11/16 review - Smackdown!
The episode of the SAMI SMACKDOWN
Oh, let’s just cut to the chase, shall we?
Sami/Nicole – Today Sami opened that long-awaited can of whoop-ass on Nicole. Sami the Bitch is back and I’m lovin’ it! Even so, I couldn’t help feeling kind of sorry for Nicole. She managed to beat the odds so many times with her secret that it was kind of pathetic to see her crying like a kid picked on one time too many at the playground. Kudos to Ari Zuker for making the role of villainess a sympathetic one. Even though what Nicole did was unquestionably unconscionable, I really felt her pain at losing the baby that was never hers to begin with. And her reasoning that Sami popped out babies like clockwork while she couldn’t even have one on her own was a great speech. Perhaps if we’d seen more of that side to her all along, I would have been more into this story. Of course, I also remember Nicole taunting my dying Tony…so kick her ass, Sami!!!
Bo/Carly/Mia – I laughed at Carly’s quip to Bo: “Salem has become quite the police state since I left.” Other than that, not too much of interest for me.
EJ/Kate – More EJate, more EJate!!! I don’t know why I’m liking them so much more now than I did with the first go-around.
Rafe/Chloe/Dan – Chloe’s realization that she was the one who first revealed to Nicole that Sami was pregnant is probably the best scene I’ve seen Nadia do. Seriously.
Brady/Arianna – Victor mentioned how Brady was like his mother, Isabella, which makes me think how Eric Martsolf resembles Staci Greason much more than Kyle Lowder ever did. No other thoughts on this storyline today.
Vivian – I haven’t seen a woman so overdressed for an outdoors scene since Anna wore the pink evening gown to rescue Tony from Stefano’s island! Her scene with Mia made me think of Red Riding Hood with the Big Bad Wolf. I loved Vivian’s ensemble, but I think she watched SUNSET BOULEVARD one too many times!
Go Sami go !! Hit hard again and again !! I can help you if you want !! lol
ReplyDeleteSeriously it's good to finally rediscover the famous Sami's bitchy side.
Ari Zucker nailed most of the time (too much pathetic, clingy in her relationship with Ej) her part in this storyline and the writers wrote well for this character,we have above all seen her point of view in this story whereas the other key players (sami, ej..) were the shadow of themselves..it's sad but good for Nicole's character development..
So i don't feel one iota of pity in Nicole's fate but the character interests me..so good job for the writers and the actress. On the other hand i am very angry about Ej's dumb down and Sami Marlenification (and pairing with a dull character like Rafe..sorry i have to say it).

Loved the Sami smackdown and seeing the real Sami appear again. Ok I am one who is feeling a little sorry for Nicole, thanks to the great Ari Zucker. In fact I even agree with some of her arguements. Sami having too many kids already, come on I think we can all agree she needs to quit now. Also she didn't want EJ to know about the baby and hey Nicole gave him his baby. Yeah Nicole was wrong, but damn I still felt for her when she lost that baby. Great scenes all around for Ali and Ari. Also agree about the revenge for Tony. Slap her again Sami!

Diva I agree with you about Chloe. Nadia finally got it right. But will it continue?
Still loving Brady and will he find out that grandpa was the drug lord or will he just be lead right to EJ now?
Vivian is playing the scary villian now and I am waiting for some humor to be thrown in. Love the wild outfits. She will be giving Kate some competition in that department.
Mia and Carly are a red herring. Carly's baby will either be Molly or Chad. I am wishing Chad to be a DiMera though. Did Carly ever know EJ or Dr Dan? Anyway this storyline has caught my interest.
I hate to say this but Nicole really had a point. Of course it is wrong to fake a pregnancy and a birth, steal another woman's baby and lie to the husband for over 1 year. Wrong. Wrong. Wrong. BUT - she was right with the "we all could have been happy" part. Sami was happy with Grace, EJ loved his Sydney, Mia knew it was the best thing to give her baby into a loving family. Even Stefano was satisfied with the situation. Now, if only Dr Baker would have shut his mouth and Grace would have lived happily ever after. Since this is a soap - all hell broke loose.

AZ and AS are doing a great job. NB looks like an amateur compared to them. She has no expression in her face or eyes... she always looks the same: boring!
Totally, more EJATE. THEY ARE HOTT. They need to get it on, like right now.
