"Here Comes the Gestapo."

 

After shooting her didn't kill her, Carly tries smashing her head in with her bare hands!

Monday's eppy was ok again.  Just like I thought, the Philip/Vivian stuff was the best.

Brady/Ariana/Rafe  Not much going on there.  They are at the Pub, EJ calls and asks to see Brady at the Pier.  Brady leaves.  Rafe enters yelling at his cell phone.  Rafe's clearly frustrated at his lack of progress of finding Sydney.

EJ/Anna/Sydney.  Anna calls EJ while he's at the Pier.  She's mad at his cruelty towards Sami (and others) by faking Sydney's death.  Cute little Sydney sits in her Aunt Anna's lap.  This Diva is suffering from serious Sydney withdrawal.  We need more Sydney!  EJ tells Brady that Syd is dead, and wants him to tell Nicole.  Arianna shows up to stick up for her brother when EJ says that Rafe is responsible for Sydney's death.

Victor/Dan/Bo/Abe.  Victor briefly talks to Dan on the phone about Melanie's condition at the Salem PD.  He hangs up to talk to GestaBo.  Bo threatens Victor with charges.  Victor doesn't buy it.  Bo has nothing.  Victor stopped a murder for Pete's sake, since when is that a crime?  Bo's in full hypocrite mode once again.  We all know he'll go crawling back to Victor for favors like he always does.  My bet, he'll beg Victor for money since Carly is about to bankrupt him by getting caught visiting Melanie breaking the restrictions of her bond.  Victor leaves triumphantly.  Abe comes in for no apparent reason.  Bo admits he was bluffing with Victor.  Considering Bo has been trying off and on for 24 years to get Victor behind bars, you'd think he would be smart enough to realize bluffing doesn't work with Victor.  Victor comes home to the KiMansion and announces that Melanie is awake according to his phone call with Dr. Dan.  DumBo realizes that Carly probably went to the hospital.

Philip/Vivian. Phil threatens Viv with a fireplace poker.  Viv plays innocent.  Great stuff.  Phil decides to spare her life.  Philip declares Melanie the love of his life.  I guess he was just pretending with Chloe, Belle, Morgan, and Stephanie.  Victor threatens Vivian with prison if she messes with Melanie again.

Carly/Melanie.  Mel wakes up.  When she remembers being shot, Mel starts freaking out.  Mel's mad that Dan let Carly into her room.  No shit on that one.  There's plenty of time for Carly to explain their blood ties after the poor girl recovers.  Lucky for Melanie, she doesn't die from shock.  Carly leaves her room.  Again, no one recognizes the attempted murderer in the middle of a hospital.  Dan talks Melanie into letting Carly come back to the room.  Carly confesses that she's Mel's mum.

It was an ok eppy.  Excellent acting by Jay Kenneth Johnson as the furious groom.  Louise Sorel was amazing once again.  She genuinely seemed afraid of Philip while refusing to confess to trying to kill Melanie.  John Aniston does the intimidation thing so well.  He's the cranky old man you know that you would never dare to mess with. This Diva also really enjoyed Molly Burnett today.  She totally stole the scene from Crystal Chappell.  She played a wide range of emotions from confusion, scared, to curiosity without being over the top.  Molly has improved so much over last year.
