11/11 episode review
Maybe it was just me, but I found DAYS as dull as dishwater today.
Brady/Arianna – We didn’t even have Caroline or Roman to break up this snoozefest. Sorry, I’m just not feeling it for this couple in any way, shape or form.
Stephanie/Nathan/Melanie/Phillip – Tedious quad scene filler. Why don’t these crazy kids just make up their minds about who they want to be with and let’s get on with it!
Stefano/Kate/Chloe – I’m still trying to figure out what’s going on with Kate. She does a good act of pretending like she cares about Stefano, but does she really? When the maid left Baby Sydney with Kate, that was pretty funny. And just a little bit of Chloe on screen works fine for me. But it’s kind of silly that with all of the hits that Stefano has been responsible for over the years, that he had to turn tail and run this time. Wouldn’t someone like him have a contingency plan?
Rafe/Sami/EJ/Nicole – All about da teasers and da plot today…and Rafe finally starts to tell Sami da truth! I’m so over this and ready it all to bust wide open. And there’s one part of this that bothers me. DAYS is writing this like as soon as Sami finds out about Sydney, all of the grief and pain about Grace won’t matter anymore. She’ll just have a clean slate with a new baby and her lover Rafe…and then they’ll all live happily ever after. I almost hope Sydney will have a hard time adjusting to Sami for a while, just to add a little reality to the situation. I remember in the 80s when Andrew Donovan was kidnapped and missing for months…and once Kim finally got him back, he was crying non-stop because he wasn’t used to his momma anymore. That was angsty stuff based somewhat in truth. Oh, and another thing…I hope EJ finds out the truth right away because all of this covering up the truth stuff is getting so tired now.

Sami will be furious but somewhat sympathetic because of her own past..yeah we will see a really mature Sami..(i don't know what to think about that..), of course she will hate Nicole but still she will let Nicole holding Sydney one last time for Sydney's sake (so she thinks it's the last time, dear Nicole can be resourceful..).
I am really disapointing about one thing : Nicole will not be humiliated in front of all Salem like Sami was every time her evil deeds were discovered..what a waste..we want soapy godness drama with all the Days players in the same scene..sigh..

ReplyDeleteI'm taking a wait and see attitude. But it sounds like Nicole won't be punished much - she'll get a slap but everyone will have sympathy for her. Maybe that's considered layered writing but for me it sounds like it could be a letdown. Does anyone get a true comeuppance in Salem? I expect a serious throwndown between Sami and Nicole, not sympathy. Perhaps it will play out better than it sounds.
The Kate/Sydney scene was hilarious.
ReplyDeleteThe Kate and Stefano story, which is a gazillion times more entertaining than the boring teen set, got off to a great start with the wedding from hell, but it's petered out since then. Hopefully the writers will revisit it after the baby swap winds down (assuming it ever does!) and Vivian enters the picture.
I suspect that Kate's motives at this point are mixed at best. I hope that over time she'll surprise herself and fall in love with Stefano for real.
Maybe the show is rewarding the fans with a crappy letdown because the writers are tired of doing the stroyline?
ReplyDeleteRafe/Arianna I don't know Diva I sort of enjoyed their scenes when Arianna was telling the truth about her drug dealing. It seemed they were coming together more as a couple. I really like Brady, but they still have to do more with him than just having him help women who have gotten themselves in over their heads.
ReplyDeletePhilip/Nathan/Melanie/Steph I think they should just do the triangle with Phil, Nat and Mel and Steph can take a hike. I just can't seem to like her with anyone. Melanie I think I would enjoy with either guy.
Kate/Steffie/Chloe. I love the State scenes today when they seem to be caring about each other. You're right Diva still not sure if Kate is playing Steffie or not, but I did enjoy that passionate kiss Stefano planted on Kate. Kate actually having to ask Chloe for a favor was fun to watch.
The Baby Switch Gang. All I found myself doing was screaming at the TV God just tell her already. All this plot build up and now I am hearing we get a let down for the reveal. Guess I will go off to see for myself.
