4/7/10 review - Checkmate
EJ/Stefano - The best part of today’s episode was the stand-off with Stefano and EJ. EJ tells Sami that he thinks he’s won and will get Stefano permanently out of his life until Stefano lets him know otherwise; that he knows all about EJ being the real Sydnapper. Steffy gets the Hypocrite of the Week award though when he said “What kind of monster could trick people into believing such a terrible thing [as that a little girl is dead]?” Damn, Stefano has faked so many deaths over the years I’ve lost count; and I hope EJ says as much tomorrow. I loved the chess game between Stefano and EJ. Joe and James ROCKED IT!
Sami/Will/Kate/Gaby - Will’s mad as hell and not going to take it anymore. When he sees evidence that EJ had breakfast with Sami, he decides to move in with Kate at the Dimera Mansion. Not terribly enthralling but still more interesting than another SAFE breakup.
Rafe/Hope/D.A. Woods and Wife/Chad/Lexie/Abe - D.A. Woods is brought into the hospital, having been beaten up. He accuses Rafe as his attacker. When Hope questions Rafe, he says he didn’t do it. This storyline is lame right from the get-go. The whole thing about Benny being released was a flimsy reason for Rafe to lose it in the first place. Who really cares about what happened to the D.A.? And there’s no chance in hell that Rafe actually did it…so what’s the point of all this nonsense?
Bo/Carly/Dan/Victor/Ciara - Bo gets ready to leave Salem for L.A. so that he can donate bone marrow to Kimberly. He says goodbye to Carly and Ciara; but sorry BOPE fans, Hope doesn’t even get so much as a “see you later” even though she was on in the same episode. I’m “unspoiled” at the moment so maybe we’ll see it tomorrow but I won’t hold my breath. Carly gives Daniel some information about his double vision, although no one seems to question how the hell he’s going to read it. Daniel worries how poor wittle Carwee will get by without the Big Strong Bo to protect her from the Big Bad Vivian. Last I recall, Carly knew how to make a filet steak out of a troublesome husband, so I’m not too worried about her, to tell you the truth.
