There's a very good reason why I haven't been posting, I don't watch DOOL anymore. This Diva is not a douchebag. I refuse to blog about something that I don't watch like a certain "journalist" we all know. BTW, have you guys noticed that he keeps using the word, "douchebag" in his articles? Does he miss me? lol Is he trying to provoke me into doing another "Nelson Branco is a douchebag part 10?"
Just from reading the spoilers, I'm not surprised with all the newbies. Corday had no intention to shrink the cast any. Higley has no intention to write for any character she didn't create. *yawn*
BTW, there's a totally unsubstantiated rumor that Deidre is coming back to the show. Just thought I'd throw that out there. It's a rumor only.
I'm guessing that Dena never watched Dynasty. Anyone else think it's weird that they casted Gordon Thompson who played Leann Hunley's ex on Dynasty. I'm glad that they didn't bring him in for Anna. This Diva can't see Anna DiMera dating a mortician. lol Still though, the Adam/Dana romance/marriage/break up on Dynasty was a world wide sensation.

Since MBE/SN are supposed to be on recurring? Why were they not there for Stephanie's engagement/kidnapping? This show is so stupid.

Stephanie was so irritating during the last fake crisis. Days has become Passions. No two ways about it. I am waiting for Mia to become possessed by the devil and do a Linda Blair. The show really blows.

ReplyDeleteGlad to see The Diva back. Corday never had any balls to remove. I think the cast is higher now than before the vets were fired. They just keep appearing everyday. And they are all so bad too,except for the funeral directer and his son. Oh can you only imagine the great storylines for Thaao if Ed Scott had stayed. DAMN CORDAY! That character is from Othello. Not into Shakespeare so not sure who the heck they are talking about on Days.

I was laughing my butt off when the morons said they were bringing in an Horton, and the Horton is Pete Janning and Melissa Anderson's son. HELLO, I watched during that time, THEY MARRIED but Pete had a kid with his fellow gang banger's sister, Ivy. He and Melissa eventually divorced and Pete left town with Ivy and his kid. Then Melissa remained in town, and got involved with Lars, Britta's slimebag brother, than Jack during his slimely days, then she dumped Jack at the altar (November of 88), and returned single in February 90. And eventually got involved with Emilio -- whom she killed NYE 90/91. Then she got involved in Brian Scofield, and left in the spring of 91. Never once was Pete mentioned. She returned a few times since but nary a word, though she was pregnant and married, that she remarried Pete.

Sandy Horton (Tommy Horton's daughter) left in 82 or so and has never been mentioned, she could have a kid. David Banning (Julie's grandson, Addie's grandson) has not been mentioned since he left in the early 80s, he could have another kids. Scott Banning (David's son, Julie's grandson) left with Faith in 90 and neither have been mentioned, they could have a kid. But NOOOOOO.
And these newbies are more teens. Okay. Tell me again the firings and refusing to return vets the fans clamor for -- which includes Matt Ashford and Missy Reeves -- were financially based and not due to agism and the inability to write for established characters because that means research and writing true to history and character.
Dee return, well considering I found Dee/Marlena to fit perfectly in with JERk's crapfest show, she might as well return for Dena and Tomlin's homage to JERk, she will fit in perfectly. This time Dee can be abducted by space aliens, and have yet another bout of amnesia and kill off the remaining vets. Then she will be exonerated because as always it was some weird plot device. Maybe she can be cured and Doc Sleazy and she can have sex in an elevator.

ReplyDeleteSN and MBE are not recurring. Their contracts have expired and they were told they were no longer required. Great timing with Stephanie in the middle of a front burner storyline.

ReplyDeleteThe new characters are less than enthralling and Gary Tomlin's revisit to Passions literally made me ill
I will Follow Nichols and Evans anywhere but Tomlin and Higley well they no longer exist and Corday effected asked us all to leave. We did and Days right now lives only as a memory for what Corday airs is NOT DAYS at all and not worth my time.
ITA that this Days is not Days anymore. I hear of more and more long time viewers who are longer watching the show for that reason. It's sad that tptb at Days aren't paying attention to that. As a former long-time viewer myself, I don't see myself ever going back to Days in the state it's in now. Too few vets and too many new characters. Besides that, the stories are snoozeville.
ReplyDeleteThe idea of Pete and Melissa procreating is scary. I seriously doubt those morons managed to create a doctor. Melissa was boring as hell. Pete was annoying as hell. They should have just kept Nick Fallon. Why bother bringing in a newbie for Melanie? Why not just get rid of her?
ReplyDeleteI thought Corday said that SN/MBE would make periodic appearances. I knew that was bullshit when I heard it. Still, this would have been a good time to bring them back. We all know Steve would have moved heaven and earth to get Stephanie back. We're missing great scenes with Steve confronting Victor, Philip, Stefano, and EJ.
ReplyDeleteCorday said the same thing to and about Matt Ashford. See how often he has popped up in the 2 1/2 years he has been gone. He lied then and he lied to and about SN/MBE. He knew these three were very popular, talented and wanted to keep the fans on a hook and the actors on a hook: Typical Corday behavior.
ReplyDeleteBut I think these three are better far away from DAYS. The morons in charge could not write for their complex characters. And they would be sidelined or in stupid stories as they are doing to B/H. I still remember Dena's big story for J/J, that stupid talk show. And no wedding night or honeymoon, and their remarriage not about them.
