Ashley Jones on Flashforward

Ashley Jones was spotted on last Friday's episode of Flashforward. Lucky Ashley was in bed with Dominic Monaghan's character, Simon. Ashley's day job is portraying Bridget Forrester Marone on the Bold and the Beautiful. I hope Ashley leaves B&B and pursues a prime time career. Ashley's being wasted as doormat Bridget on B&B. Her character has been cheated upon twice by Jack Wagner's Nick. Nick slept with Bridget's mom and aunt. lol Poor thing!
The Diva is watching Flashforward. I haven't blogged about the show yet because I have no theories about the show. The show is very Lost-esque with their themes of fate and destiny. Simon gave us some clues on Thursday. Apparently, the blackout was an experiment. Also he was talking about quantum physics with Jones' character. His theory leads the viewer to believe that people can change their destiny. I enjoy the cast. But I don't find Lloyd, Olivia's future lover, to be attractive. He's charming, but he's not making my knees quiver.
Anyway, the Diva does enjoy Flashforward. Hopefully more soap stars will do cameo appearances.
Not buying this show. It lacks the LOST factor I loved. From the first episode I was drawn into caring about the characters. The principals annoy me. And I agree with the TVWithoutPity folks these are the most incompetent FBI agents ever.
ReplyDeleteI cannot buy into 20 million world dead, all that damage and there is no world chaos. I could are less about Mark and Olivia's marriage, since Mark is not really likable. But I am not into Lloyd the possible Olive FF lover.
Not caring about Janis and Maya, though I think Maya is a plant and there to get close to Janis.
A local reviewer made a comment before the show began that it is a great premise but will just end up being another cop procedural. And I agree. The character development is terrible. LOST is great because in the end it is about logic and reason, and science versus faith. The lost sinner of the characters talks to me more than these folks.
I think Maya is a plant too. Janis trusted her on literally their first date. That struck me is odd. I don't understand why Janis blabbed about being in the FBI so early in a relationship.
ReplyDeleteOther than that, I do like the show.
I am actually just starting FF - I have it all DVRed and I am enjoying it - however - Dishy agrees agrees with the Diva! Olivia's future lover does not have the zing!
ReplyDeleteI did not watch the show but would see commercials and maybe a scene or two, but I remember seeing Lloyd as the silly character on the BBC original COUPLING. Not even having watched the show, I still see him as that character. He just does not do the hot, genius thing to make him believable. But I prefer him to Shakespeare.
ReplyDeleteI only really care about Dimitri and Gough -- the black agent. I just think once FF Day occurs what is left? The only exciting part there is free will or predestination, or if the FFs are even fact and not manipulations.
I did get into "V" after the first episode, I hope it keeps to the premiere.
I don't know how the show progresses past April 29th. Maybe they'll go in a different direction like they do almost every year on Lost.
ReplyDeleteI didn't see V yet. Hopefully I can get to it tonight.
It's not a bad show but i am not into Flash Forward..i don't know it lacks something..i love Lost and i hate Heroes (now it's not surprising, it's pretty awful for any viewer but even the first season who was somewhat critically acclaimed was not my cup of tea).
ReplyDeleteThe cast on FF is quite strong : Joseph Fiennes (i prefer his brother but still lol), Courtney B. Vance, Dominic Monaghan, John Cho and i like Jack Davenport (like him on Coupling and on Pirates of the Caribbean but maybe this role is not for him..i don't know..).
Anyway i can watch this show sometimes but that's all, i am not looking forwards for the next episode the next week.
I loved HEROES Season I, did not like it the 2nd year, but many shows got screwed due to will they or won't they strike and they they did, but last year was bad. The moment Angela agreed to have Sylar, the serial killer and psychopath, become her son Nathan, and thought that he would not revert back to the his killing was it.
ReplyDeleteAs I wrote did not watch COUPLING but saw adverts for him and he just seems like the character, and I guess had I watched he really would. Wasn't his PIRATES stuff also more of the funny character? I think the genius romantic lead is not for him. Not into Finennes, AKA Shakespeare. Do not mind Cho, and like the character Gough. Not sure how I feel about Janis? I hope they are not going to spin her relationship with Maya and truw wuv.
I think V and FF should both have been like SPENCER'S ISLAND -- that was the name, right? I watched and it is pretty sad I may be screwing up the name. I really did not like that until the end when I got to like some of the characters, but then only two people made it to the end, and that sucked. But I think FF would have been better served as a year long show, and V too -- I do not know if I can go beyond a year or two of humans fighting the evil invaders.
I really wish they sure the world in chaos, because if the world suffered 20 million dead, and that would mean twice or three times more casualties of various degrees, untold financial loss. A major earthquake would probably mean a few billion in damages, but total world disaster would be trillions per nation. And yet people are going out eating, drinking, celebrating Halloween, it has been how many years and New Orleans has not recovered. 20 million is about the total loss for WWII, and that span years and even decades, this was only 2 min. 17 seconds.
I also wish they would bring in world religions and mythologies to make sense of it, all the apocalyptic literature, all the world mythologies of weird events and no one trying to make some connections?
And please, yes the priest is hot, and I think he has chem with Juliet, ERRR Erica, but please can we have a Catholic priest who does not betray his vows.
