Wow, who makes such dumb decisions for this show? I didn't know that Chloe was leaving. Who decided that: NB or tptb? Her story line was no good. I think I could get more enjoyment out of watching paint dry than more Dannifer. Maybe Nadia will move to Llanview instead.
ReplyDeleteI do enjoy the Kate/Rafe pairing. Now that's hot. The rest of it is just a basic mess.
Disagree. Yep the Jennifer-Daniel-Chloe saga is a mess but other stories are not bad just need some movements.
ReplyDeleteThe Ej-Sami proposal yep the set up is lame : Brady Pub ew..Ej's hair cut..ew but the chemistry between the two actors is still the best this soap has had in decades imho.
Vargas is hot and interesting
And Kate/Rafe are ok, not really hot imo but not bad either.
It seems like Chloe just got to Salem. They wasted a perfect opportunity; they could've done so many different things instead of opting for boring Daniel. I miss Phillip. Was he cut from the show, or did he leave on his own? I never know where to find info like that!
ReplyDeleteI think the funniest SL they did was Vivian and the sarcophagus!
He decided to leave, the show wanted to keep him. And it was the second time he left, however the first time he was recast and then he came back.
DeleteAll of the story-lines are very well done & engrossing except for the Jennifer-Daniel "anti-romance." How is that the character, Jennifer is painted as a paradigm of virtue here? Ugh, the character is so sanctimonious and so declasse as to engender no empathy for her and her ridiculous plight. What widow whose so-called storybook beloved's grave is still cold shacks up with the town Lothario and on her grandma's couch no less? Too, I think from a feminist perspective, the storyline was very misogynistic in that the Chloe character was stereotyped as a needy, neurotic, co-dependent rather than simply the mother of her once-upon-a-time fiance's son. When she re-surfaced in Salem, the character Chloe was painted to appear more self-assured and self-aware; it was then sad to see the character devolve into neurosis. Instead of taking that tack, I'd prefer the writers turn the character into a full-fledged, mega-villain ready to fight for what she wanted instead of walking away and leaving her son with her arch rival and enemy. I'm sorry but no mother anywhere would simply pick up and leave her baby son with a former lover's girlfriend. That was an awful way to wind up the story and sends a very terrible message to young women and girls.
