Frances Reid 1913 - 2010

Frances Reid (Alice Horton) passed away this morning on Feb. 3, 2010.  As of this posting, this has now been confirmed by several websites.  I am literally fighting back tears while typing this.  As I'm sure is the case for many longtime DAYS fans, I feel like I'm losing a member of my own family.  Hopefully, DAYS will give Frances a fitting memorial tribute episode.

While I loved Alice Horton's humor, spunkiness and charm, I particularly loved her relationships with her grandchildren, especially Hope and Jennifer.  Here is a classic clip from DAYS where Hope, Jennifer and Melissa pay tribute to "My Gram".
