The Diva was tempted to check it out, but after this news from Nelson, yeah, I think I will skip it. Seriously? Nadia AND Galen on Venice? Ugh! Isn't ruining DOOL with their bad acting skills enough? Come on Crystal. Pick some good actors please!

ReplyDeletePerhaps they were the only ones available at the last moment (filming begins next week) and are willing to work for free. GG doesn't bother me too much ... not as thrilled with NB.

ReplyDeleteThe sad thing is, Venice had a pretty strong cast (Gina Tognini, Jeff Branson, Hillary B. Smith, Jordan Clarke, Michael Sabatino, Tina Sloan, etc.) before these two horrible additions to the cast. Venice will be shot in California and most of the cast members are East Coasters, so the logistics aren't easy. Perhaps NB and GG are last-minute replacements. One of the ex-GL actors, Danny Cosgrove, had to drop out this season because of a scheduling conflict with a paying gig.
Not surprisingly, Venice fans who have first-hand knowledge of NB and GG's sucktastic acting aren't happy campers. Using DOOL actors isn't a bad idea per se, but NB and GG are terrible picks. Who's next? Taylor Spreitler?
To take some of the sting out of this depressing news, CC needs to talk her friend Louise into joining the Venice cast ASAP.
Yeah Louise Sorel is a keeper of course.

Maybe the can pick it up and all three stay on the show, they can hire somemore of the dead weight polluting DAYS, and then hire back TALENTED actors who played REALLY ESTABLISHED DAYS characters -- Jack, Jennifer, Steve, Kayla, and Toe-knee, and Ah-na.
ReplyDeleteI like the rest of the cast, it's the addition of NB and GG that has me scratching my head. I hope they really direct those two and make them rehearse!
ReplyDeleteNever seen GG, but I doubt direction could cure him. And I know for a fact it cannot cure Nadia. She was trained to be an opera singer, so she she should have some knowledge of how to use her voice, and she does not. But I LOVE OPERA, and I no longer watch DAYS -- so I guess I rather Nadia ruin that show than opera -- that has been around for centuries.

ReplyDeletePresumably NB was added for the eye-candy factor. Jamey Giddens seems to think she's going to entice horny frat boys. Whatever. Venice has a huge cast for a webseries. Best-case scenario for NB is that they keep her dialogue to a minimum and use her mostly for love scenes.
Did NB ever sing on DOOL?
I think she sang on Days, I can't be sure though it was back when her and Stefano shared a love for opera. Yea not to sure how there going to have GG be CC's brother they don't look anything alike, but apparently it was last minute and CC said he was super excited to be a part of it so who knows maybe he'll suprise us and Nadia yea clearly eye candy her character is "a tempramental model who doesnt like Gina" I guess she doesnt like her because Ani (who plays Nadia's love interest) is still in love with Gina. Who here would love to see Kristian Alfonso play CC's love interest for just one episode on Venice lol PR would be in heaven.
ReplyDeleteI guess maybe CC is trying to suck up to her new employers by hiring some DAYS cast members. But Gawd, couldn't she have gone with Bryan Datillo or Wally Kurth? I agree with one of the posts above. The best thing would be if VENICE is such a hit that GG and NB leave DAYS for good!
