No funeral for Tony

The Diva Spy Network had a hard time sneaking into the Thaao/Leann chat. The room was full! But we got some tidbits for ya.
No funeral for Tony. Seriously, unless you are a Brady or Horton, why bother right? Tony is found dead. I'm assuming that means no scenes of Tony actually dying. That's too bad, because Thaao does death scenes so well. I guess TIIC didn't want Thaao getting another Emmy pre-nom next year. The Diva believes he also mentioned "Tony" smoking a cigar. We all know what that means.
Thaao said he suggested that Leann be brought back 3 years ago, but only Sheffer was interested. He said he was "hostile" towards Corday his last day of work. He questioned why did they kill Tony instead of just letting Tanna leave town. Corday lowered his head and wouldn't look at him. Good for him! It's about time someone questions Corday on his dumb ass decision making. Tony's dead in 3 weeks. Where's the buildup?
EDIT: The Diva got more info. Leann said that they tried to make Anna more serious this time, but Leann kept playing it for comedy. Why would you not want Leann to be funny? She also said her Dawson's Creek role was her favorite besides Anna.

Corday should hang his head in shame. He has shown absolutely no loyalty to the actors who did, and still could, make the show great again. Instead he shows loyalty to newbies who can't act and lets the writers write pretty much what they want. Days used to have my loyalty. No more!

ReplyDeleteThat is just bullshit. Sooooo Tony is just gonna show up dead and just disappear...am I correct on this? I wonder where his wife is when he shows up dead anyway. It would have been so much easier to just let Tony and Anna ride off in the sun set. Well I shouldn't say that cause knowing Corday,Tony would have ended up paralized and Anna would have been overly gaspy. You can't win for losing with this show and it is terrible.
ReplyDeleteDon't you think that not only does the show want to expunge any actor from the past, it also does not want fans around who want the past. I think that is part of the reason for the stories, they are purposefully alienating any fan who actually demands quality, and a return to DAYS. TMFIC want a new soap, but realize they cannot change the name.
ReplyDeleteThere are more new actors return, as they slash and burn the established ones. I would not be surprised if in a few months they change their tune and get rid of Kristian and Peter, since they seem to be purposefully sabotaging their characters as well.
There was a time I was hopeful and longing for my favorites returning I have no hope now, and TMIFC have done me a great service, due to their terrible writing the fact there is no hope for a return of my favorites -- gone long before the purge -- does not bother me at all, whereas in the past, the other times they were gone, it did.
This is bullshit! So Tony dies a lame death just to prop that pain in the ass Melanie and her stupid fuels project. Man Thaao was really thrown under the bus this time! A senseless death involving a fight with no really good death scene and a another slap in the face to Tanna fans with Anna not even being there for Tony. God I hate this show and Corday especailly for how he has treated his vetern stars
