Fired Days actors react
Soap Opera Digest collected some of the responses of the fired Days of our Lives actors. They did not add that Sarah Brown (Madison) found out via twitter that she was fired.
UPDATE: Sarah said she didn't learn of her firing through twitter, she was just upset that someone leaked it to Soap Opera Digest without telling her. That's the way they do things at Days.
Well i don't write to networks about soaps, not worth my time and money sorry..but if i would it would be for Christie Clark, she is a core character, the big sister of Sami Brady, the good girl (and Sami doesn't need to be destroyed by brainwashed as some heroine thank you very much, we want her grey sometimes dark !) and she could have still lot's of stories like being involved in Will storyline, being frenemy with her sister, having a story with her birth mother Anna (which could develop a rivalty between Anna and Marlena..) ect.. Carrie is not my favorite character but she is NEEDED !
ReplyDeleteOn the other hand i would also write but this time to ask to drop out Galen Gering, the guy is dull on-screen and his character is a dud.
And i am really mad about Matt Ashford, he should write them a big FUCK YOU !
Anyway with moves like that they can say goodbye to their soap, NBC are really the biggest losers.
p.s: write for Christie people !
For what it's worth, Sarah Brown said in a subsequent tweet that she didn't learn of her firing via twitter.
ReplyDeleteReally ? Wow Ken Corday you are garbage as well as your weak network..i am not even a fan of Carrie Brady but she is needed on the canvas and i like Christie Clark, lovely, beautiful actress.
ReplyDeleteI love Days! It is the only show worth watching on NBC (Showtime & HBO have the networks beat where it concerns everything else...).
ReplyDeleteThat said, I believe that the powers-that-be at Days and NBC jumped the gun in mass firing all those actors last June. It was unwise from a business perspective to get rid of the characters, Chloe and Carly: Chloe because that character resonates with young viewers and Carly because she is a strong, modern woman who had the potential for some interesting storylines...I too think Vivian should have remained on the canvas as well...The issue here was not with these specific characters but it was storylines written for them that need tweaking...The writing was off; if better dialogue was written for Vivian; i.e., more diabolical and not a re-hash of a past storyline.
So once again, there is an unnecessary mass exodus: beloved characters, Jack, Carrie and Austin have been shown the door, and new character, Madison did not even have a chance to do much and she too is exiting. Again, storylines need tweaking but firing seems so very unnecessary.
Everytime the show fires beloved characters, the producers run the risk of alienating the audience. No one enjoys seeing anyone fired.
It kind of reminds me of what radio has been reduced to .. desperation for any ratings possible and hair trigger firings to protect other peoples backsides. They should either relax and accept the ratings as they are or else abandon ship.
ReplyDeleteKen Corday is an idiot simple as that firing people won't make your show stay on air get it mr Corday
ReplyDeleteI think YOU are the worst... and ur lips are disgusting.. cut down on the filler lady ewww
ReplyDeleteI think they need a new writer for the show it will go down the tubes soon.or it will be cancled,
ReplyDeletethe episode where stefano says EJ is not his son has been the best in a long time... I had tears in my eyes... I think Stefano is a GREAT actor
