  1. I hope once Kristen is gone (boo to that again..snif), Marlena will still have a storyline and screen-time !
I don't know.. give Marlena a new guy and then after a while bring John back..make the guy a little devious who bring the spunk in MarMar but not a total villain (would be too much predictable with John coming to the rescue as usual..zzz) and make a legit triangle for a while where Marlena is really torned this time.
Some actors in these interviews are so likable you discover you miss them on your screen on a daily basis..although their characters most of the time are totally different to their more fun and realistic real personalities..the job of acting actually i guess..ha.

    1. You'd think some of the actors would take their own spunk and add it to their characters. Some of them don't which is weird.

    2. well, i think, most of the time, the writing and directing outpower the actor choices.. Moreover on soaps now, they don't have much time so they really play what is on page and most directors doesn't like very much improvisation..Movie directors are notorious for that and it frustrates a lot actors, most of the time, of course, lol.

    3. I disagree. Actors can put their own stamp on a character. Steve Blackwood (Bart) wouldn't have lasted as long as he did on Days if he did what was on the script exactly as written. Bart was popular, the writers changed their writing for Bart to fit Steve's acting interpretations of the role. Bart was never supposed to be comic relief. Same with Leann Hunley. Anna was not supposed to be a funny character, she was intended to break up Roman and Marlena as a villainous interloper. Leann made Anna hers.

  2. What about bringing back Bill Horton and trying something between him and Marlena ? Kate, Stefano could get in the way..Lucas could have more screentime, with his dad he doesn't know very well, on the canvas.. Bill is not an all-around good guy..after all his volatile story with Laura, and his own brother Mickey, his cheating ways, his 'bad/deadbeat father' attitude towards his children. Would be a nice change from 'perfect' John..and then John comes back and a layered triangle is born ! With some good Stefano, Kate shenanigans ect..mixing up.

    1. I'm all for that especially the actor who played Bill the last time.

    2. Yep, he had some great charisma in the little time we saw him on-screen (although far too young to be Bill..but oh well it is a soap and not the worst thing they could do). I could see him with Deidre Hall, of course chemistry has to there..but they just have to try to see if it works !

    3. A Bill/Kate/Marlena triangle with some Stefano thrown in would work for me.
