Mini-Matt Ashford interview about Mamma Mia

Here it is.

3/30/10 review - Business as Usual

Rafe/Sami/EJ – Sami moons after Rafe as usual. EJ works on Sami to make her break-up with Rafe as usual. Sydney looks cute as usual.
ROMAN SIGHTING!

Arianna/Brady/Nicole/What’s Her Name – Arianna and Nicole verbally spar over Brady as usual. The Jan Spears Knock-off teenager annoys me as usual.

Daniel/Carly/Melanie – Daniel slips and hurts his head...DOH!  Melanie throws a tantrum as usual. Carly plays the martyr as usual.

Victor/Chloe – Victor was actually halfway decent to Chloe today – not all that usual actually.

Perhaps the Sami/Nicole confrontation will not be so…business as usual.

3/25/10 review - Recession Wedding Dress Special

Share

Arianna/Brady/Nicole - I know the DAYS budget is tight, but does Arianna really have to get married in a slip?  And a fugly one at that!  Nicole goes to Santo Domingo to get her man.  Arianna's pearl necklace breaks, spurring on an ominous warning from a Dollar Store Celeste clone.  When Arianna sees Nicole and Brady in the same orbit, she freaks and threatens to call off the wedding.

Abe/Rafe/Sami/EJ/Anna/The Gov - Now that everyone knows that Anna blackmailed the governor, Rafe is wondering how Nicole blackmailed Anna to blackmail the governor.  EJ meanwhile tries to outmanuever the situation to avoid being caught while trying to get Sami's sympathy by expressing false guilt for Anna's involvement.  I loved the exchange between EJ and the Governor.  EJ - "You're a corrupt parasite!"  The Gov. - "Who else goes into politics?"

Hope/Justin/Adrienne - More Judi Evans, more Judi Evans!!!  Adrienne is a shot of Viagra for Justin, as it seems that he's finally found his balls.  I take back what I said yesterday about the wardrobe department though.  His shirt and tie were hideous!  Justin tells Hope he's in love with her and Adrienne overhears.  Adrienne and Hope have a little "girl talk" which actually was fairly civil.  Hope convinces Adrienne that she's not over Justin; Adrienne convinces Hope that she's not over Bo but needs to move on.  I hope that we'll see more Justin/Adrienne scenes; and I'd kind of like to know what the hell happened to their marriage in the first place.  I don't really want the Hope/Justin/Adrienne thing to be completely resolved though.  It was nice to see Hope do something else besides cry over Bo for five seconds.

Bo/Carly/Vivian/Victor - Bo warns Vivian on the pier (where else?) that he will kill her if she doesn't leave Carly alone. Later, after Bo helps himself to more of Carly's Omnipotent Hoo-Hah, he admits that he wasn't going to really kill Vivian; but that Vivian would run to Victor who would convince Vivian to leave Carly alone out of his fatherly concern for Bo. I wonder if Bo would be so smug about his cunning little plan if he realized that he had just lit spark to the biggest Match Made in Hell since Stefano and Kate. Yay, VICTIAN or is it VIVTOR? Hopefully, Vivian will pick out a better wedding dress than Arianna's Recession Wedding Dress Special.

Cast Memorial for Frances Reid

Ali Sweeney described the off-screen private memorial for DAYS crew and cast on Facebook:

"A million emotions at Frances Reid's memorial tonight. She was a strong, proud, fabulously talented actress. We will all miss her. Suzanne reminded us of how intimidated we were to meet her because of her experience and wisdom, Deidre had us laughing hysterically at Frances' quirks and forthright manner. Bill Hayes charmed us with stories of their past, and Susan Seaforth Hayes made us laugh, cry and remember how lucky we all were to have known her.

The montage her family assembled was beautiful, and a touching look into her personal history that many didn't ever get to see. And then there was a fun, gorgeous clip reel of some past scenes with MacDonald Carey that had us all swooning with how incredibly talented they were, and of course, funny with all the out-takes that went along with it.

Getting to see Missy Reeves, Peter, Kristian, Deidre, Wayne, Jason Cook, Matt Ashford, Christie Clark, Bryan, (me!), so many of us from so many years ago ... I don't know how to put it into words how I felt. I just have to share how lucky and blessed I feel to be part of Days of our Lives."

Maree and Roark clip

A clip with both of our future guests, Maree Cheatham and Roark Critchlow.  They have dialogue 8 minutes into the clip.

Diva Interview with Roark Critchlow

We have a tentative interview with Roark Critchlow (Mike Horton, DAYS; Paul Kendrick, V) in the works where he'll be speaking about Frances Reid, V and DAYS.  Roark will be returning to DAYS as part of the Frances Reid tribute.  The exact date and time of the interview is TBA; check the blog and/or Diva on Facebook for the interview time if you would like to call in during the live show.

3/24/10 review - The Schmuck and the Governor

Did DAYS get a new hair/makeup/wardrobe department? Ali, Ari and Crystal looked especially good today.

Rafe/Sami/EJ and the Gov – OK. Maybe I want a little too much reality in my soaps, but even in a small town, can any old schmuck from the FBI just go to the Governor’s hotel room and strong arm him into doing what he wants? Don’t governors usually have security people around? Then EJ was able to go and do the same thing. Stupid.

I’m torn about Stuart Damon. Most of the time, I enjoy him when he’s on the screen; and hey, a good soap actor’s a good soap actor. But I threw up in my mouth a little when Anna and the Gov talked in yesterday’s eppy about playing with the handcuffs. Tony and Anna were freakin’ soulmates and we didn’t even get a wedding; yet now, we have to imagine Anna and the Gov playing bondage games? WTF! No, I’m so annoyed I’ll say it the right way. WHAT…THE…FUCK?!

EJ tells Sami that she should look at life more positively. She could have a hot Brit in her bed now instead of Robo-Cop. Speaking of SuperRafe, he showed up to inform Sami and EJ that the Governor had pardoned Nicole. Freakout Time.

Nicole/Anna – The Blondes from the Big House are “snakes on the plane.” Anna relished her freedom, not knowing that the combination of Victor, Rafe, EJ and the Governor led to them all actually getting…a clue! Nicole dreams of being reunited with Brady.

Brady/Arianna – The couple flash their spraytanned cut bodies and plan to elope.

Carly/Bo/Victor/Vivian – Vivian made more monotonous threats at Carly, apparently attempting to bore her so badly that she’s ready to crawl back into the coffin and be buried alive again. Bo told Victor that he would kill Vivian if Victor didn’t stop her. Oh, come on! Really? Carly must really be the owner of the brainwashing hoo-hah if Bo’s going to become a murderer over her! Victor offered Vivian marriage if she’d give up her revenge. Vivian’s in a love triangle between Marriage to Victor and Revenge on Carly. Carly didn’t actually do much of anything.

Stephanie/Nathan/Melanie – Melanie tells Nathan the letter meant nothing; because God forbid that the DAYS Brass doesn’t continue in their mission to bore us with this brain-numbing quad for the rest of all eternity.

Justin and Adrienne clip

With Judi Evans returning and looking fantabulous as Adrienne Kiriakis, here is a small little music video of Justin and Adrienne's romance, part of the "Welcome Back, Judi Evans" series.

Blogtalkradio episode 16 this weekend!

Join us this Saturday at 11 pm est on our blogtalkradio show to discuss all the crazy stuff that went down the past two weeks.

Maree Cheatham and John Aniston clip

ShareCome listen to our interview with Maree on Sunday, March 28th at 7:00 EST. Here is a clip of Maree when she played Stephanie on SFT in a scene with John Aniston (Victor Kiriakis, DAYS) who has a very Southern accent in this clip. It's a hoot!

Tuesday, March 23, 2010

This is a big fucking deal

No, not the health care law, Adrienne's back! And she's looking fierce!

Anna/Governor Ford. Anna's kinky. lol Anna stages some compromising photos of the Governor to get him to pardon Nicole. Eventually, he gives in. To show what a good sport he is, the Governinator and Anna test out some of the toys. Thank God it was off-screen! These scenes were hilarious. Excellent acting by Stuart Damon and Leann Hunley. Then Rafe shows up after Anna leaves to ruin it all. Funny how good scenes come to a screeching halt when Rafe shows up.

Nicole/Rafe/Lois. Nicole decides to turn Anna in to Rafe. After some monotonous dialogue, Gov. Ford calls to give Nicole the good news. Nicole and Lois the guard do a hilarious high five celebration. Rafe's stunned. I have to give credit to the casting director for selecting great actors for these minor roles. Lois was hilarious, same with Stuart Damon. Can we keep them? Doesn't any of tptb see that scenes come to a halt with Rafe in them? He's dragging the show down. He's like that guy at the party trying to get everyone to behave. zzzzzzzzzzzzzz

Hope/Justin/Adrienne. Justin gives Hope a coffee. Hope rips his heart out and spits on it. Justin goes back to the K-Mansion. Adrienne is waiting for him. Wow. Judi Evans looks amazing! Love the new look. No more brunette for you! You can feel the chemistry between Justin and Adrienne the second they look at each other. Adrienne is there because Hope told her that Justin is in trouble. Justin insists he's not in trouble. Hope the matchmaker shows up. Adrienne is pissed off with Hope. She thinks that Hope set her up to be humiliated. Adrienne leaves.

Why were the Adrienne/Justin scenes so short? We haven't had them both onscreen in several years. Why can't their fans enjoy them for more than 30 seconds?

Stephanie/Nathan/Philip/Mel/Maggie. Mel fires the nurse that Phil hired. Phil leaves. Maggie tells Mel to tell Nathan how she feels. Nathan dumps Stephanie at the hospital. Stephanie plants the idea with Phil that Nathan wants Mel. Mel still doesn't disclose the contents of the letter to Nathan. blah blah blah

Very funny episode over all. Too bad Rafe and the 20something quad sucked the fun out of it. Justin and Adrienne's reunion was way too short. How about some flashbacks of these two? Use those Greek wedding clips to a good use. The scenes with Anna/Governor Ford and Nicole/Lois the guard were priceless.

Ricardo

Share
The Diva still thinks he's a hottie.

Nestor Carbonell wasn't hot on "Suddenly Susan." Probably because that show sucked balls. But hey, we got Kathy Griffin because of it, so it wasn't a total waste.

Anyway, back to Ricardo. It was a decent episode. Too much background with Richard, and not enough current action. Richard is of Spanish speaking descent. I didn't catch where he was from. Richard rides a horse, which was hot, to save his wife from tuberculosis. He accidentally kills the doctor who refused to give medicine to save Richard's wife. Richard's wife was already dead when he made it back. Before she died, she gave him her cross.

Richard is put into jail. A crooked priest tells Richard he is beyond redemption. The priest sells Richard to a slave ship, the Black Rock. The Black Rock hits the Jacob-created storm and crashes through the statue. There were quite a few survivors. The captain slays all the slaves except for Richard because of Smokey killing the captain first. Richard is still chained to the boat. Smokey returns disguised as Richard's wife, Isabella. "Isabella" tells Richard that he is dead, and they are in Hell. Then Richard sees the smoke monster take his wife. When Richard sees the smoke monster for the first time face to face, that's when it became obvious to me that the "eyeliner" look is on Richard. He didn't appear to have that look before.

Smokey returns as the Man in Black agreeing to free Richard if Richard agrees to do something for him. Smokey wants Richard to kill "the devil" Jacob. Smokey said something interesting that Jacob "took his body". I wonder what that means? Smokey uses the same dialogue that Dogen used on Sayid to kill nuLocke. They didn't work this time either. lol Jacob kicks Richard's ass. Richard insists that he is dead and in Hell. Jacob drowns him into reality. Jacob admits to bringing the boat to the island. He also admits that everyone he brings to the island has thus far died.

Jacob explains that the island is like a cork on a wine bottle. The cork prevents the wine from coming out. He says the wine is Smokey. Richard asks why Jacob doesn't get directly involved in the people he brings to the island. Jacob doesn't really answer, he just doesn't want to get involved in that way. He wants the people to make their own moral choices. He also says their pasts don't matter on the island. Richard points out that Smokey gets involved and manipulates them. Jacob concedes that point and asks Richard to be his intermediary. Richard wants something in return. He asks for his wife back. Jacob said he can't do that. I can't remember what else he asks for. Then Richard asks for eternal life, which Jacob gives him with a touch. I don't get how Jacob can grant that wish but not the others. Oh, and rude Jacob does not let Richard into his lair. lol You must be invited by Jacob which is odd since Ben and nuLocke had no problems getting in.

Richard goes back to Smokey. Smokey's bummed that Jacob is still alive. Smokey gives Richard his cross. He tells Richard he can always reconsider. Richard buries it. Later we see Jacob and Smokey. Smokey wants to leave. Jacob isn't happy that Smokey tried to have him killed. Jacob said he can't leave unless Jacob is dead. Smokey tells him that's why he wants Jacob dead. We see the significance of the white rock that Smokey threw to the water with Sawyer at the cave. Jacob gave the rock to Richard to give to Smokey. Basically it's a reminder that Jacob is what balances out Smokey on the island. This also shows too that the cave was Smokey's lair and not Jacob's since Smokey was in possession of the rock.

Back in real time, Ilana flashes back to Jacob healing her. He tells her that only 6 candidates are left for her to protect. He tells her to go to Richard for guidance. Sun tells Jack that she, Hurley and Jack are candidates to replace Jacob. Ilana doesn't know what to do. Richard goes nuts, tells them all that they are all dead and the island is fake. He runs to go to nuLocke. We find out later that Hurley is talking to Isabella. He runs off after Richard. Jack is stunned to finally find out that Locke is dead, but is among the living still. Ben talks Ilana out of going after Richard. Ben says he's known Richard since he was 12. Lapidus says, "since you were kids." Ben said he was a kid. lol But Richard was the same. Lapidus learns that Richard is ageless. Thank goodness for Lapidus. He just rolls with the punches. lol

Richard digs up his wife's cross. He yells that he wants to reconsider, and join Smokey. Hurley shows up. Hurley sees and hears Isabella. Isabella tells Richard that she is already with him. After some touchy feely moments, Hurley tells Richard that Isabella wants him to kill the Man in Black. The Man in Black hears the whole thing. Uh oh.

If this wasn't the last season, I would have really enjoyed this episode. But with only a few episodes left, the action hasn't moved along at all tonight. We're still waiting for Armaggedon.

Shane Rides Again!

Charles Shaughnessy Twittered:

"Bo Brady can make a bumbling ass out of himself"

Viv he has been way ahead of you on that one!

Bo/Carly/Daniel   So Carly has Bo and Daniel fighting over who is going to be better at protecting her. Ahh my money  is on Daniel. Like Bo's haircut and that is about all I like about Bo at this point anymore. Heck even Vivian made him look pathetic today. No too keen on her haircut though. Viv what were you thinking?

Rafe/Sami/Brady/Arianna  They are all in the Brady Pub to celebrate Brady and Arianna's engagement. Sami wants Rafe to help her get a job at the FBI! Right Sami with your record? Rafe even tells her that. Anyway Sami and Rafe are fighting and ruining the celebration. Rafe gets his digs in when Sami says she is good at keeping secrets and he says yeah he knows that for sure. Sami gets pissed of course and starts her whining. The real reason Rafe doesn't want her working with him. Sami goes home and bonds with Ej and Sydney.

EJ/Lexie/Theo  Lexie overhears Theo say that EJ had Sydney the whole time. EJ brushes it off and said Theo is confused. Lexie thinks Theo heard it at the DiMansion and that Stefano may be involved. Hmm she never even considers that EJ would do this??

Nicole/Anna/ Gov Ford   Anna has no luck with the Gov. (Thank God for that) and then dreams of going to tell EJ and EJ's goon shooting her. She then dreams EJ finds her leaving town and shoots her himself. She calls Nicole and tells her she didn't get the pardon. Nicole threatens and Anna says she has one more idea. Anna drugs the Gov's drink at the hotel. Nicole calls Rafe.

Mia/Will/Gabby ZZZZZ. Mia is trying to be a bitch and is failing miserably. Will breaks up with Mia again and finds Rafe in the gym taking out his frustrations on a punching bag and says what did mom do now. Kudos to Will on that one.

FancyFace Picks - 3/15 to 3/19

WINNERS OF THE WEEK: Stefano and Kate are such great spouses and partners in crime. Stefano threatens to kill off Vivian for Kate. Kate manipulates Will so that Stefano can see Sydney against the baby‘s parents‘ wishes. Give and take. That’s what it’s about.

LOSER OF THE WEEK: Vivian Alamain’s plans are all foiled again as Carly gets off scot-free for shooting Melanie. Now she is reduced to constantly shoveling out meaningless circular dialogue to Carly on the pier over and over. We don’t need another villain or villainess on the show that has no teeth. Louise Sorel is divine, but Vivian has seriously lost her mojo.

PERFORMERS OF THE WEEK: A tie with Ari Zuker and Leann Hunley. These two rocked it all week long. Good comic timing and acting chemistry, along with fun dialogue.

SCENE OF THE WEEK: Nicole blackmails Anna into helping her get out of jail. Not only do I enjoy the acting, but I like how the characters are evolving. Nicole is getting her spunkiness and grit back in jail, qualities sorely lacking throughout the tail end of the Sydney story before she left. Anna has a story now outside of EJ and Sydney’s orbit, once again showing off Leann Hunley’s talent to advantage. More, more, more!

3/19/2010 review - Out of the Mouths of Babes

EJ/Lexie/Theo - Lexie tries to get EJ to admit that he still has the hots for Sami. Theo reveals to EJ that he knows that Sydney was never really gone. Uh…oh…

Rafe/Sami/Brady - With the latest eppy of “Gangster Knows Best“, Sami wants a job at the FBI office, but even clueless Rafe realizes that a little bit of Sami goes a long way and too much of Sami can make you want to jump out the window. Brady doesn’t like EJ hanging around Sami and Sydney.

Nicole/Chloe - Nicole tries to call Brady but chickens out. She then sits through yet another Chloe whinefest session.

Anna/Victor/Governor Ford - Victor hates Anna because she’s a big bad Dimera, even if only by marriage. Anna tries to get the Governor to free Nicole, saying she’d do anything to free her, and then lays a big wet one on him. Tony, wherever you’re hiding out and faking your death, we need you back in Salem…NOW!

Rafe/Arianna - Arianna tells Rafe that she’s engaged. Bathroom break.

Carly/Vivian/Daniel - Meh. Carly threatens Vivian. Vivian threatens Carly. Dan does his best Bo Brady impersonation as he comes to the pier to save the day.

Hit Series Will Celebrate Its 45th Anniversary in November

UNIVERSAL CITY, Calif. - March 19, 2010 - NBC has picked up hit daytime drama "Days of our Lives" for its 45th season, keeping the long-running show on the network through the 2010-11 television season, it was announced today by Marc Graboff, Chairman, NBC Entertainment and Universal Media Studios.

Bruce Evans, Senior Vice President, Drama Programming, NBC Entertainment, added, "The producers, cast and crew have worked tirelessly to make 'Days' the ratings success it is today. Today's renewal is a true testament to all of their hard work. We could not be more delighted for them and for the multiple generations of fiercely loyal 'Days of our Lives' fans."

"Days" is also delivering year-to-year gains among women 18-49 and women 25-54.

In its 44-plus years, "Days of our Lives" has garnered numerous Emmy Awards and nominations, as well as multiple Soap Opera Digest and People's Choice Awards. "Days of our Lives" is set in the fictitious Midwestern town of Salem. 3/18/10 review - Aunt Flo in Salem

PMS? Menopause? Hormonal chaos was going on today big time as all the women of Salem seemed to go from one snipe session to another. As seen in the picture above, Melanie the Serial Scene Killer was suffering so much that she could barely restrain herself from going on another spree.

Carly/Melanie/Maggie - Even though Melanie saved Carly from going to jail, she lashes out at Mommy Manning for giving her away to a psycho. After their exchange, Carly goes to the hospital to get sniped at by Chloe; meanwhile, Melanie goes on a crying jag with Maggie – since a long lost mom from decades ago is so much more important than myasthenia gravis.

Vivian/Kate – Vivian gloats about Carly’s butt being thrown in jail before Kate gleefully gives her a clue at the Java CafĂ©. Kate then meets Carly at the pier (Why is Carly always hanging out on the pier? Is DAYS really that bereft of sets? I guess the short answer is yes.), warning her that Vivian is their common enemy. A scene later, Vivian confronts Carly, angry that she’s not in jail.

Chloe – Donning a bright green turtleneck, Chloe obviously forgot that St. Patrick’s Day was yesterday. Bathroom break time as she stands around, sulking with Dan and Philip, saying no dialogue of any significance.

Anna/Nicole – The “Babes in the Big House” continue their talk. Nicole blackmails Anna into “busting her out of the joint”. She instructs Anna to “dry those tears and start working that mojo, honey” on Governor Jim Ford (Stuart Damon). Sounds like good stuff is ahead with the fundraiser. I know I’m a fan girl of both Ari and Leann, but seriously these two have been rocking it all week. Love it, love it, love it!

Victor – Seems to be on the rag himself, being all bitchy with Vivian and Anna today. Oh, wait, he’s always like that!

Daniel/Philip – Desperately searching for Midol tablets to distribute to the Hormonally Challenged Women of Salem.

Charles Shaughnessy Confirm on Facebook

Another confirm on Facebook.  This time from Charles Shaughnessy.

"Shane is riding back into Dodge, uh, I mean Salem! I start taping a ten show "arc" as Shane Donovan on DOOL next week. I don't have any details, but I gather it will start to air in May. I am very excited to see some of my old mates and pick up where I last left off. I think part of the story is to pay our respects to Alice Horton, which will be a nice opportunity to pay my respects to the wonderful Frances Reid: not only a fine actress, but a feisty and fun brother/sister in arms. Like me, Frances could not resist a good and noble fight. She was certainly "one of the good guys" and will be sorely missed.

What with this and a couple of indie movies that I am shooting this month, plus a return to Jeopardy in April, it is getting to be a busy month - thank goodness."

Official Melissa Reeves return confirm on FB

ShareMelissa Reeves wrote on her FB page last night.

"i guess i can officially tell you i am going back to "days" for an incredible tribute to frances reid! i am truly blessed to honor her in this way! xoxo, missy see you all soon!"

squeeeeeeeee!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

According to Arleen Sorkin on the SOD site, Days of Our Lives wants John DeLancie, aka Eugene Bradford back on the show.  About friggin time!

*squeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee*

James Ford

Suddenly, I forgot what I was going to blog about.  *drools*

Finally, we get a James Ford eppy.  In any of his lives, James is still getting some.  That's good to know!  lol  We see James pulling his usual con.  I was disappointed that James reverted back to his old ways in his new life.  Turns out, James is a cop trying to con a woman who has a husband that the cops are looking for.  His code word for the police to bust in is "la fleur."
James' partner is Miles.  There didn't seem to be a sign of this Miles talking to the dead.  Miles sets up James with a blind date.  His date is Charlotte.  Great chemistry between those two.  He gets her in bed.  lol  She finds his "Sawyer" file while looking for a t-shirt.  James flips out and kicks her out of his apartment.  The next day, James thinks Miles is upset about Charlotte, when Miles is actually upset about James going to Sydney when he said he was in Palm Springs.

That night, poor James is eating a microwave dinner.  Maybe he can share coupons with microwave dinner buddy Ben Linus.  James watches an eppy of "Little House on the Prairie" about death. James shows up at Charlotte's place with a sunflower like the one he gave Juliet on the island.  Charlotte's not interested.

James tells Miles the next day about his parents' death and who Sawyer is.  A car slams into them with the driver being Kate.

On the island, which is always more interesting, James is tending to Jin.  Jin wants to get away from nuLocke.  James is sticking with nuLocke since nuLocke promised to get him off the island.  It's too late for Jin to get away because the posse shows up.  James seems surprised to see Kate.  Claire and Sayid weren't interested in James at all.  NuLocke tells them they are going to camp for a few days.  James is not happy and calls him out on it.  NuLocke confesses to being the smoke monster to him.  It's amazing how nuLocke uses the truth to his advantage.  So James knows that nuLocke killed everyone at the Temple.  NuLocke said he did it because they wanted to kill him.  I didn't get that feeling, I thought they just stayed there hoping he couldn't kill them there.  A big fib on Locke's part.  Locke sends James to the Hydra Island to check it out for him.

James discovers the mostly intact plane.  He finds a pile of bodies. Then a completely unrecognizable Sheila Kelley from LA Law runs passed him.  Zoe feeds James a line of bull about being the only plane survivor.  Zoe's friends pull  guns on James.  He asks to be "taken to their leader."  lol  The leader is Charles Widmore in the submarine.  James agrees to bring Locke to the Hydra island for Widmore to kill.  But Widmore never said he wanted to kill Locke.  James comes back to the island and tells Locke the truth.  He also mentions the locked door in the sub.

Kate has a bizarre conversation with Sayid.  Sayid is clearly not well.  Claire attacks Kate.  Locke picks Claire up and throws her like a rag doll.  Claire starts screaming at Kate.  Locke totally bitch slaps her.  Man that was shocking!  Holy crap.  Even Kate had a wtf? look on her face.  Locke takes Kate to the beach to tell her that James is on the Hydra Island across the water.  Locke explains to Kate that he told Claire that the Others had Aaron so she would focus on revenge instead of missing Aaron.  That's a crock of shit.  He used her to kill the Others.  Locke tells the story about having a crazy mother and going through "growing pains."  He could be telling the truth.  But I was thinking it was either the real Locke talking about his schizo mom and living in foster care or SmokeyLocke using Locke's story to get sympathy from Kate.  I'm kind of surprised that Doc Jensen on ew.com's Totally Lost site didn't pick up on that.  NuLocke doesn't want Claire to be with Aaron.  He was clearly putting the idea in Kate's head that Claire is an unfit mother.  That also reminded me of the baby issues on the island.  I wonder if Smokey somehow hexed the island of motherhood because of his alleged mommy-issues.

Kate and Claire make up.  Claire almost seems normal.  James comes back to tell Kate he is on no one's side.  He wants Widmore and nuLocke to duke it out while they escape in the sub.

Overall, an interesting eppy mostly because Josh Holloway is amazing.  Not much action.  But the Claire smackdown totally rocked.  lol

I love reading Doc Jensen, but his theory that the smoke monster is really Daniel Farraday is really far fetched.  I don't think the monster is anyone we know, he just is what he is.

Next week is our Richard Alpert episode. Finally!  The sneak peek is of Jack's bonfire party.  Sun explains the candidates thing to Jack.  Jack asks Ilana what to do next.  She doesn't know, but then looks at someone that we can't see.  I'm assuming it's Richard.

St. Patrick's Day eppy

"I'm actually starring in a show dumber than Days of Our Lives."

I'll blog about it later, but yeah "Blue Mountain State" is a an awful show unless you are a sexually frustrated chauvinistic teenage boy.

Mia/Will/Chad/Gabi.  Why?  Seriously.  Gabi is normal and attractive.  Chad dumped her ass today to try again with Mia.  Will gives Mia a necklace.  After receiving a phone call from Grandma Kate, Will leaves.  Chad and Mia start kissing on the bench at the Pier of Death.  Mia's necklace comes undone.  Gabi sees Chad with the necklace.  Gabi gives the necklace to clueless Will.

Anna/Nicole.  Once again, the highlight of the show.  I hope this is the beginning of a beautiful rivalry!  Anna the Sydnapping reformed golddigger vs Nicole the Sydnapping golddigger.  The only difference really between the two characters is that Anna and Tony were soulmates.  Nicole, like Sami, has a lot of soulmates, EJ, Brady, Austin, etc.  Nicole threatens Anna by saying she'll tell Roman and Rafe.  Anna reminds her of her cozy relationship with Roman.  Finally we get to see Anna blame Nicole for Tony's death.  It only took a year!  Great acting today by Leann Hunley and Arianne Zucker.  The Diva is thankful that their scenes were not cut short.  Can't wait for tomorrow.

Carly's hearing.  Melanie despite numerous interruptions by DumBo, got to spit out that Carly did not shoot her on purpose.  Carly gets acquitted.  Bo's happy because he's going to score that night.  Justin's happy because he thinks he'll finally nail Hope.  Why don't they let David Leasure be funny?  I keep waiting for him to be snarky.  What a waste!

Kate/Stefano.  State is still the best couple on the show.  They actually conspire together so well.  It's inspiring really.  Finally we get an entertaining, devilish couple who aren't trying to behave at all.  Kate conspires to let Stefano be with Sydney.  She bribes her way to Sami's place via Will.  Will doesn't seem to have a problem with that, that does seem out of character for me.  EJ busts Stefano with the Sydster.  She loves her Grandpa Stefano!  lol  Earlier, Will wants EJ out of Sami's place.

Except for the dumb teen crap, a great episode.

Big returns

TV Guide is reporting the return of Shane Donovan aka Charles Shaughnessy.  Woohoo!  SOD announces the actors returning to say goodbye to Alice Horton:

Popular Stars Back To DAYS
Digest has obtained the list of actors who have been asked to return for Alice’s sendoff: Jaime Lyn Bauer (Laura Horton), Christie Clark (Carrie Brady), Roark Critchlow (Mike Horton), Maree Cheatham (Marie Horton), Bryan R. Dattilo (Lucas Horton), Mary Beth Evans (Kayla Johnson), Patsy Pease (Kimberly Brady), Melissa Reeves (Jennifer) and Lisa Trusel (Melissa Anderson) are all reportedly returning to Salem. "Most of them aren't coming back for just one day," says an insider. "Some will appear in a few episodes." Frances Reid (ex-Alice) passed away on February 3 and Digest reported exclusively that the show had big plans to bring a slew of stars back to say good-bye. TVGuidemagazine.com reported earlier that Charles Shaughnessy (Shane) is also reprising the role of superspy Shane Donovan.

3/16/10 review - Anna's Holy Shit Moment

Nicole/Anna/Faye –Anna has a HOLY SHIT! moment when Nicole calls her on her cell phone, telling her to come on over and visit. While Anna hustles back to Salem, Nicole gets a guilt trip lecture from Faye. Nicole’s relationship with her mom is still as warm and fuzzy as ever, I see. Nicole confronts Anna that she knows about the kidnapping. More Annacole! Do you hear that, Corday & Co.? Don’t throw away gold, dudes. Ari and Leann rocked it today!

Stephanie/Nathan – Stephanie confesses to Nathan about the letter. The bimbo is surprised and upset when Nathan is more than a little pissed off at her.

Max/Bo/Philip – After Max’s visit with his not-really sister, he spends much of his time today engaging in conversations with and about all of his past lovers. Bo and Max philosophize about the fleeting nature of love. It’s really tough to go through women like running water! He then spends about five seconds being Melanie’s big brother to Philip, threatening that Philip better not break Melanie’s heart. Then he has a coma-inducing heart-to-heart with ex-flame Stephanie. Okay, now I remember why I didn’t like Max in the first place.

Vivian/Hope – Vivian has a gravestone made for Lawrence. OK, now we know he’s not dead. They never show graves of characters if they’re really dead. Hope and Vivian compare Dead Zach the Innocent to Dead Lawrence the Monster. I really wish Larry’s rape victim, Jennifer Deveraux, could have been in on this conversation. LMAO at Hope’s disgusted headshake as Vivian talks crazily at Lawrence’s grave.

Carly – Saint Carly the Martyr of Salem proceeds to bravely march towards the fiery stake with tears in her eyes as Hope, Justin and Bo try to talk her out of being an idiot. We are treated to a series of Melanie/Carly flashbacks as if we’re supposed to be seriously moved by them.

Melanie/Daniel – Melanie the Salem Serial Scene Killer works her mischief on Max and Daniel. Deciding to wreak more havoc, she goes over to the courthouse to kill Carly’s Great Sacrifice Scene too while she’s at it.

Kola Boof on Twitter Rampage

Share

For the last two days, ex-DAYS writer Kola Boof has been on a tell-all Twitter rampage about her time as a writer for the show.  She had served as a ghost writer for James Reilly and "officially" penned two episodes; she also takes credit for creating the character of EJ Wells.   On Twitter, she discussed some of her storyline ideas for the show, citing examples such as  – Billie trying to lure Bo and Hope into a threesome, Abe beating Lexie up into a coma, Alice faking senility to help Steve Johnson, etc. She also made quite a few inflammatory statements against several writers and cast members of the show as well, mostly accusing them of chauvinism and racism.

The writer, also formerly known as one of Osama bin Laden’s past mistresses, has made far too many comments for us to post here on the board. If you are interested, check out her Twitter page and read away.

As always, we’re up for uncensored discussion and debate about what went down.

Ken Corday the Author

On May 4, Sourcebooks is releasing "The Days of Our Lives:  The True Story of One Family's Dream and the Untold History of Days of Our Lives" written by none other than Ken Corday himself.  Sourcebooks describes this as "an insider memoir" about the Cordays and "the true stories that drive the fictional ones [characters] that they [the fans] love on TV".  This book is available for pre-order on Amazon for those interested.

For those of us who have read and endured Ken Corday's little statements over the years that are faithfully published like gospel by Soap Opera Digest and Soap Opera Weekly, etc., we are all pretty aware that Ken Corday is talented at spinning fictional tales, more or less telling those annoying fans what they want to hear, before he turns and around does the exact opposite in practice.  I'd love to hear his accounting of how James E. Reilly wrote characters off the show because of his own personal hang-ups with actors.  I'd love to hear a true telling of what really happened with the whole Salem Stalker debacle.  I'd love to hear the choice words Deidre, Drake, Stephen, Mary Beth and Thaao had for him when they were all unceremoniously written off.  I suspect though that with this book, I'd have to settle for egotistical light-weight fictional fluff disguised as the truth.  Ironically, this book is targeted for the same longterm fans that he has been bound and determined to drive away through reinventing the show to spike those demographic ratings.

I still remember Corday's tactful quote that "for the ardent John and Marlena and Patch and Kayla fans, great, you can still see them at their luncheons. That was then, this is now."  I think I'd rather spend my hard-earned money on one of those luncheons than for the opportunity to read more of your fluffy fiction, Mr. Corday.  Thank you very much.

3/15/10 review - Military Brainwashing

Max/Caroline – Max visits Salem and talks to Melanie. DAYS has finally worn me down. After suffering months with the likes of Chad and Will, Max is looking mighty darned fine in comparison. The brainwashing techniques of this show could be used by the military! Okay, so Frankie, who is really Carly’s brother, was taking care of Max, who was not really Frankie’s brother. Max’s real father was Trent Robbins, but Melanie, who Max thought was his sister, is really Carly and Daniel’s daughter. Got it…whatever. Is it just me or does Frankie really have some explaining to do?

Hope/Melanie – Hope questions Melanie about the shooting. I say let’s call Melanie the “Salem Scene Killer”. She serially manages to kill every scene with the vet characters, and not in a good way. So far, Maggie, Carly and Hope have all been victims. Who’s next?

Carly/Bo – Carly talks Bo out of not becoming Nicole’s cellmate. I acknowledge that CarBo has their chemistry, but it’s Bo’s attitude that is so unattractive. He tells Carly that he’s outgrown Hope; and meanwhile, Hope is talking with Melanie at the hospital in an attempt to save Carly’s ass. Bo has always felt this need to compare the women he’s with. He did this same kind of crap the first time around in 1991 when he told God that he loved Carly more than Hope. It’s just insulting when he’s comparing his women like they’re slabs of meat in a grocery store. Let’s just say, I think I have my “Loser of the Week” picked out! Meanwhile, Carly’s back in Ultra Annoying Martyr Mode. I broke out in applause when Hope called her on it. Man, we really needed Hope around in 1991 to set things straight when Saint Carly was doing this act all the time. Maybe Hope will be “Winner of the Week”.

Anna – Someone cure Anna of this horrible case of “dumb blonde”-itis! First, she may have left Sydney’s picture at the scene of the crime; and secondly, she thinks that anyone on that airplane is actually going to answer any of her questions about the take-off time!  Come to think of it, does anyone know where those stupid boots are now?

Nicole – Nicole gets well acquainted the fine art of scrubbing with a toothbrush. She remembers Anna has owns The Voice. I’m sorry, but even in someone else’s hallucination, Anna wouldn’t be caught dead in an ugly uniform like that!

EJ/Sami/Sydney/Rafe – EJ does another damage control tap dance as Rafe investigates the cottage. The way Sami was freaking out though, you’d think it had been an inner city slum. And will someone please remind Sami that she put her baby sister for sale on the black market? It drives me crazy when she rants over and over about what a monster the kidnapper is. She gets on her moral high horse and ignores her own sins of the past all the time. Must be hereditary…

FancyFace Picks - 3/8 to 3/12

WINNER OF THE WEEK:  Nicole!  I love the new improved badass Nicole.  I know some find it a little too campy, but IMO this is the original Nicole.  She was always spunky and didn't take any crap.  I can't wait for her to get out of jail and shake things up.

LOSER OF THE WEEK:  Melanie.  This is the second time in a row that I've had to put her on this list.  Mainly, it was because she killed the dramatic Maggie scene with her weird facial expressions.  When I can't stand to see her and I can't stand to listen to her, that's no good.

SCENE OF THE WEEK:  I have to give it to Nicole beating up her convict roomie, although the Daniel/Maggie myasthenia gravis scene comes in a close second.

PERFORMER OF THE WEEK:  Suzanne Rogers killed it as Maggie discovered that her old illness was coming back.  I hope this is a storyline the writers are really going to follow through with and not just write a few token scenes and then forget about.

Peter Graves dead at 83

Peter Graves, known to a lot of us here as Thaao Penghlis' cast mate on MISSION IMPOSSIBLE, died at the age of 83.  The MSNBC report is as follows:

Peter Graves, the tall, stalwart actor likely best known for his portrayal of Jim Phelps, leader of a gang of special agents who battled evil conspirators in the long-running television series "Mission: Impossible," died Sunday.

Graves died of an apparent heart attack outside his Los Angeles home, publicist Sandy Brokaw said. He would have been 84 this week

3/12/10 episode - Daniel's sperm in Carly Manning's turkey baster

Share

Victor/Daniel - Daniel tells Victor he’s Melanie’s father. Time for the Victor Kiriakis comedy hour. “Tell me that you sold sperm to pay your way through medical school?” Victor zings. “Tell me that it somehow found its way into Carly Manning‘s turkey baster!” Between the zingers, he finds time for an…drum roll please…ISABELLA MENTION!!! Victor advises Daniel to stick up for Melanie when she’s in trouble like a real dad; in other words, if Dr. Dan gropes her like he does with his other patients, this may not be the best start for their new relationship.

Carly/Vivian - Vivian tells Carly to take a long leap off a short pier. After engaging with Vivian and Victor in meaningless dialogue that is all sarcasm and threats with no action, Carly tells Bo that she will confess to Melanie’s murder. At least in prison, she can have girl fights with Nicole.

Nicole/Chloe - Chloe confides to Nicole about her false pregnancy and Daniel having a child with Carly. Nicole gives Chloe advice to hold onto her man and make him forget about Carly and Melanie. Chloe worries that if she follows her friend’s advice, she too could end up makeup-less in an ugly orange jumpsuit.

EJ/Arianna/Brady - EJ offers Arianna a job with the Dimera Organization. Brady proposes marriage to her once again. Either way, actress Lindsay Hartley is really hoping that she won’t have to wear that stupid Salem Pub uniform anymore.

Rafe/Sami/Agent Clark - Sami leaves her newly found baby daughter with Caroline so that she can return to her favorite pasttime: interrogating and whining and generally being pathetic with Rafe. EJ shows up at her apartment later with Sydney, advising her to focus on her little girl. “Oh, she’s the baby and I’m the mom?” Sami asks.

Anna - Anna double checks the cottage, forgetting the damned boots! Anna remembers the damned boots but can’t find them! Anna fields a call from EJ while she’s trying to find the damned boots so she can get on the goddamn plane! She finds the boots but can’t get them in the fucking suitcase! Anna, the next time you decide to abet in a kidnapping, pack for the getaway early, okay?

New Steve Blackwood Website

Check out Steve Blackwood's new website tailored for Detroit.  Also, if you haven't had the chance yet, listen to our blogtalkradio interview with Steve (ex-Bart, DAYS).  Such a fun and talented guy!

3/11/10 review - Maybe you need a little behavior modification!

Nicole/Poor Bitch Convict She was Beating the Crap out of/Chloe – We finally get to see Nicole Dimera again as she sits in jail, is visited by Chloe and is still trying to remember who bonked her on the skull. Nicole’s opening scene where she was kicking the ass of her roomie had me laughing my fucking ass off. Yes, it was so funny that I won’t even use the initials. So glad to see Nicole back! Hard to believe she was the same woman who was crying like a little weenie when Sami bitchslapped her last November. Here’s to hoping she’ll open a can of that newly found whoop ass on Rafe and Sami when she gets back to Salem!

Maggie/Daniel/Melanie – Daniel makes Maggie get treatment for her myasthenia gravis and continues to try to bond with Melanie. Both scenes with Daniel were actually pretty good today. If Maggie does ever go cougar, maybe Dr. Dan would be a good choice. Shawn Christian seems to rise to the occasion when he’s actually working with some of the better actors on the show; and in this case, I’d say he was effectively “Rogered”. Unfortunately, Maggie’s scene where she tells Melanie about the return of her illness was effectively killed by Melanie’s bizarre facial expressions. Someone, please tell Molly Burnett to stop! Do I have to Twitter her myself?

Brady/Arianna/Sami/Sydney/Rafe – Arianna’s tale of refusing Brady’s marriage proposal bores him so much that he doesn’t even notice when she leaves his office; and in less than 24 hours reunited with her daughter, Sami wastes no time in pawning the poor kid off on Grandma Caroline.

EJ/Anna – EJ still has more revenge in mind for his Samantha as Anna prepares to leave town. Sure enough, she has to leave that high-heeled boot behind! Anna, throw the fucking shoe away, okay? Anyway, she laughs weirdly and kisses Tony’s picture as she packs up to leave Salem permanently…which was strange behavior for a widow. Dare I hope that maybe Tony is waiting for her in Bora Bora?

Farah Fath Apology

Share

Farah Fath (ex-Mimi, DAYS, Gigi, OLTL) posted an apology on her My Space page after writing that she "gives the finger" to all the message boards that trash her.  Read below:

"First off, I apologize for giving certain message board posters the middle finger. Is it honestly what I feel like doing every time I read the terrible things you say about me day in and day out? Yes. But I apologize for lashing out. I lost my cool due to the frustrations of feeling like I can NEVER please the people who I've been trying to please for the past year.

I had never read message boards until recently and was horrified to discover that most people seem to hate me. especially my acting. however, i did not cry about it. I used it as fuel to get better. These past couple of months, I feel like I've put out some of my best work to date. So every week I've been checking back with "you people" (you know who you are) to see if I could finally squeeze an ounce of approval or praise out of you. With no luck. My skills are continuously bashed by the same people every day. You'd think it would be tiresome saying the same awful things about Farah Fath so often but apparently it's a fun topic. Why I have let these people matter to me is simply because I like a challenge. I've so badly wanted them to admit when I have a good show. But I've come to realize it will never happen. So I am letting go of my mini-obsession to please, because no matter what I do with a scene, no matter how I deliver a speech, no matter how I wear my stupid hair, I will never be good enough for these particular individuals. From this day on, I will focus on the people in my life who support me and think I am talented.

I am sorry once again for offending who ever. It was a reaction to being offended myself. I try so hard to be a good actress and just found it disheartening that supposed fans could be so cruel. And then I came to realize that you can be a fan of a show but not be a fan of someone on it. And that is fine. I respect your right to think I'm abominable. Please respect mine to think you are somewhat pathetic.

Most pathetic of all is a lie that is currently circulating about me from an appearance I did several years ago in S.C. I'll clear up 2 things right away, I never received a DIAMOND bracelet from any fan. I'm pretty sure that is what you call a "memorable gift". Also, the scrapbook I was given on that trip is on my mother's coffee table in Lexington, KY with every single page in tact. Next to it sits a framed photo of Eric Winter and myself holding the scrapbook upon receiving it. It, along with 3 other scrapbooks made for me over the years, are some of my most prized possessions.

Now, let's focus on what's truly important here. Many of my fellow cast mates have been losing their jobs as of late. Let's take this time to wish them well instead of calling me names and saying you want to punch me in the face.

I love my job, I love learning from great individuals from whom I associate with AT my job. And last but not least, I am so very grateful to have been a part of daytime for the past 11 years. The lesson learned in my 11th year is not to read message boards ever again. And I won't.

Editorial comment by FancyFace:  While this makes for a good story, the cynic in me wonders if this is Fath just trying to garner sympathy out of fear of also getting the axe on OLTL herself.  I remember back when she played Mimi on DAYS, she would post on the DAYS Coffeeboards as herself pretty regularly.  I don't believe for a moment that she had never read about herself on the Internet before nor that she would be so shocked about people trash talking when she's been in the business for 11 years.  I don't know.  Maybe I'm just jaded.

3/10/10 review - How do you think I'm doing, you bitch!

Stephanie/Melanie – Melanie confronts Stephanie about the letter. The rest of the conversation can more or less be summed up as “Nathan’s MINE!” “No, he’s MINE!” “Philip’s MINE!” “No, he’s MINE TOO!” “BITCH!” “HO!” So many insults and threats going back and forth that Stefano and Victor would be proud.

Mia/Will – bathroom break time

Brady/Arianna – Arianna refuses Brady’s proposal, sparing us the boredom of enduring another wedding of a dull couple. Still, if Arianna had her wedding comb poisoned and got shot by her mother, it would be the most exciting thing to happen to her since her arrival in Salem.

Maggie/Nathan – Maggie meets with Nathan. Nathan mainly whines to Maggie about how he can’t find his balls. Maggie later passes out from boredom…I mean, her illness.

ABE AND LEXIE SIGHTING!!!

EJ/Sami/Rafe – Rafe stays true to character and is as annoying as a dog with a bone as he tries to find out who the Sydnapper was. Meanwhile, EJ manages to spend the night with Sami; and I could be mistaken but I might have witnessed just a few moments of that old EJAMI magic going on. But the most excitement of the show was seeing Nicole in the preview.

Stephen Nichols' Terminex Voiceover

Blogtalkradio episode 15 this weekend!

Join us this Saturday at 11 pm est on our blogtalkradio show to discuss all the crazy stuff that went down the past two weeks.

Hmmmmm....so Linus changes

So, Ben changes his evil ways, but Sayid doesn't.  Hmmmmmm.

Dr. Linus is a put-upon history teacher.  His history club gets bumped so he can supervise detention.  It cracked me up when he mentioned watching the "burn-outs" because I didn't know anyone still used that term anymore.  lol  Nice to see Sideways Locke and Sideways Leslie Arzt.  The actor playing Arzt always steals every scene he's in.  So Sideways Locke wants Linus to be the principal, and Locke will be a happy follower.  Onoz.  Haven't we seen that already?  lol

Linus's best student is Alexandra Rousseau.  She's trying to get into Yale.  Alex drops the bomb that the principal is doing the school nurse on school property.  Ben gets Arzt to hack into the nurse's email to get the dirt on the principal.  Ben tries to blackmail the principal into resigning.  The principal turns the tables by threatening to not give Alex her recommendation.  Later, we see that Ben does the right thing by picking (his daughter) Alex's future over his own.  Too bad we didn't see Gabrielle.  It would have been nice to see her without twigs in her hair.  lol  I wonder if Alex's dad is still dead?

On the island, which still remains my favorite part of the show, Ben, Lapidus, Sun, Miles, and Ilana go back to the beach.  Miles outs Ben as the Jacob assassin. Ben lies through his teeth.  Ilana is not thrilled.  She says that Jacob was like a father to her.  Ilana ties Ben to some trees and tells him to dig his own grave.  Miles tells Ben that Jacob near the end of his life hoped that he was wrong about Ben.  NuLocke shows up to undo Ben's straps if he joins him on the Hydra island.  NuLocke tells him where to find a gun.  Ben bolts with Ilana in tow.  He pulls the gun on her.  Ben has his confession.  He regrets killing Jacob and letting his daughter die.  Ben says he's going to nuLocke because he's the only one who wants him.  Ilana feels his pain, and says she wants him too.  Ben goes back to the beach with Ilana.  Where they are eventually joined by Richard, Hurley, and Jack.

Hurley's dreaming of cheese curls.  lol  Jorge Garcia always nails his little lines like that.  Jack wakes him up to go to the Temple.  Hurley knows going to the Temple is a bad idea.  He tries to lead Jack astray when they run into Richard.  Gotta love Hurley.  He always asks the questions that the audience would ask.  He asks Richard if he's a time traveler and that's why he doesn't age.  Richard tells him no.  We still don't get many answers about Richard.  He goes to Black Rock.  Bummer that it looks like the fans were right that Richard was a slave on that ship.  It still doesn't make much sense, but whatever.

He wants Jack to kill him with the dynamite.  Hurley gets freaked out because messing with the dynamite is what got Arzt killed in season one.  The Arzt death was hilarious.  lol  Anyway, we see new, mature Jack betting that the dynamite with the extra long wick won't explode by sitting across from Richard.  Richard explains that if Jacob touches you that you can't kill yourself.  I don't remember exactly what he said on that one.  Not sure if you can't commit suicide or you can't die.  Richard wants to die because Jacob is dead.  Jacob promised him answers that he never gave.  Richard feels that he wasted his life serving Jacob and received no answers.  When I saw this, I was wondering if Locke's suicide attempt wouldn't have been successful if he wasn't interrupted by Ben.  We know that Michael couldn't commit suicide either even though he wasn't touched by Jacob.  Anyway, the dynomite doesn't explode and they walk back to the beach.

At the end, we see a submarine near the beach.  Widmore is the one coming to the island.  Well, this should be interesting since we don't know what side he's on.  Jacob knew he was coming.  I'm assuming Jacob wanted him to come, but it looks like Widmore is heading for nuLocke and bypassing Jack's beach party.  It would be nice to finally see a Widmore/Ben showdown.  We still don't know why Widmore was banished.  Widmore knew that Locke's body was going to used by Smokey when he found the real John Locke in the desert.  Locke told him he that he was going to have to die to bring them back.  Widmore seemed to know what he meant.

Overall, a very good episode.  Looking forward to seeing Sawyer next week.

Farah Fath Meltdown

Possibly upset about the firing of her co-star, Scott Clifton, (Schuyler, OLTL), Farah Fath (ex-Mimi, DAYS, Gigi, OLTL) got mad as hell and posted the following on her My Space page:

"Farah Fath has her middle finger up to the posters on TWOP & SON most everyday. i give it my all in every show. please stop talking sh*t about me for one g*ddamn minute."

Okay, we'll talk sh*t about her here instead.  Seriously, I thought soap actors knew not to read about themselves on the internet.
