Your mother was an Other.
Talk about messed up! OMG!!! They killed Farraday! Holy shit. I did not see that one coming. What a shame.
So tonight was the Farraday episode. We see his mum, Eloise, meeting with Penelope to see how Desmond was doing after Ben shot him at the pier. We see that Eloise drove Daniel to pursue his destiny of science and math. I still don't know why she shot him though.
Apparently, his time traveling caused him memory damage. We saw that when he first arrived on the island. Charlotte was always helping him with his memory. Maybe we haven't seen the last of him since he wrote down in his journal that one day on the beach that "Desmond Hume is my constant." He might have meant the time he told Des at the hatch to find his mother. His experiments ruined the health of his girlfriend, Teresa. We saw her when Des visited her. And we saw tonight Farraday talking with Dr. Chang like we saw in that one episode, and Daniel warning Charlotte to leave the island. I thought he told her if she came back, she would die. Clever to use the "not eating chocolate before dinner" line again.
The Diva totally called Widmore being his father. lol I don't remember which post, but yeah, I called that one. So both his parents sent him on the island to be shot by his mother. That's so sick.
I don't know if setting off the bomb is a good idea. lol Jack seemed interested. Kate did not seem interested that her plane could land in LA, and she would be in prison for a significant amount of years. Can't blame her on that one. I wouldn't be surprised if she ruins Jack's plans. If they do pull it off, it would be such a bummer way to end the show. Everything gets erased, and we see their plane land. *yawn* No thank you.
Next week looks good. Sayid and Locke are on. My mind is still blown. What a waste. So Farraday's big destiny was to be shot in the back by his mom. Bummer dude.
The Diva fans have spoken. Looks like I have another xtranormal animation to create. Give me some time on that one. I hope you guys have enjoyed the ones that others have made. There's so much untapped creativity in soapland. You'd think the show would do something crazy like hire a fan to consult on storylines. Wouldn't that be something?
Tell me what you thought about today's eppy.
Charlotte did tell Daniel that a man told her that if she came back to the island, she would die. And that the man was him.
ReplyDeleteI think that everything that is going on is like an unending circle. That the plane crash survivors helped to shape the island to be the way it is in present day by the things they did in the past. I think Daniels' mother doesn't believe in changing people's fate and that is why she encouraged him to go to the island. She was pretty torn up about it when she mentioned it to Widmore.
I was worried there that Des would die. And was I the only one who shouted to Pen not to leave Little Charlie with some strange nurse. Trust no one -- opps wrong show.
ReplyDeleteI was shocked Daniel was shot but then when the scene lasted as long as it did and he had the gun on Richard and he kept telling Daniel Ellie was not around I thought in some twisted, sick karmic twist that she would kill him.
Of course, it is the Island, and the Island does save people it wants to save so it is not 100% a certainty. He could be MOSTLYDead. And if Ellie knew that the Island would save him maybe she figured it would be easier to shout him, and he be thought dead and thus Charles would not stop him from doing what he had to do.
Well, I was so glad that Sawyer is not swayed by Kate anymore, and that Charlotte does support Sawyer. I feared she was be killed -- and it still is a possibility.
But damn the 05-1 returns and all hell breaks loose for poor Lefties -1.
I like that Hurley stayed with Sawyer, he did so last year when they were at the Other's compound. Also shows that Jin and Miles trusts Sawyer too.
Damn forgot to add.
ReplyDeleteSo, seems like Eloise told Desmond she was sorry for what she did to him. Does that mean she told him he does not have to go to the Island afterall? But I cannot see the show nor the Island done with Desmond and Penelop; which leads me back to not trusting the nurses. Why would they tell her they would watch Charlie. Desmond was not seriously injured, and the kid was worried about his father. So, someone kidnaps the kid to get Desmond to go to the Island afterall. This time Penelope goes along as per his promise, and Charlie is her son too.
Also, I found Richard interesting. He seemed to be pretty peaceful. I do not think he is Evil but is some observer. Theories are that he is some Egyptian high priest, and is connected to the Island and Smokey. I think so too. He had many opportunities to hurt people and never has. I think he is waiting around for the person or people who will best serve the Island. So far Widmore and Ben did it for their own personal, selfish reasons.
I know we saw in that first flashback that Daniel warned Charlotte not to come back, but he didn't say that last night. Maybe this is the time baby Miles leaves too.
ReplyDeleteYou could be right about Eloise thinking you can't change fate. You'd think she would try though. She must be a psychic of some sort because she told Penny she didn't know what was going to happen next which wasn't necessarily true since Daniel died shortly after she said that. You'd think she'd try to save her son though. His death must serve some greater purpose, but I don't know what.
Yeah, Penny leaving Charlie was weird. But Penny's naive in all of this.
ReplyDeleteDaniel looked pretty dead. But we'll see. I think the island would want the Swan station to be built, not blown up by Daniel.
Yeah Juliet could still be killed off. There's a rumor she got cast in "V" remake. Sawyer's trying to keep his Dharma life. Jin, Miles, and Hurley want the same thing. They don't want to go back to the beach. But yeah, Sawyer has kept them comfortable for three years. Jack kept getting them killed off for 3 months.
I think Eloise is sorry in general for the path Desmond's life took. But I think she was making a psychic prediction that the island wasn't done with Des.
Richard does seem very passive. I'm dying to see his story. I hope he gets a full eppy about him.
I just remember something from Season III. Remember when Desmond got sick from turning the key, and he kept mind time traveling. He went back and he bought the ring and it was Eloise. Meanwhile Desmond was repeatedly trying to save Charlie's life? Then another time jump he was on a bench and Eloise appeared again. She showed him a guy who was about to get killed and told him that she was following him around stopping him from dying; however, she realized that she could not prevent it. The mind traveling was to show Desmond that Charlie was meant to die and he could not prevent it, it would just be a constant loop.
ReplyDeleteThough what if it was more than just a message to let Charlie die. What if she found someone who died and tried to prevent it. She used that guy as an experiment. She kept doing researching on time used the guy to see if something could be done to end the loop. She knew if she could save this guy then she could prevent her Past!self from killing Future!Daniel.
Several years have gone by since the scene with Desmond on the bench. That was before Desmond left for the Island, he was on the Island three years before the Losties, and then it has been three years since the he and the O6 left -- at least six years, probably more. So in that time she might have found a variable to the cycle, or she realized there was none and that nothing she could do would save her son, so he might as well die as he originally was suppose to.
