11/20 Review - A Dimera Thanksgiving

EJ and Stefano get a head start participating in Thanksgiving family traditions!
EJ/Stefano - Another great blow-up this week as more of the truth comes out.
Stephanie/Nathan/Melanie/Phillip - OK, I have to admit I found Stephanie's fantasy almost had a little chemistry going on. And then she woke up. Still, Stephanie's showing a little bit of a sneaky side...and for that, I'm profoundly grateful. We need a little less Kayla and a little more Steve in that girl. I'm wondering if Melanie's past creeping on her may have to do with these theories that perhaps she is the long lost Carly baby.
Arianna/Rafe/Gabriella - Another pretty snotty teenager in Salem is such a rare and innovative idea! Kudos to all the originality with this!
Brady/Nicole - Who gave Brady the lobotomy this week for bailing out crazy Nicole and setting her on the loose? And with that, Nicole has cut ties with her last friend in Salem.
How old is Melanie, about 21? So how the hell was she conceived when Gnarly was married to Lawrence? And 21 years ago was Gnarly even a doctor?
ReplyDeleteI think Carly would of been a dr. 21 years ago, when she was introduced to the show and helped Justin she mentioned she graduated early but I still dont see how she could be Melanie's mother the timing doesnt fit Carly didnt go off with Lawrence until she was at least in her late 20's early 30's and that would make Melanie to old.
ReplyDeletePowerful scene between Ej and Stefano.
ReplyDeleteSome on other boards think JS was OTT in his acting, me i don't think so...i mean the guy has been betrayed by everybody even by his father who he was devoted since always..his life is a big mess so the furious anger totally fit the situation. Kudos to JS and JM.
I've seen the same comments about the OTT acting on JS's part which I ignore. We're talking about people so utterly clueless when it comes to how a story effects the characters they aren't able to see that the reason they sympathize with Nicole is because the writers made the story ALL about her and paid attention to HER character development while ignoring everyone elses, ESPECIALLY EJ's. I don't care how good an actor is, he can't make up for what the writers leave out but then this is coming from people who think Reilly was the most brilliant writer ever so the idea of character development being important is lost on them anyway.
ReplyDeleteIt was Carly's 25th birthday when she was supposed to marry Lawrence.
ReplyDeleteJames Scott and Joe Mascolo were wonderful in those scenes. How else was EJ supposed to act? His whole life is in a tailspin. James is portraying it beautifully.
ReplyDeleteI think for some people, James Scott can do no right. Well, at least the show knows what a treasure they have in him as an actor. I'm so glad he's on Days.
the Rafe school of acting seems to be the in thing...showing emotion is considered OTT.
ReplyDeleteJS was amazing and Mascolo too.
ReplyDeleteI know lot's of people praise AZ's performances in this storyline but she is maybe the only one the writers have given the best material + i saw monday epi and Nicole's "woo is me" attitude, everybody is mean with me, i deserve a daughter becomes tiring.
JS is the actor in this cast who has the potential to be a prime time star, of course IMHO. lol.
The scene between Melanie, Philip and the douch Mark was pretty funny. Mark is a creep but a funny creep.
Gabi the new Hernandez sibling was ok (at least better than Mia..not very difficult i know..), Arianna kind of ..here and Rafe is a really monotone guy..i really don't like his voice and he always mumbling a la Roman/John Wayne..it's really annoying (Sami deserves better lol he will really bored her if the relationship last long..so i hope not).
James is amazing and he really did some of his best work to date with this s/l. I agree that the writers have only focused on AZ's character and even more with her downfall so I'm thinking more is in store for Nicole.
ReplyDeleteSomeone give the girl who plays Gabi a contract! She is ten times better then the kid who plays Will and well it goes with out saying that TS is only good in scenes with AZ. To me that's not good enough and Mia can go now.
I think James Scott did an excellant job and no way was he OTT. He was expressing so many emotions. Confusion, anger, sadness, hurt, that he just exploded. The one person he thought that would always be there for him lied and betrayed him too. Joe and James rocked those scenes. You just get so much more from them.
ReplyDeleteWhy is Stephanie around? Just do the triangle with Melanie/Philip/Nathan. But please I just wish the writers would make up their minds on who they want to be together.
Yawn another teen has arrived in Salem. Although she is already better than Mia. Give her to Will and let Mia leave town.
Ahh Brady has been fooled again. This is John Black's son and Victor's grandson? Maybe we need another paternity test?
Ok we only got a picture of Sydney today. Bring that baby back!
