The Diva thinks that Louise Sorel needs to start taping asap to save the show.

The Diva now has something positive to say about the Danloe storyline and it's thanks to the brilliant Lauren Koslow. The Diva has hated this over the top ridiculous story of Kate once again meddling in her son's life, even though I have been rooting for that damn poison to finally work. But the look Kate gave Daniel when she knew he knew was pure soap and was delivered perfectly. Lauren's wonderful performance has been one of the few bright spots in this mostly dreadful storyline.
The Diva now hopes Lauren Koslow will finally be given a decent storyline when the equally wonderful Louise Sorel returns. So much potential there. I know everyone is thinking triangle with Victor or Stefano, but I say been there done that. How about using Roman this time in a triangle with Kate and Viv. Come on let's face it Josh ain't going anywhere with Kenny around and it has been painful to watch him with nothing to do so why not use him? Josh always seems to shine when Roman is involved with Kate or any woman for that matter. So Kaman fans what do you think? Or should I say Vivman fans? Possible? Why not? But that is a blog for another day.
@galengering & i Hearing stories about SC fan event this past weekend. From @ericmartsolf & James. Guess James was quite the troublemaker?
aargh. wish i couldve been in SC. hate that people were offended/upset. SO not what fan events r 4! Pls know how much we ALL appreciate u!
Seems all the uproar stemmed from this post of Erica at Second Chances (LUMI).
My take on it. Yes, James Scott was at best careless; at worst, cruel to a suffering fan base and sponsor. Seems like he’s been taking lessons from the Ken Corday charm school. These assholes expect us to care enough about PASSIONS LITE and the characters so that they can pay for their Gucci shoes and their expensive houses in L.A., but then in the same five minutes they criticize us for caring too much and that “it’s only a soap”. Care enough to make me rich; meanwhile, have fun seeing your favorite fired vet at a fan luncheon. When money and commitment from said fans are also involved as in the case of this fan event, that just makes it all worse.
To give the devil his due, my guess is that James wrote on the shirt and gave the finger as a part of a joke about EJ vs. Lucas and didn’t realize just how seriously the SECOND CHANCES folks would take it. For him, DAYS truly is just a job on a soap opera, a stepping stone in a career; he doesn’t have the emotional investment that a longtime LUMI fan would have in the characters and stories. He admittedly doesn’t keep up with the Internet and doesn’t really know about how fans are feeling outside of that Burbank studio bubble. But as long as he’s taking his paychecks from DAYS, he should try to grow up a little and be professional at fan events. Hopefully, he’s getting a good wrist slapping from someone right now.
That being said, Erica might be taken more seriously if she didn’t seem to have such an axe to grind in her post. For example, calling EJAMI fans “rapemi” fans doesn’t do too much for her credibility. (Of course, I love calling Nelson a “Douchebag”…so who am I to judge?) It seemed like James tried to make amends to her by giving her a hug later on, but she wasn’t having any. Which makes me wonder if she is confusing James a little bit too much with EJ. Just sayin’.
My burning question is why is Ali Sweeney jumping into the fray, twittering about it all over the Net? Why is she just pushing the gossip out there, getting James in more hot water? Is it possible that she is also pushing this SAFE bullshit that we’re suffering right now? How much of what we’re hearing about is true story…and how much is backstage DAYS politics and overzealous fan spin? Impossible to know, but fun to speculate about.
Usually, I’m not one to shy away from stirring up trouble…but really, guys. Isn’t Galen Gering (Rafe) the real threat right now? As long as Gary Tomlin’s pushing his agenda of SAFE and PASSIONS LITE, both EJAMI and LUMI are toast. It’s like the Democrats and Republicans never coming to any kind of agreement about the stimulus package as the Great Recession looms over our heads, threatening to bankrupt us all. There are bigger battles to fight over than one actor’s foolishness.

That blog was right again.I knew someone would bring this up. The blog you're referring to has gotten about one-and-a-half things correct. She said a "supercouple was leaving", and it was that Thaao was fired and Leann was taken off recurring. And, she got this right.
Diva: The Diva has only posted two spoilers, and they were both correct. This is not a spoiler blog, and not advertised to be one. Ellie is a J&M fan. Some of the J&M fans refuse to acknowledge that any DOOL couple is a supercouple other than J&M. The soap mags and journalists all refer to Tanna as a supercouple.
In between those things, she has posted slurs about the sexual orientation of some of the administrators of this board; she's posted blatantly incorrect items about other fans, which it's clear she didn't bother to research at all; she's made hateful posts about certain fanbases; and she's reposted items from this and other boards without giving any credit.
Diva: I called the mods at DR "the gay mafia." Sorry, I don't consider that to be a slur. I did not post anything incorrect about anyone. I'm assuming she's referring to my blog about Jiggs, her friend, being a stalker. Yeah that's true and everyone knows it. I believe the only fanbase I ever bashed was the J&M fans. They are by far the most hated DOOL fanbase and with good reason. BTW, DR deleted the thread about the Diva breaking the Louise Sorel news, so who isn't giving boards credit now?
We were particularly gratified here when, after the blog you're referring to posted this, we saw many posts on other boards saying that since they hadn't seen this item at the DR or certain other sites, they weren't sure it was reliable. We aim to provide everyone with reliable information as quickly as possible. If that means skipping a "scoop" from a site like the one I've just described, then we're very comfortable with that.
Diva: Bullshit. One poster on one board said they would believe it if it appeared at DR. DR only has one person there that posts reliable spoilers. Everything else they do is copy and paste from other sites. They do posts links but copy and paste the entire spoiler from elsewhere. Thus they are getting hits off of other peoples' information. Since The Diva has been lectured about internet etiquette, etiquette states that you link only and not copy and paste the entire damn thing. The Diva has never once posted a spoiler that wasn't true.
This really isn't unlike the whole TMZ debate that went on after Michael Jackson's death. They got a very big scoop, and they got it right. However, that scoop belongs to a gossipy site which, in between poorly-researched celebrity tidbits, might have some accurate information.
I hope this clears up the issue.
Diva: Considering DR has an 18 and over private section of the board called "The Dungeon", who is more like TMZ? Actor gossip is all over that board. Does that make them like TMZ? They let Nelson Branco post there. How are his postings any more credible than TMZ? Almost all his articles have blind items on who is allegedly gay this week. Yet they let him link on their message board.
BTW, Ellie used to be a full-fledged mod at DR. She got demoted after the posters there complained about her obvious favoritism toward the J&M fans. Ellie was routinely dishing out infractions to anyone who disagreed with her friends. Tsk tsk. Considering how long Ellie's diatribe was at DR today, it's pretty obvious that she comes here and reads the Diva blog OFTEN. lol
Also, another DR mod, Amello bashed the Diva at SON. He/she/it said that the Louise Sorel news was made up. Whoops!
That's right worshipers...Diva has now gotten mail. I know what your thinking...it is good mail not hate mail. Yeah Diva has fans and I love it. Take that Kool-aid haters!
Well last night Diva received a email from a group that will be campaigning to get Stephen and Mary Beth on the Young and the Restless. I personally think this is great and I would love to extend my hand to help in any way possible.
We all know that they got the shaft on Days so why not try to get them on Y&R? I personally don't watch Y&R, but if Stephen and Mary Beth went there I would most definitely watch.
So I am asking you all to go to this wonderful website and check everything out. Lets get this campaign started and get these two wonderful talents back on our screens.
I would like to extend my thank you to the Grass Rooters who sent me this email.

Mary Beth Evans is apparently blogging as well as continuing her column on Hybrid Mom. Here is her first blog that was posted on Friday. I for one hope to see her blog that she has a new acting gig coming soon...preferably something sexy that shows that unlike what Gary "The Ageist" Tomlin thinks, she is still an attractive woman and not quite ready for a walker just yet.
Just like the late great Skork campaign of “WTH Are Steve and Kayla”, I have to ask “WTH are EJ’s Balls”? Last year, there was a Hoochie campaign where fans of Stefano, Tony and EJ Dimera all sent balls to the DAYS studio, requesting that the Dimeras please get their balls back. I don’t think we’ll ever see that happen. It’s bad enough that Tony is now dead. It’s bad enough that Stefano Dimera, one of the greatest soap villains of all time, is a doddering babysitting grandpa with high blood sugar. Now EJ, the last standing Dimera, is being spayed and neutered right in front of our eyes. If EJ’s not showing what a loving papa he is onscreen for the umpteenth time, he’s involved in Dimera business offscreen. Nicole has him completely whipped right now. Every once in a while, he’ll yell a bit just to remind us he’s a big bad Dimera and then he slinks back into his cave again. Fans are hoping that if and when the BIG REVEAL ever comes out about Baby Sydney, then we’ll see EJ back in his glory…but I worry that he’s becoming such a woose that it’s all going to turn out to be a crashing anti-climactic bore.
Whether you think EJ is one hot sexy British dish or that he’s just a nasty no-good rapist, one thing is for certain. His character was never meant to be boring. It’s just wrong when Sami opts for the dull-as-dishwater Rafe over EJ. It’s just wrong when Nicole the Golddigger has more brains than he has. I was hoping the whole Johnny Dimera custody battle would lead to some spicy EJAMI bloodfests, accompanied by intermittent scrumps when no one’s looking…but no, I guess that would be too passionate…too much what a successful soap opera is like. Slowly but surely, EJ is being pushed to the backburner. I’d hate to see EJ turn out like Jack Deveraux, meaning that he was a character that used to have teeth and was exciting to watch but then gets backburned and miswritten to the point where the less loyal viewers and the less committed headwriters forget what the character was about in the first place.
James Scott is still one of the most charismatic actors on DAYS right now. Maybe Gary Tomlin doesn’t have the hots for him like he does for Galen Gering or Eric Martsolf, but that’s a poor excuse to blow him off. I caution James Scott fans to fight to keep their man front and center. Best of luck to you.

Yikes, that's a bad week.
Another week of the Stephanie/Phillip/Melanie/Nathan/Stephanie ring of monotony. Another week of wondering just how many poisoned appetizers Kate has to feed Chloe before the bitch will hurry up and die already. Another week of watching Bo and Hope flip-flop from cop mode to the Twilight Zone and back again. (Maybe when Carly Manning returns, she can give her ex-lover Bo some much needed brain surgery and fix his ailment; it’s the least she could do after dumping him for Larry Alamain all those years ago.) Another week of draaaaagggging out the Nicole/EJ/Sami story for the rest of all time…with Sami’s constant speculations about Rafe’s dead tart fiancée named Emily Hudson. Who wants to lay bets that Emily will be played by some other PASSIONS Refugee Actress when her character comes back from the dead…probably to save Rafe from the gas chamber for her murder or some such nonsense. Since let’s face it…everything seems to be about Rafe now. But that’s another blog for another day.
But in between naps and shaking my head in disgust, there has been one bright spot on DAYS for me…and that’s been Chris, Kate’s Assistant. He is working his way right up there with Eugene and Calliope, Vivian and Ivan, Howie Hoffstedder and Bart as one of the great funny DAYS characters. While his scenes with Kate are always fun, I laughed my ass off during the Chris/Bo telephone conversation. And since the whole frame-up of Dr. Dan is such a silly over-the-top plot anyway, it’s not like Chris is dumbing down any of the other moronic characters involved.
Ross Mathews is already fairly known as a television personality from all kinds of stuff, most famously from THE JAY LENO SHOW. So it’s obvious that he doesn’t need DAYS for his bread and butter…and it shows. He effortlessly steals every scene he’s in, seemingly oblivious to any backstage politics or bullshit. He’s got a blog and a twitter page and an IMDB resume a mile long. Diva’s simply too sleepy from watching so much DAYS to link everything to this guy at the moment. But check it out if he’s your thang.
A nice change of pace to laugh with the soap rather than at it.
There. The Diva said one nice thing about PASSIONS LITE this week. Don’t get too used to it.
Kevin Spacey was on David Letterman on the 21st talking about how his business manager made him "drink the Kool-aid" and do twitter. Apparently neither Kevin nor Letterman knew that "drinking the kool-aid" is a racial slur according to David the troll who spammed the Diva blog last week claiming that I'm a racist for using that term. Anyway, I hope David the troll lives up to his promise of "educating" people that calling someone a "kool-aid drinker" is a racial slur. Since Mr. Spacey is on Twitter, I'm sure David the troll will have no problem getting a hold of Kevin Spacey.
*UPDATE* David the race baiter's youtube account has been suspended. I guess youtube is racist too.

Long before the days of Dr. Dan, we had Dr. Mike! Before Dan with Chelsea, Kate and Chloe…we had Mike with Robin, Janice, April and Carrie. My favorite Mike Horton version was played by Michael T. Weiss, who has since gone on to become famous as THE PRETENDER. However, he’s also building a nice little niche for himself doing theater. Since his days as Dr. Mike and Jarod, he’s also been doing a lot of regional theater and has been doing more and more theater in NYC.
In 2007, he starred in the play SCARCITY with Kristen Johnson at the Atlantic Theater Company. Any fan of Dr. Mike’s would hardly recognize him as the washed-up alcoholic football player with a sleazy side. He then starred in his Broadway debut in IMPRESSIONISMS this year with Joan Allen and Jeremy Irons. In this, he played the object of Joan Allen’s affection; alas, he only had eyes for the painting that he was buying. Unfortunately, the show did not set the Great White Way on fire and closed early. However, Weiss was featured in June 2009 VANITY FAIR in a photo shoot with the “25 hottest” theater stars of the season. He also recently gave a reading at Word Theater in NYC with Sarah Paulson, Ben Foster and Carla Gugino. No news yet about what’s in store for him next…but hopefully he will be back on stage soon. Reports are that he is a really sweet in person…and tres tall. The Diva’s kind of guy…who only gets better with age!
You may not know this but Michael not only acts but is also a fine painter. Here is a link to his gallery of art that is available for purchase.
He also has two great fan sites…

Now don’t get me wrong, I am no fan of Felicia Terrell. She managed to suck all the oxygen out of every scene she was in with her sarcastic smirks and her whining. My theory is that the DAYS casting department has to scrape the bottom of the barrel to find actresses that will actually make Molly Burnette and Nadia Bjorlin look good in comparison. And by the way, I have no idea who those two actresses are screwing to have such star power on DAYS…but I digress…
Gary Tomlin, the REAL Tsar of DAYS now, will not rest until he has managed to take a long-lasting beloved soap that has lasted for years and morph it into PASSIONS, a show that was written by his BFF James E. Reilly (lovingly known here as JERk) and was mercifully canceled. Where is the logic in this? If PASSIONS didn’t work the first time, why would it work now?
At least with the upcoming returns of Crystal Chappell, Wally Kurth, Kevin Spirtas and Louise Sorel, I will have the opportunity to recall that long-lost forgotten show. What was its name again? Oh yeah. DAYS OF OUR LIVES!

Yep, the "no holds barred" board actually has the Diva blog filtered. You cannot link the Diva blog at Douchebag Royalty. You will receive a pm saying you can't immediately. That's ok. Everyone knows the Diva broke the news on Louise Sorel returning. It's not my fault Nelson will be confirming it really, really, really late. What a bunch of propagandists!
BTW, the comments are still moderated unfortunately. That's what happens when one person uses 12 screen names to write "RACIST" hundreds of times. The Diva was very patient with David the ignorant race baiter. His immature tirades were ruining the Diva experience for others. When David goes back on his meds, we'll allow the comments to flow without moderation. Thanks for your patience. And yes, we are publishing non-flattering Diva comments.
This week, he stars as Sky Masterson in GUYS AND DOLLS at the California Musical Theatre starting today, July 21st up until July 26th. If any of you constant readers live in California or are willing to travel there and see the show, please write the Diva and let her know how Jacky-Boy is faring these days on the stage. Last I heard, there are still tickets available.
Below is a link to Charlie’s 17-minute interview with WABC Radio about his upcoming performance in SLEUTH. He discusses working on the show, his life as an actor and his television career. In it, he says that he has “never had as much fun and laughed as much” as when he worked on DAYS. It’s worth checking out just to hear that fabulous voice again!

Stephen just filmed his scenes for Crash. They were with Dennis Hopper. His character is a former Rock-n-Roll singer, buddy of Dennis' character who just got out of rehab. It will be the fifth show of the second season which starts in September. Crash is on Starz. News courtesy of S&K.com.
Diva has gone public and that should make my loyal readers very happy. Now there will be some people who will be probably spitting nails, but really do I care? Some people thought they could come here and make me back down with their silly threats...name calling...and other juvenile things, but obviously this move proves their threats did nothing to me, but to give me an idea on how people are these days. Either way it is water under the bridge and Diva moves on!
I hope my faithful readers will come join me at facebook. Just go and push the facebook badge and you will be linked to my page.

OK, so am I supposed to get excited?Dr. Craig Wesley (Kevin Spirtas) is coming back three days just to prop up the already overly-propped Chloe Lane. Woo-hoo…so what? This is about as exciting as the news that Justin Kiriakis (Wally Kurth) is coming back for a recurring role, undoubtedly to prop up the overly-propped Phillip Kiriakis. Seriously, why flaunt these still-sexy older male actors, taunting those of the longtime viewers who can still stomach what DAYS has become, only to use them in recurring roles and supporting parts to the newbies?
You know what would excite me? If DAYS would write a real storyline for a character over the age of 30. Let’s see Maggie divorce Mickey and have an affair with one of the young hotties. Let’s see Justin Kiriakis come back and be a bad boy and restart the Kiriakis/Dimera war. Let’s see Craig Wesley have a real storyline…you know? The one that he never got on his first run on DAYS, besides being comic relief with wife Nancy.
And for those of you who think Crystal Chappell will set DAYS on fire...guess what? She’s over 30 and will be disposable. Because Gary Tomlin (and I say Tomlin because he is the real runner of the show…just as Dick Cheney was really president!) cannot stand anyone over the age of 30. Just ask Stephen Nichols and Mary Beth Evans about that. They’ll tell you. So someone really needs to warn Crystal that regardless of whatever that ass said to her to get her to come back to the show, he was lying!
DAYS is just following the same pattern as all the other soaps seem to be doing, tossing out the loved vets with history only to hire vets from other soaps…just so they can backburner them for their all-important newbies that have all of the charisma of wet paperbags. Perhaps Louise Sorel's return as Vivian Alamain (that yours truly broke the scoop about -- no matter what liars take the credit for it later) will break the pattern, but Diva wouldn't bet the farm on it.
You know what would excite me? If the soaps actually cared about what their viewers wanted to see for a change…

Yes. And it is confirmed.
BTW, Daytime Royalty deleted the thread that linked my blog about the news. That doesn't change the fact that The Diva broke the news first. Of course, we all know that Nelson "The Douchebag" Branco will break it tomorrow and diss me again. Good luck on that!
Sorry that the comments are currently under moderation. Someone *cough* David *cough* has been spamming me for two days. The Diva will try to approve the posts as fast as I can.
Let's start at the beginning. The whole purpose of this blog was for me to express myself without moderation, censorship, or pathetic threats of being banned from message boards. It also bothered me that the whole DOOL blog genre was dominated by men who all share the same opinion. The Diva figured it was time for some diversity. Thus, I started this blog to share my point of view uncensored. I saw at many other message boards that a lot of fans felt the same way I do, but felt handcuffed by mods with prejudices against people who don't agree with them. This blog is a place for others to comment uncensored. The Diva did not delete any comments, not even the sexist ones. David though has been busy deleting negative comments from his youtube page. lol
Yes, I saw the links to the "Obama Bucks." None of the reporters who reported on the story said that Kool Aid is a racial stereotype. It's not a racial stereotype. Kool-aid drinkers refers to Jonestown. Jonestown pre-dates the Obama Bucks by 30 years. Unfortunately so many Americans are so ignorant of history that they mistakenly thought the Kool Aid stereotype started with the Obama Bucks. It doesn't. Kool Aid has nothing to do with race. It is a term referring to people who blindly follow leaders without question. The reference on the Obama bucks of the Kool Aid man meant that his supporters followed him like Jim Jones.
For some inexplicable reason, some sheep chose Nelson Branco to be there leader. I am not jealous of Nelson. I am not a soap journalist, I am a blogger. I am not beholden to anyone. I post what I want, when I want. I don't kiss anyone's ass for access to inside info like Nelson does. I don't have a person problem with Jamey either. His constant ass kissing of Nelson is embarrassing, but hey it pays off for him because Nelson links him every single time he writes. Nelson only posts at DR because they ban people who politely challenge him. Also he posts there for the hits. He threw a hissy fit there this past winter after the J&M fans (whom I and several others fans have also referred to as "kool-aid drinkers") bashed him for reporting that the DH's hate each other. He basically said fuck you to the board and left. He came crawling back when no one was linking him anymore.
The Diva has never asked anyone to link with me. I prefer to stay independent. I could have chosen that route. If I wanted fame or whatever, I could have ass-kissed Jamey, Nelson, etc. and gotten a few more hits. But that's too constricting for me. I want the freedom to criticize what they write. Nelson is completely intolerant of contrary opinions. So why should I kiss his ass and censor myself for hits? That's selling out. When I agree with them on something, then I'll blog about that too. Even Kenny at Douchebag Royalty agrees with me about what he calls "sister sites" of Daytime Confidential and Nelson's stuff. That's like The Diva asking a friend to start a blog quoting me and agreeing with me, and I would do the same for her. That's boring!
The Diva would like someone to explain to me from the spammers here why it's ok to use derogatory female stereotypes about me and my followers. Why is it ok to call someone a bitch, fat bitch, welfare recipient, Lane Bryant shopper, etc? But I can't refer to someone as a Kool Aid drinker when the term has NOTHING to do with race? This is not a politically correct blog. Political correctness is censorship. The Diva is not interested in censorship. If you want a completely sanitized blog, then go read something else. Threatening me with lawsuits and arrests make me laugh. Good luck finding an attorney on that one.
The Diva blog is not beholden to any journalistic or advertising standards. I'm not selling anything. I am not a journalist. I don't do polls or research to see what words offend people. I chose not to be friends with people who are overly sensitive. They are no fun. Sorry, David does not seem like a fun guy to me. lol I will accept his apology for calling me a racist. I do understand if he did not know the true meaning of "Kool Aid drinkers". He needs to learn that falsely accusing someone of being a racist is harmful to civil rights in general. It's kind of like the little boy who cried wolf. Everyone eventually stops paying attention to you when you cry wolf. Real racism is the Obama Bucks with the watermelon, fried chicken, and ribs. The Kool-Aid man is not racist at all and refers to Jonestown.

Yes, this a youtube video about the Jonestown Massacre that so many of you refuse to learn for yourselves. Thank goodness, the All Powerful and All Knowing Diva is here for a history lesson. Pay special attention at the 12 minutes and 30 seconds mark where Jim Jones's son and the host discuss the origin of the phrase "Kool-Aid drinker."
Actually, yes the Diva is planning on starting her own podcast with the Diva Spy Network. Unfortunately, that means a lot of us have to start watching DOOL again. lol But we suffer for our art. The Diva is also All Forgiving, and will accept any sincere apologies from the spammers who called me a racist.
The Kool-Aid man is not a racist! lol
The dude on youtube has responded to my blog about his ramblings. He actually played the race card on the Diva. Since he's so found of Wikipedia, he should look up references to "drinking the Kool-aid." It is about Jim Jones and his cult followers who drank poisoned Kool-Aid and died. The saying has nothing to do with race.
Oh great, let's talk about Crystal Chappell again. Corday said that CC was "not in the same store" with the DOOL actors he fired. Thus, she's paid a lot LESS than them. But this guy thinks the exact opposite. Yes it is an insult to fans to hire an actress that doesn't have a fanbase on DOOL to replace 5 actors that do. CC's popularity did not save GL even with the massive amount of press she gets for kissing a girl once. Oh, and the ratings have gone down since Tony's death week. That week, the show had 3 million viewers, and hasn't hit that since. It's safe to say that 1/2 million fans tuned out after the ten millionth death of Tony DiMera.
Sorry, I've never been to the Kool-Aid drinkers site. Someone posted 2 links of his here in the comments section. It could have been himself doing it to get publicity from me. lol

I miss Kim!
Patsy did an interview with We Love Soaps. Part 1 is a transcript, part 2 is an audio interview, part 3 is another transcript, and part 4 isn't up yet.
BTW, Patsy is a spokeswoman for a charity for children with congential lung disorders. You can find the site here.

Seriously, douching twice in one day is a bad idea.
Wow. One of my followers found a Y&R blog dissing Daytime Confidential and The Douchebag. So you know I have to spread this link around. Glad to see that fans from other soaps share the same opinions that us DOOL fans have.
Thanks so much for sharing your interesting links with me. I know it is hard sometimes to post under a name in the comments. Feel free to put your name in your comment so The Diva knows who to thank.
Love you guys.
There's no accounting for taste. Here's what the Diva found today on The Douchebag's Suds Report:
AWARDS SHOW CENTRAL
Suds Report named red-carpet Emmy expert!
If all goes according to plan, The Suds Report will join Soap Opera Digest editor Stephanie Sloane and daytimeconfidential.com’s editorial director Jamey Giddens in handicapping the Daytime Emmy Awards race as experts on the red-carpet show leading up to the kudofest on Aug. 30 at 8 p.m. on The CW.
Seriously, wtf? That's hardly a fair and balanced show. Jamey and The Douchebag share exactly the same opinions. Stephanie Sloane is probably the only one out of the three that actually watches DOOL. Why not have the awesome Serial Drama girls do the show? Let's have some fans do some commentary. Apparently The Diva's invitation got lost in the mail. lol Who wouldn't want to watch The Diva looking hot in a pink dress ask Ken Corday probing questions?
Anyway, wouldn't it be awesome if the fired vets had a fan luncheon that day? The vets and their fans can celebrate the emmys they had a hand in getting the nominations for the show. Besides, that would be so much more fun than watching The Douchebag lust after every young man on every show.

Thanks to the Diva follower who posted the youtube link here with this fool:
First off, there's no proof fans followed Crystal Chappell to her various soap gigs. Also, why should CC stay on the show for years when vets we loved got fired? Shouldn't she have to prove her comeback to DOOL brought in ratings? This is what happens when Kool Aid drinkers read Jamey Gibbons and Nelson "The Douchebag" Branco. Blogging isn't as easy as it looks. He proves amateurs shouldn't post videos of themselves on youtube.
Another brilliant banner by wawame.
Thanks so much for the follower who posted the Ken Corday tribute in the comments section. In case you missed it:
Please feel free to use anything you see on the blog. If you use one of wawame's banners, it would be nice if you credited her. The Diva/luncheon banner on top is now sized for Soap City by request. Spread the youtube clip around too. Please feel free to post in the comments section anything you find of interest that you think the Diva would enjoy. Thanks so much for the contributions already!

Wawame, the banner is too big for the Soap City board. Could you resize it? Thanks! I've been getting some requests to use it there.

We're not gonna take it!
Just when you think that Ken Corday couldn't possibly treat the vet fans any worse than he has, he insults them in Soap Opera Digest. In case you've been living under a rock the past day, the Asshole told the vet fans that, "for the ardent John and Marlena and Patch and Kayla fans, great, you can still see them at their luncheons. That was then, this is now." Oh, isn't that nice! He's obviously taking a pot shot at Stephen and Marybeth and their fan who recently had a luncheon. Stephen and Marybeth are total class acts. They had their luncheon after they were fired. What a rude thing to say to fans. What really pisses me off, is that we could have hundreds of thousands of fans writing into SOD complaining about what the Asshole said, and those chickenshits wouldn't publish one. Do it anyway! Write in.
SOD asked the Asshole why return Crystal Chappel and Wally Kurth instead of vets we actually want to see, and he said basically that CC and WK are cheaper. And CC is going to bring in a lot of fans. He still doesn't believe any vet fans left. The Diva left months ago. Just from looking around the boards, I'm not the only one. BTW, WK is on recurring. So you know his return is going to be a dud. It'll be as interesting as Judi Evans' return as Adrienne. Bummer. I was excited about Justin Kiriakis. Oh, and Miss Judi has a short term gig with As the World Turns coming up. Good for her! Judi has been wildly popular on every show she's been on.
I don't have the magazine yet, but apparently the Tony and Anna fans got left out of the fan base bashfest. That seems like such a major snub to me that he wouldn't even think of returning Tanna or even mention them. They killed Tony off for nothing but cheap ratings. The Kiriakis/DiMera feud is over. Stefano's back to being a meddlesome granddad. EJ's still being duped by his bride. Blah Blah Blah Kate's gone off the deep end. *Yawn* Wake me when it's over. Oh, and the Asshole is very happy with Molly Burnett. Seriously? I had no idea.
Carly and Dr. McPervy are going to be in a quad with Bope. Oh joy. The Diva is seriously going to hurl if Dr. McGropey even looks at Hope the wrong way. The Asshole of course takes all the credit for the Carly return by suggesting something fresh for Bope. So the lack-of-brain trust come up with the same storyline they gave Billie but changed her name to Carly in the scripts. He said it wasn't a reward for Peter's emmy nom. In case you haven't noticed, last year's Emmy nominees are all gone from the show. Watch out Peter!
The cover of SOD mentions cancellation. We all know that the morons running NBC aren't the sharpest tools in the shed. DOOL is consistently number 3 in the ratings, very closely behind the Bold and the Beautiful for second place. So why is NBC even considering cancelling the show with so many soaps doing worse?
The Diva's ready to start a revolution. Let's all send tea bags to the studio and the magazines. It's time to take our show back before the Asshole gets it cancelled for good.
