Nichols rips DAYS a new one
While all the Skorks are still celebrating Stephen Nichols' return to soaps, the actor has made quite a few well-deserved digs at DAYS in this TV Guide interview. Before anyone comments about the audacity of a disgruntled actor being bitchy, I have to say that I agree with him 100%. For so many years, DAYS fans wanted to see Stephen Nichols and Mary Beth Evans back as Steve and Kayla on the show again. The way the return was so bungled, only to result in the actors to be backburned and fired was simply ridiculous. I can't wait to see how Nichols will shake up Y&R. I hope they treat him well there; and I hope he can hold his own amongst the egos of Eric Braeden and Peter Bergman!!!

Spot on, Diva!!! You hit the nail on the head! I have no doubt that SN will rock Y&R's world! You can rest assured that this 'McCall Girl' will be watching him every step of the way. DOOL can kiss off. They bungled a gold mine, and I hope Y&R reaps major benefits from extraordinary talent known as Stephen Nichols!!!
ReplyDeleteI couldn't agree with you more, Diva. I think Stephen was far nicer in talkng about Days than I would have been. He hasn't even aired on Y&R yet, and already he's got a whole new group calling themselves "McCall Girls!" LOLOL Here's to a long and prosperous run as Y&R's maveric billionaire!

ReplyDeleteI personally don't find Stephen's comments remotely bitchy. He's just telling it like it was, and I bet he could have said much worse.
Y&R is a mixed bag these days but hiring Stephen was a smart move. I hope they treat him better than DOOL did, and GH as well. I hated the way Stefan Cassadine was used to prop up the all-mighty Luke Spencer. Now I can't wait to see Tucker give the all-mighty Victor Newman a run for his money.
I am thrilled beyond words that Stephen is associated with Y&R. This "McCall Girl" is pleased as punch!

His remarks were completely justified. SN and MB were treated horribly in their return to Days. They deserved so much better than that because they are one of the reasons that Days was so huge in the 1980's. I am psyched to see SN on Y&R. He's going to rock as Tucker. I just know it.
