember they even had a "red carpet" moment, to pimp the brutal murder of Maggie, spending more money than they were paying Suzanne. Then he dared to say it was a joke and that he never told anyone. Never believed that to be true. Either way it is the work of an asshole, either fire people than lie that they really were not fired because he wanted to save his butt, or actually it be the truth and they were not fired but he let them all believe that they had lost their jobs.
ReplyDeleteJust kill this show already. Maybe then they can get classic DAYS on Soap Net or some other cable/satellite network. And by classic I DO NOT MEAN POST-93 JERk crapfest, I mean 70s through 91 DAYS.
I would never, ever wish for DAYS to get cancelled, what would be the point?

OMG does this man never stop? He seriously needs to keep his mouth shut. I wonder does he have an agent or advisor because they sure aren't doing their job. Another great blog Diva and I feel that Corday really brings the worst out of you LOL. ITA with your comment that if he hadn't gotten rid of the *upward* talent he had he wouldn't have to worry about finding them now. Fuck you Corday is right.
ReplyDeleteI think this is all Tomlin's doing, as was the firings. Now Corday has to spin the decisions, and in doing so he comes off like an ass. Had he stood by the actors, and I mean not just now but in the past, had he stood by the principles which made DAYS DAYS, romance and families, character driven stories, listening to actors and fans, then things would have been different. But he sold out back in 1993. Back before this there were still writers and producers who fought for DAYS, but he let Langan and JERk turn it into a show about hot bodies over talent, swooping sex partners over romance -- remember they were the ones who convinced him to kill the supercouple. Had Corday remained firmed and followed the philosophy(ies) which his parents set forth then DAYS would not be in the state it is now.

Free Will is an amazing thing.
If Ken Corday is attempting to try and move upwards in the acting department, then he should have gotten rid of Nadia a long time ago. I can't tell the difference when Chloe is awake and talking to people or in a coma. She is terrible!
ReplyDeleteOkay so Nadia still cannot act. It just surprises me all those people who love her. They have banners of her she has that same vapid look. And the trust out chest thing is not TPTB telling her to do it on camera, because every photo I see of her she does it on her own. And for someone who alleged to be someone trained in opera -- when I was watching -- the one had no emotion in her voice, and operatic singing is all about the voice portraying the emotion of the aria and what is happening in the scene. Yet Nadia was always flat of voice with no emotion. As for her looks, yes she has a hot body, but then there are others who are just as pretty and more so because to me (as a straight woman) she comes off so artificial, fake, that it takes away from her looks.
