More salt in the wound... Can you imagine the storyline possibilites if Steve and Kayla were still 'in town'? We all know that Lawrence Alimain was behind Steve's 'death'. What's next? Bring back Jack, Jo, and a Marcus rescast? And like the Diva, Lawrence never floated my boat either.
But Jack and Jennifer were the primary protagonists to Lawrence. So, they should have had Lawrence back when they were on the show and they brought back Steve. Lawrence was always goading Jack because of Jack's past, and because he wanted Jack to get violent. Jack knew that Lawrence had Steve killed and hated him but did not want to fall into violence, since he worried he was a violent person. Then Jack found out Lawrence raped Jennifer, and his rape of Kayla resurfaced. Kayla hated Lawrence and helped to bring him down. Back in 1991 it was Jack, Jennifer, Kayla and Shane who tried to get the goods on Lawrence to help convict him of rape. And Jack and Lawrence had some real scenes. And two really cool sword fights. Back in 06 with Jack and Steve and Kayla back, it would have been the time; not now. And with Jack's past Lawrence bringing it out for Abigail to find out, that would have been a great story. Not the silliness of Jack dying again, or the loser Frankie returning and Jennifer having sex with him for no reason other than JERk hating happy couples, especially Jack.
I'm not sure that attempting to recreate the past with Lawerence or Carly is going to work anymore than attempting to recreate Passions thru Luis/Theresa/Ethan.
I think there's going to be more character cuts, too. Kate, Lucas and Chloe are going to become irrelevent. Kate ends up in prison/insane asylum with Laura, Lucas and Chloe eventually ride off into the sunset to make their marriage work.
I was thinking they should bring on Amelia Marshall who played Liz on Passions as a recast of Nurse Lynn who was Stefano's sidekick when Laura was on the Days. Stefano could have come back as someone else and lure Abe into having an affair with her so that he could break up Abe's marriage to Lexie.
I was thinking they should fired all the P*SSonit people, and bring back REAL actors and REAL writers and producers. There was a reason that P*SSonit failed, why it bombed when it went to Sci Fi, and then again when it went to DirecTV, BECAUSE THE ACTING AND WRITING WAS PATHETIC, AND STUPID.
It pains me to see how far Days has sunk. I once would've been heartbroken to see it end. Now, it seems like it would be merciful for it to just end. Days was special. I can't believe they are making it Passions II...
But then DAYS has not been good since 1993 when JERk first came over and started ruining the show. I do not know why any soap producer or network would want that man, but NBC loved him and his style of writing. Sure there was some blimp when he first was on, but he alienated millions of fans in 1993, and many people who watched for the Satan crap did so to see how pathetic the show could get -- it was like MST 3K, the watched to make fun of silly writing, bad production and bad acting.
Nadia is safe, who knows why because she surely cannot act. I see photos of Chloe from banners at SC and there is always that same wide eyed vapid look to all Nadia's photos -- even photos from pictures not from the show or from photo shots. It is always the same artificial, blank look. And the same thrusting out of the chest. Nadia is the perfect P*SSonit person, no talents but showing off as much flesh as possible. As a straight woman, the male underwear models who cannot act do nothing for me, and that is triply true for Nadia, what is the point the majority of viewers are women.

Btw, how are these writers going to accomodate all these actors? Are some of the present actors leaving and we just don't know it?
