“I think that Hell has frozen over… Carly & I actually agree on something”

Bo attempts to leave the hospital against Carly’s wishes. Carly is afraid that whoever did this will try again. Victor arrives and actually agrees with Carly. Victor proceeds to ask Bo if he noticed any coincidence between what happened with him and what happened with Lawrence Alamain. Carly takes Bo home and complains that she feels that he would be safer at the hospital. Bo has a flashback, although he can’t remember exactly what happened, other than the fact that he was there at the house and then all of a sudden had a terrible headache… which has come back again.

Hope arrives at the house to find Bo and Carly on the couch getting ready to try some relaxation exercises. Carly offers to put Bo through the exercises while Hope is there just in case Bo remembers something – Bo thinks back to when he and Hope were sailing around the world. He tells Carly that he’s on the Fancy Face with Hope and that all his pain is gone. Carly asks him what he saw the previous night.

Johnny and Sami arrive home… and Johnny is not happy. He wants he jacket, he wants a popsicle… to which EJ says yes, while Sami says no. Sami becomes the mean parent, because she always says no. Why is the mom always the mean parent??? EJ apparently talks to Johnny, who ultimately apologizes to Sami. EJ tells Sami that she is amazing and she has a hard time accepting the compliment. She starts to clean up the living room and finds the penguin that Rafe gave to Johnny. EJ asks her what’s wrong and she tells EJ that Johnny told her that he wanted to talk to the Judge and tell him that he loved his daddy more than his mommy. EJ tells her that Johnny told the exact opposite thing. She thinks he’s joking and realizes that the whole shared custody isn’t great. EJ starts to explain that “When we’re married…” and Sami asks him to repeat that.

Hope and Justin discuss how Ciara might have reacted. Hope is also afraid for Bo’s life and tries to explain to Justin how she really feels about Bo. Justin offers to be there for Hope and help her in any way that she can. Hope asks for space and Justin is confused – asking her what their kiss meant. Hope asks why he’s bringing it up now… not remembering her kiss from the other night. She explains that she may never be ready to move on from Bo.

Nicole tells EJ that she wants money from him. EJ warns Nicole that he can ruin things for she & Brady just as easily as she can for he and Sami. Ej tells Nicole that he will pay of off at this point, but if the tapes happen to return, he will kill her. Sounds like I typical DiMera fest to me! Nicole hears Sydney crying and reacts strangely.

Sami takes Johnny to see Rafe so that he can take a picture of the fingerprint machine to show and tell. Rafe tries to push Sami away and tells her that he’s doing it all for her. He tells her that if she wants to make a life for her & EJ, he’s fine with it. Sami claims that Rafe is sending mixed signals and storms away. Rafe continues to work with Nicole’s diary, realizing that each number represents a different location. Rafe thinks he finds the first tape, but it’s not where the diary states that it is.

Maggie and Brady discuss his incident… and Nicole. Maggie feels like Nicole is playing Brady while his defenses are low. Brady explains to Maggie that she thinks Nicole is trying to become a better person. Maggie doesn’t believe that Nicole really hasn’t changed. Maggie tells Brady she feels like Brady is being evasive and that he’s not acting like himself.

Victor arrives at Maggie’s to tell her that Bo has been released from the hospital and is surprised to see Brady at the house. Brady sees Victor’s arrival as a way for him to leave. Maggie and Victor talk about Brady and how Maggie feels as though she’s failing him. Maggie again tells Victor that he’s married and that he shouldn’t be coming to her home and should instead be spending time with his wife.

Dick tells Nicole that he plans to leave town and asks for money. She tells him no and that if he doesn’t continue to lie low, he will be lying underground.

EJ mentioned marriage, much to Sami’s surprise and EJ is upset that Sami thinks the idea is funny. Sami ultimately asks if EJ is proposing… and he tells her no. EJ tells Sami that he’s happy with the way things are to spare Sami (and his) feelings. EJ tells Sami that if he asks Sami to marry him, she’ll know and proceeds to show her how he would propose to her. I need a man to propose like that to me! Sami is glad that he’s not really proposing because they’re not ready… EJ “agrees” saying that they shouldn’t be listening to their heart at this point, which plays on Sami’s emotions.

Sami stops in at the Pub to see Caroline and tells Caroline how EJ attempted to proposed. Sami admits that she didn’t say anything but yet has no idea what she is supposed to do. Sami tells Caroline that she knows she should give him a chance because he’s changed but she can’t because she’s still in love with Rafe. Caroline wants to know why Sami would even consider marrying EJ. Sami confesses its because she doesn’t have a future with Rafe and that she needs to do what’s best for her kids. Sami thinks that this time with be different with EJ.

Dick runs when he sees Brady… Brady gives chase. Brady tells Nicole that he saw Dick on the pier and she almost faints. Nicole tells Brady that Dick is dead and that there is no way that Brady could have seen him. She tells Brady that he must have saw someone else who looks like Dick. Nicole says she hopes that he has left town, Brady hopes the opposite so that he can be brought to justice and that he’s called the police. Dick calls Nicole to tell her that Brady saw him. Nicole tells Brady that she can’t have lunch because she needs to deal with a situation down at the station. Brady follows Nicole to the pier to discuss the phone call that she received because he believes that it was about Baker. Nicole tells Brady that finding out that Dick was still alive and in town completely freaked her out and rushes away.

Bo says he remembers what happened while he’s under and wakes up shocked. He tells Carly that he remembers smelling gasoline and that he saw Ciara at Victor’s house. Bo remembers that he and Ciara were speaking about Bo and that it was important. Hope wants to know why and Bo tells her that he had been to Victor’s to see Hope, but that she wasn’t there.

Bo and Carly discuss his safety after he tells her that he wants to go down to the station to look through his old files

Carly wants him home and on the couch and Bo wants to be at work trying to figure out who would want him dead.

Carly goes to Victor’s to ask Hope to try and talk to Bo into taking some time and resting. Hope offers to speak to Bo, although she doesn’t think it will help. Hope and Carly argue and finally Hope tells her that all she wants is to find out who tried to murder Bo. Viv walks in and tells Hope to look no further… and points to Carly.

Bo makes it down to the station and sees Abe and Theo. Theo tells Bo that Ciara’s treasures are wallets. Wonder if Bo is going to start putting two and two together soon…

Vivian walks in on Victor slinging back the whiskey or whatever they decided to put in the decanter… and he’s not pleased with her since he’s suspicious of her actions and tells her that for all he knows, Viv tried to kill Bo. Victor tells Viv that he knew where she was, so he knows that she didn’t try to kill Bo. Vivian tells Victor that of course she plans to honor her wedding vows. Victor tells Viv not to bring up any kind of love, because he doesn’t want to lose his lunch. Vivian wonders aloud if Maggie shut him down.

Stefano and EJ discuss Sami and EJ tells his father that Sami will be living at the mansion full time. Stefano isn’t surprised. EJ also tells Stefano that he plans to marry Sami again. Stefano can’t imagine why EJ would want to do that again.

Dick calls and gets DT Hope, who has no idea who is on the other end of the phone. He tells her that he was spotted and wanted to warn her.

July 30, 2010

Caroline tells Sami that she should marry EJ. Sami is shocked and wants to know why Caroline agrees that she should marry EJ. Caroline wants to stop having the same conversations because she’s tired of voicing her concerns about EJ and the DiMeras. Sami tells Caroline that she’s confused about her feelings… she loves Rafe, but sometimes isn’t sure that he loves her. Caroline ultimately ends up dismissing Sami in favor of making tomorrow’s clam chowder.

Rafe heads out to look at Nicole’s last hiding spot… which apparently has something to do with Fay. Rafe shows up to see Fay and ask her about Nicole.

Bo and Theo continue to talk about Ciara’s treasures. Bo and Abe discuss Theo’s revelations and decide to see Ciara. Bo visits Ciara at camp to ask about Hope’s treasures. Ciara won’t talk about them, and he can’t make her. Bo apologizes for not believing Ciara at first and he tells her that he needs her help so that he can help Hope. Ciara makes Bo promise that if she helps that he and Hope won’t get a divorce. Bo explains that he can’t make any kind of promises. Ciara tells Bo that Hope had the wallets in a box under her bed and that they were the treasures that she was going to show Bo. Ciara tells Bo that the wallets belonged to all the people that mugged in Salem.

Vivian continues to tell Hope how it is completely possible that Carly could have attempted to kill Bo since she is a Black Widow Spider, after all - Especially since she “killed” her precious Lawrence. Hope and Carly both tell Vivian that she needs to get out of Salem. The “girls” share a moment over their hatred for Viv. However, the way she described the person who tried to kill Bo felt right to Hope… does this mean that Carly will soon be catching on to NT Hope’s antics. Hope asks Carly if she knew that she was going to kill Lawrence… Carly doesn’t understand why Hope needs to know. Carly admits that she did it out of desperation at the time. And although its something she regrets, she knows it was something that needed to be done. Carly knows that she’ll be haunted for the rest of her life – Hope tells her that Carly was very brave to do what she did. Hope tells Carly that she just needs to lie down and get some sleep…

Hope digs through her purse looking for her sleeping pills and can’t imagine how she could have run out… NT Hope appears after a brief, but refreshing nap.

Carly tells Vivian to leave Hope out of their issues and if she doesn’t she and Bo will make Victor through her out on her boney ass. Viv resolves to figure out the rest of Carly’s secrets.

Dick commits alcohol abuse by spilling his drink since he’s so nervous about being found out. He thinks about leaving, but thinks about Hope and changes his mind.

Rafe bumps into Sami at the Pub. Sami tells him that Johnny has done nothing but talk about their trip to see Rafe at the office. Rafe tells her that she needs to watch out because all he did was take an office tour when he was Johnny’s age. Rafe admits that he misses the kids… and Sami. He asks her to stay and have a cup of coffee with him. Sami agrees because she has something to tell him – and Rafe gets a phone call and interrupts Sami to take it. She ultimately doesn’t tell Rafe because she doesn’t want to keep him from his work. (What is with these Brady women and Law Enforcement guys?) Rafe and Sami argue about how he keeps putting his work first… again a classic Brady woman complaint.

Nicole demands that EJ meet her at the pier. Nicole has additional demands for EJ and it’s not money. She wants use of Marco. Nicole sends Marco to see Baker.

EJ surprised Sami at the pier… so that they can fish together. Sami can’t get over EJ and his silly fish hat. EJ tells Sami that he wants to show her that he can adapt and live the life of a regular Joe. EJ tries desperately to get Sami to reel in her pole… to catch a passive European fish. Sami reels in her line to find a whopper… of a rock that is! EJ offers a heartfelt proposal to Sami…

Tuesday's eppy

Chloe interrupts Melanie/Phillip on their way to the bedroom because she’s looking for Daniel at Maggie’s. Melanie leaves to go and check on Bo, leaving Phillip & Chloe alone to talk about how Daniel thinks that she is postponing the wedding because she doesn’t love him enough. Chloe wonders if they can continue to keep this secret.


Carly/Daniel talk about Bo and why Daniel went to see Carly. Daniel tells that Carly that things are going to hell with Chloe and how she doesn’t want to marry him anymore. He begs Carly to tell him what she knows. Carly tells him that she knows that Chloe loves him and would do everything she can to keep him.

Rafe attempts to decode Nicole’s diary to figure out how it ties Nicole and EJ. While working, Arianna stops by to see Rafe and he tries to get her to leave – telling her that he’s working on classified FBI business. Arianna realizes that whatever Rafe is working on has to do with EJ Dim era. Arianna tells Rafe that she can form her own opinions about people. She tells Rafe that EJ was the only one who stood by her during her whole ordeal while she was in jail. She thinks that EJ is trying to turn himself around and she’s giving him the benefit of the doubt. After Ari leaves, Rafe manages to crack the code to the diary.

Brady goes to see Nicole, bringing her a “housewarming” gift. Nicole asks Brady if he meant what he said about having a fresh start with Nicole. Brady spots Nicole’s diary, and Nicole promptly freaks out when she sees it in Brady’s hands. She rips the diary out of his hands, much to his surprise. He wants to know why she’s all freaked out about him finding her diary. Brady offers to help Nicole find a better apartment, but she tells him no because her ship will be coming in since she plans to invest in her future. Brady asks Nicole is she’s planning on doing something illegal that has to do with EJ.

Kate and Stefano discuss Madeline’s death and how it will affect Chad and how her secrets died with her. Stefano rips up Madeline’s obituary, upsetting Kate because she feels badly about how Chad is feeling. Stefano forbids with Kate to have anything to do with Chad, saying that Kate needs to learn how the DiMera’s deal with their enemies – they do not cry, they do not coddle… they obliterate them.

Chad and Kate chat about Madeline. Chad shows up at the DiMansion and he tells her that he wants to thank her for reaching out to him after his mother’s death. Chad admits that he is still blaming himself for his mother’s death and thinks he will continue to do so until he understands some things from this mother’s death. He asks Kate about Madeline being a “working girl” along with Kate and wants to know if it is true. Kate tells Chad is that Madeline loved him and how all he should be thinking about is how she loved him and asks him to let everything go. Kate expressed her sympathies to Chad, who asks if they can talk again. He leaves the DiMansion just as Stefano is returning and wants to know why Chad was there. Kate lies and tells Steffie that he was there to see William.

Melanie pops over to the hospital to see how Bo is doing and runs into Carly. Melanie tells Carly that she just wants to her (Carly) to be happy and they share a warm mother/daughter moment.

Daniel heads home and Chloe returns shortly after. He downplays saving Bo’s life. Chloe tells Daniel how much she loves him and how waiting to marry has nothing to do with her love. She tells Daniel that she’s an emotional wreck because of the pregnancy and how she is thinking of Nicole and her miscarriage and there are all these reminders of everything that can go wrong. She tells him she hasn’t told anyone she’s pregnant because she’s scared. Daniel blames himself for feeling insecure and taking it out on Chloe. He buys it! Daniel promises that they can wait a month and makes her promise that Chloe will always tell him what she’s thinking. Daniel tells Chloe that there should be no more apologies. Daniel heads off to visit with Melanie.

Stefano and William have lunch to discuss the information he compiled for DiMera Enterprises. He offers will a part-time job during the school year. Will is starting to feel bad about not telling Sami about his internship. And Stefano tells him that keeping secrets made be a way of protecting people.

Daniel heads to Melanie for the father/daughter date, and he tells Melanie that he and Chloe talked and everything is ok. Daniel gives Melanie a pair of earrings in honor of her graduation.

Carly goes to see Chloe after her conversation with Daniel. Chloe tells Carly that she lied again to Daniel.

Carly tells Chloe that she arranged for the paternity test at St. Mary’s’ for the next day, which also happens to be where Daniel is assisting on a surgery.

Phillip sits in the park feeling guilty that Daniel bought another lie and imagines how Melanie will handle the news…



July 26th


Bo doesn’t remember the incident so Carly questions him about both what happened that night and what was so important that he pulled his breathing tube out. Bo and Roman were joking around about the whole incident… Carly freaks out and wants Bo & Roman to take things more seriously.

Phillip takes Melanie on a surprise picnic on the beach to celebrate getting her grades early. Melanie mentions that since she is in the accelerated program she may be able to help deliver her new brother or sister, which again freaks Phillip out. He quickly redirects the moment by giving Melanie a bracelet. The love birds stop by the pub where they bump into Adrienne. She mentions that she vouched for him since he was going to visit Daniel’s apartment.

Also at the pub, Will bumps into Chad and offers to leave. Will feels responsible for Madeline’s death since he was the one whole told Chad about his mother’s past. Chad mentions to Will that Madeline had started to talk about her secrets and that he’s now going to talk to Kate to see what she knows. Chad leaves a bouquet of roses at the steps of the pier… hopefully someone sees them so that they too don’t fall down those steps!

Again we find Stefano & Kate discussing Madeline’s death. Stefano is almost giddy at the fact that Madeline is gone, taking along all of their problems. Kate on the other hand doesn’t look so sure. Stefano asks Kate if there’s something that he should know about and she mentions that the safety deposit box was empty when Mr. Woods went to get Madeline’s will.

Adrienne drops by to visit Stephanie and discuss a conversation that she had with Stephanie’s father – that he’s planning to come back to Salem and pay a visit to Stephanie and Nathan. Stephanie worries that all her father will actually do is harass Nathan, but Adrienne tells her not to worry – she talked him out of it.

Someone please tell me when Victor became the stud muffin of Salem! Carolyn realizes that Victor knew about Bo’s incident and didn’t call her, and yet he was sitting with Maggie. Victor explains that it was Roman who didn’t want her called and Carolyn storms off at that news. Maggie sends Victor after Carolyn and once he finds her, he admits that yes, he should have called her.

DT Hope discovers that Bo has been attacked through Justin, so she rushes to the hospital, where she walks into Bo’s room to find Carly & Bo embracing. Abe has assigned her to the case, so she asks Carly if she can ask Bo a few questions. “So, where do we start?” Oh, Hope you are lucky that Bo can’t remember a damn thing! He realizes that he passed out at home, yet he can’t remember getting there, only that he was at the Kiriakis house at some point. Carly tells Bo & Hope that the reason why Bo can’t remember is due the fact that he was drugged with a large amount of sleeping pills, which can cause memory loss. Bo admits that he can see images, but can’t decipher what is real and what was all a dream. Bo then asks Hope if she’s told Ciara about his accident… and replies no, that she didn’t want to tell Ciara that she almost lost her daddy and that Hope almost lost him – I couldn’t imagine the world without you in it.

Sigh, anyone else have a bit of a difficult time staying interested in the show?

I’m not much of a SAFE fan, so her whole dream that Rafe comes to visit and she admits that she would leave EJ for Rafe if there was a chance for them was boring. Sure, it became somewhat interesting when Rafe actually DID show up so that he could tell Sami that he saw EJ and Nicole talking about keeping some sort of secret, but didn’t tell her what exactly they were talking about. I have to agree with Sami, I think that Rafe is a little jealous that she’s decided to make things work with EJ instead of being with him, although he made it pretty clear that he (Rafe) wasn’t overly interested in trying to make things work himself.

Speaking of Nicole and EJ, Nicole does finally lay out the terms of her demands. Arianna is found innocent and she forgets that Nicole ever had anything to do with Arianna taking the fall. In return, Nicole will never mention that EJ ever confessed to having Sydney kidnapped. Something tells me that it’s not going to be that easy for EJ!

Chloe goes to see Carly at the hospital because she was looking for Daniel, who stormed out when she said she wouldn’t marry him “right now”. Boring! How often are they going to have this talk?! Chloe mentioned that Daniel bumped into Father Matt, who told Daniel that there is no problem with Chloe’s annulment. Shockingly, Carly asks Chloe what she can do to help her. Seriously? Why not just tell Daniel the truth then be done with it?!

Chloe then goes to see Father Matt and thanks him for keeping her secret from Daniel. She then drops the bombshell that she’s pregnant and Father Matt quickly catches on that she has NO clue who the Daddy was. He asks Chloe if the reason that she didn’t want to marry Daniel because she didn’t want to enter the marriage not knowing who the Daddy was. Ha?! Chloe be a good person?! Uh, no. She informs Father Matt that she promised that Carly that she wouldn’t marry Daniel until she knew that who the baby’s father was. Father Matt doesn’t know what to say (But I do!) other than that he’ll pray for her.

Nicole goes to see Dick so that she can tell him that they are now officially off the hook for framing Arianna because she blackmailed EJ. It’s then that she realizes that Dick may have begun to develop some sort of feelings for his “mystery partner”, although since he was apparently on the phone calling Roman in order to save Bo’s life, I think it was more that his conscience was getting to him.

EJ arrives home and Sami questions him about his whereabouts. Again, he tells her that he was off meeting with someone in regards to Arianna’s case, and although it’s not exactly a lie, it’s not the whole truth either. Sami wonders why he was gone so long if he was only meeting someone to get information that he already had. So, amazingly, he admits that he bumped into Nicole and that she claimed that she wanted to make things right between the two of them. EJ tells Sami that he went along with Nicole only because he wanted to see what she was up to. Sami ends up telling EJ that she trusts him and that Marlena is going to be selling the townhouse. EJ asks Sami where she plans to live and she happily tells him that she wants everyone to live together at the mansion.

Oh, Hope, if you really wanted to kill Bo? Why did you hesitate?! Daniel shows up at the house, looking for Carly and instead found an unconscious Bo. Hope has snuck into the kitchen and watches as Daniel performs CPR on Bo. She pulls out the gun, figuring that she’ll still finish the job, but again hesitates. I’m thinking that there is a bit more of DT Hope left in there than NT Hope realizes. The hesitation was long enough for Hope to hear the sirens and realize that help was on the way for Bo… and she also realizes HOW anyone found out that help was needed.

A furious Hope demands to know why Dick called Roman. Dick tells Hope that he was trying to stop Hope from herself. She didn’t seem to really appreciate that statement and claims that she thought that he was the only person on her side. He explains that he is on her side, but he wasn’t going to let her go to jail just so that she could get revenge on her EX. Well, that and the fact that he helped her with some of the muggings… Hope loses it and blames Dick for her plan falling apart and leaves Dick alone to go and finish what she started.

Bo is rushed to the hospital and things aren’t looking good. Daniel realizes that it’s a drug overdose and Carly tells him that Bo didn’t use drugs. Roman then realizes that based on all the rest of the evidence present, Bo likely didn’t do this to himself. Bo continues to decline and Carly begs Daniel to save him. Can someone tell me why after Daniel finally got Bo stabilized that everyone leaves him alone?! It was the perfect opportunity for Hope to sneak into Bo’s room. So, will she hesitate again or will she finally finish the job?

The Diva interviews Thaao Penghlis!

The Diva will interview Emmy nominated lead actor nominee of 2008, Thaao Penghlis on Tuesday, July 27, at 10 pm est for an hour on her blogtalkradio show.  Thaao portrayed Tony and his lookalike cousin, Andre DiMera on Days of Our Lives off and on since 1981.  Thaao also appeared on General Hospital and Santa Barbara.  His prime time credits includes the lead role of master of disguise Nicholas Black on the remake of Mission: Impossible.  Besides television, Thaao appeared in the Oscar winning movie, "Altered States" as well as "The Bell Jar" and "Les Patterson Saves the World."

Thaao is well known for his love of archeology and travel.  Thaao has recently returned from his trip to Rome and Egypt.

“Hell Hath NO Fury”

It's a two-fer night, kids! Enjoy!

Again, props to KA & PR for today’s eppy! Great acting – I love their chemistry.


Oh, Bo… it was sweet of you to offer to end things with Carly and have Hope and Ciara move home, especially after Hope mentions how she wishes that you had fought harder for your marriage. Again, for a brief moment I thought that Hope might come to her daytime senses – especially when she tried to take the coffee cup back, but you had to go eff it up by telling her that you weren’t really sure that ending things with Carly is the real answer AND reminded her that it was HOPE that moved out of the house, leaving you alone. If that was your way of getting her to come back and fight for the marriage, you were way off! All you did was succeed in enraging her again. Hope explains to Bo that he’s right, this isn’t Carly’s fault -it’s his and she’s going to get her revenge. Bo collapses into a semi unconscious sleeping state and Hope takes her leave to get the last of the remaining items from Dr. Dick. At one point, we watch Bo wake up and stumble to his feet, only to land flat on his back on the floor. THAT certainly can’t be a good sign.

Hope makes her way back to Dr. Dick’s and like a good boy, he’s purchased the last remaining things from her list. If he’s so hell bent on her NOT killing Bo, I’m not sure why he went out and got them. Again, he tries and talks her out of whatever she had planned and when she won’t change her mind, he refuses to help. Hope is not thwarted, and she leaves to finish the job herself.

Hope makes it back to Bo’s and proceeds to drown the living room in gasoline. Well, I assume it’s supposed to be gas – although it looks a lot like plain water to me! C’mon prop people; couldn’t you have been a little more creative here? We leave Bo & Hope with Hope lighting a match and contemplating what to set fire to first… the house or Bo.

Anyone else feel like Sami & Rafe sounded like a broken record? Sami went to see Rafe to drop of his mail and drop the bomb that she’s moving into the DiMera mansion full time. Rafe is less than amused with the news and questions Sami about her decision. She says she’s doing it for her family; she wants the kids to be happy and have both of their parents around. She feels that because EJ has admitted to having feelings for her, she should at least give him another chance. Rafe wants to know if Sami will really be happy with the decision… and continued to question Sami about her decision each time they appeared on the screen. Seriously? Were the writers half asleep when this script was written?

Nicole pops over to see Brady to see if he still has feelings for Arianna. Duh, Nicole, they broke up like 2 days ago and you want him to turn off his feelings? He gave her a big, ugly ring and planned to marry her – you can’t just turn those feelings off. Or can you? Seeing as how Brady admitted that he LET Nicole kiss him and that he thought it was pretty good. Brady informs Nicole that he still plans to work on Arianna’s case, and she freaks! She takes it as a sign that there may still be hope for him and Arianna and attempts to run out. Brady stops her and tells her that they should just take it one step at a time.

Arianna pops by the DiMasion to chat with EJ about her case. She starts out by firing him because she doesn’t want to be a burden or a distraction since he’s obviously has something else going on. And his potentially leaving Salem also distressed her a bit. In the end, since he’s going to stay around he's going to stay on as her lawyer. Their conversation is interrupted by Johnny (who is one cute kid!), who wants some quality time with his Dad – which he doesn’t get because EJ wanders out to meet Nicole.

So, apparently Nicole has decided that she’s going to blackmail EJ until the end of time… or at least until EJ gets something new on Nicole, whichever comes first! I have to say that I did enjoy their spat a bit… James Scott is pretty good with the anger. (Not as good as Thaao, mind you...) Now Nicole WANTS EJ to prove Arianna’s innocence. I’m a bit curious as to how he plans to do that at this point. Guess we’ll just have to see how this one plays out.

Yep, Tuesday's review is late... but at least it's here!

First things first – Regardless of whether you are rooting for Bope or Carbo, props should be given to both KA & PR for today’s episode! These two totally acted their butts off. I don’t think that I’ve been this drawn into an episode in a long time. I couldn’t wait to see what happened next.


Bo shows genuine concern for Hope and tells her that he wants to be there for her because regardless of whether or not they are together, he still loves her and they’ll always have a connection, especially because of the children. For a brief moment, I honestly thought that DT Hope might actually break free and change the mind of NT Hope and forget about this whole silly, killing Bo thing. Yeah, that didn’t last long. NT Hope berates Bo, saying that she can no longer play the jilted wife and watch Carly run around town as though she’s won the lottery! Damn. So much for a Bope reunion today, eh? No, I really didn’t expect one, not when we have so much more drama to cover! Hope asks Bo to make some coffee and he agrees. Unfortunately (or I guess fortunately – depending on how you look at it) Bo, gets distracted by a phone call with Roman. Hope offers to make the coffee while he’s on the phone… making it just the way he likes it… deadly.

As we learned late in Monday’s eppy, Madeline did not survive her injuries from the fall at the pier. DA Woods is quick to accuse Chad of killing his mother by pushing her down the steps. Seriously, I understand that he’s hurting and what not… but accusing your son of killing his own mother is a bit low. Keep it up buddy and you might just find yourself tumbling down the flight of stairs at the pier. .. Especially when your whole conversation is overheard by Kate & Stefano – who is almost over-come with emotion when he remembers how he told Tony that he (Tony) was dead to him (Stefano) and in just a few short hours, he was! Kate and Stefano attempt to reach out to Chad (foreshadowing much?) and console him, but he wants no parts of it.

Oh, Chloe… am I going to have to listen to you tell Daniel how much you love him, but don’t want to marry him for the next month?! Now your excuse is that Father Matt thinks you are a bad person… Uh, do we really need to go there? I have to admit that I thought this whole thing was going to be over when a hysterical Chloe offered her phone to Daniel to call Father Matt to find out the reason why he wouldn’t marry them. Sadly, Daniel took Chloe’s side and didn’t call.

Again, I was a bit bored by Phillip & Melanie… Melanie needed a midnight snack… or Days needed an excuse to use the Hershey’s Bliss at some point in the show. They have this cute little conversation about being honest and how great it was to overcome all their problems and get married and have such a strong love, that they’ll be able to get through anything! Melanie can’t imagine ANYTHING that could go wrong at this point, but Phillip’s face says it all. His solution? He carries her off to bed! Later on, Melanie needs another snack, so she heads back down to the kitchen – in Phillip’s shirt. Nathan walks into the house and hilarity ensues when he realizes that Melanie is dressed only in Phillip’s shirt. Phillip walks into the kitchen and my amusement continues as I watch this very awkward conversation take place between the three of them. Nathan leaves and the two love birds head back to bed.

Speaking of Nathan, I’m thinking that he might have 2nd thoughts about moving in with Stephanie, although he attempted to put all of it on her. He’s concerned that it’s not something that she really wants and he was forcing the idea on her. Nope, she loves him and wants to wake up next to him and all that lovey-dovey stuff. Wonder how long as this bliss will last for them?

DOOL Fires Lindsay Hartley

According to SOD Days of our Lives has fired Lindsay Hartley the actress who portrays Arianna Hernandez. They use the nice term *let go* but let's face it she was fired. I guess Arianna will be left rotting in jail. Now how do we get rid of the rest of the Hernandez family? The Diva really sees no need for any of them.

July 19th's eppy

Guess who finally got around to watching the show?! Yep. You guessed it.

Daniel/Chloe:


So, Chloe and Daniel are discussing baby names already, eh? Clytemnestra for a girl and Ichabod for a boy. Seriously? Guess we need not worry about another boringly named kid – no Jennifer’s or Johnny’s here! Daniel, still obviously awash in his own pregnancy glow, seems to almost miss Chloe’s statement about having to tell Victor that she’s pregnant with his son’s child. Ooops! Chloe quickly backtracks to cover her mistake. Chloe, you almost let the cat out of the bag! Daniel happens to bump into Father Matt while picking up dinner at the Pub and asks about the annulment issue. Father Matt informs Daniel that there is no problem with the annulment and that he really should ask Chloe what the real issue is. Daniel does confront Chloe about his conversation with Father Matt… and again Chloe puts on an act and starts to lie her way out of it – ‘We just don’t see eye to eye anymore’. Yeah, Father Matt no longer wants to marry you because you’re a cheater and you think he should mind his own business and at the same time tell Carly to mind hers!

Hope/Dr. Dick:

Awww… looks like someone has a crush! Dick uses his newly revealed feelings for Hope to try to talk her out of killing Bo. However, doesn’t look like it was successful after her speech about it being “written in the stars”. Dick suggests that instead of killing Bo, he’ll help Hope to drug Bo, take off his cash and then they can run away together. Hope claims she’ll take the idea into consideration…although it’s a safe bet that NT Hope isn’t going to let anything stop her in this mission.

In the meantime, Bo tries to have a brotherly chat with Roman to discuss his thoughts about Hope’s sanity. All Roman does is question Bo’s thinking. Nice! It must have stirred up something in Bo because he rushed himself over to the Kiriakis’ mansion only to discover that A)Ciara is still awake and B) That Hope is nowhere to be found. Ok, so who’s watching the children?!

Stefano/Kate:

Stefano is annoyed by the fact that Kate called Madeline to warn her about Kate’s conversation with Chad and didn’t tell him. Kate is annoyed that Stefano is annoyed… and so she promises to not with hold any information – even if he’s on his death bed. Careful there, Stef… you might just annoy Kate into doing a little baking! Stefano however doesn’t know about Madeline’s “incident” down at the pier… so there may not be too much for him to worry about after all.

Chad/Madeline:

So, we get to watch Madeline’s fall again today. They really should post some sort of warning sign near those steps on the pier… they’re becoming really dangerous! I kinda feel a bit bad for Chad because he’s stuck between a rock and a hard place now that Madeline didn’t make it. Does he want to soil his mother’s memory by telling his father that she used to be a call girl? I’m curious to see how this all plays out.

Stephanie/Nathan/Melanie/Phillip:

So, these youngin's all really bored me today. Melanie wants to plan a baby shower for Chloe and obviously, Phillip is against. I wonder if Melanie will ever catch on to the fact that Phillip wants her to have nothing to do with anything related to Chloe & Daniel. Melanie heads back down to the beach to collect the rest of the picnic items where she bumps into Stephanie & Nathan, who are about to partake in a little “Sex on the Beach”. It was Stephanie’s idea of a “gift” to Nathan in return for her bracelet… that according Nathan fit her just perfectly. Really? Looked like she could have worn it around her neck! Stephanie mentions that she needs a roommate… and in typical soap fashion, Nathan has a story about how he’ll need a place to live, so why not him?

How not to manage your money

No, the Diva is not giving out financial advice.  But I would like to tell you a story about a certain soap opera who fired five of their biggest stars over money.  Yes, times are tough especially when your show is on a dingbat network such as NBC run by the morons who put mercury into light bulbs and advertising them as being "green." 

But that is not the end of the story.  Were you under the impression that every actor on Days of Our Lives took a massive pay cut?  Somehow the financial geniuses at DOOL did not cut three veteran actors' paychecks.  So, we have five actors fired for too high of a pay without giving any of them a chance to even accept a smaller paycheck, yet the show kept three actors who did not take a cut in pay.  Huh? How in the world does that make any sense?  Call me crazy, but wouldn't it make more sense to keep the actors who were willing to work for less than the ones demanding their full pay?  And what about the actors who are currently being paid less now?  They took a cut to keep their jobs, in some cases, a massive cut, but these three are getting paid more than them and did not take a cut.

*rolls eyes*

Charles Shaughnessy news!

He's appearing on the second season of the web soap, "The Bay" created by Diva blogtalkradio guest Gregori Martin, and starring Diva guests Mary Beth Evans and Martha Madison.
