• Mr. & Mrs. Smith who? Yesterday, Soaps In Depth tweeted their first major scoop since George Bush's first Presidential administration: Austin Peck has been unexpectedly released from his World Turns contract. Suds Report has learned that Peck, who recently separated from his wife, Tara, is currently embroiled in a controversial affair with one of his married castmates which ultimately polarized the set. Everyone wanted him fired because the woman he had an affair with left her husband, whom we all love, reveals one actor. Another source reports another reason for increased tension on the Brooklyn set: Michael [Park, Jack] and Austin have been at odds for some time.
Reportedly, the cast is universally happy that the home wrecker has been let go. Suds Report reminds the World Turns cast that it takes two to tango, kids. As a rule, I do not write about actors personal lives — unless, of course, it affects what we see on our screens. I'm not really sure how Pecks personal choices led to him being fired — nor do I understand why his female lover still has a job if Peck was fired. Reverse sexism much? As for Bradski, Pecks pre-nominated Emmy role will not be recast. Spoiler alert: Brad will be killed by Jack, which sends Carly's ex-husband off on a spiritual quest.

Ok seeing this is from the Douchebag can we really believe this? Has this been confimed? He has gotten things wrong before as we all know. It does seem a little crazy that a soap actor would get fired for having his own personal affair? Why him and not the actress involved. Sorry have to agree with Nelson on the it takes two to tango. All I can say is I hope they take him back because I think Corday is making a phone call even as we speak! OH GOD NO!
ReplyDeleteWell, Douche does seem to fabricate things. But I remember reading things about Peck -- though I was not watching the show it was all around the net -- that at fan events he was a jerk to non-teen girl fans, and then got religion and was a obnoxious trying to force his religion on everyone he met. So, I would not be too sure that he is not that loved by his fellow castmates. But firing for an affair, how many of those occur on soaps?

ReplyDeleteI believe it's possible that affairs happen on Soaps. Unfortunatley they happen in life away from the entertainment industry, so why not the Soaps. I remember hearing rumors of an affair between actors on a soap years ago. One of them involved soon left the soap for personal reasons and is still married to the same person he/she cheated on. Sounds like they worked things out.

ReplyDeleteIt's true. I know this first hand. Austin had an affair with Terri, which means that he basically became his on screen character. Isn't he creative!? Ugh. He is a Christian, but he has "fallen" as those in the religion would say. He's a nut job. His poor wife Tara is the one who has taken the brunt of all of it. They are now seperated. Everyone involved in his/Tara's lives are hoping that this firing will bring him back down from the clouds and remind him what truly matters.
ReplyDeleteYes it's true. He befriended a friend of mine on FB! She's been his "confidant" I guess. Seems like he's into her. I told her to be very careful of this guy! Lets see, he's married, having an affair, and messaging his life to a random "friend" on FB. I just hope my friend wises up!

ReplyDeleteUh "ya right" I actually asked this girl if she knew about Terri Colombino last night. She said she didn't know anything about it other than he was separated from his wife. She also said their conversations were more "spiritually based" and she hasn't really talked to him lately. SoI may be wrong on the life story thing but it is him she was talking to. Just wanted to clear that up after asking her.

From all the interviews, austin peck has given, he had nothing but the sweet things, to say about her . "tara is great , she is an exceptional women ... " -austin peck , I think if there is anyone taking the brunt its austin and not tara . I have not read, any negative about the women, so why are you starting that rumour . ReplyDeleteI am the other poster, and I am a friend of Tara's. Check their town in NJ's police records, as Tara has had to call the cops on Austin a few times-he has been violent, irrational, and it is NOT his wife's fault. She is protecting their children.

ReplyDeleteThe character of Brad is so great and personal life is just that.... He is the best well-rounded actor on the show. He is so charismatic, funny and he has chemistry with many actors on the show. Perhaps, Jack and others are just jealous. I find Jack boring and too judgmental. I'm so sick of him being the moral guide on the show. Get rid of him and keep Brad. Bring Brad back & let his personal life be just that.....

(love them, but its true) Lesli Kay & the guy who played David (she was married w/a kid and left her hubby) Collen Pinter & Mark (4get his name, both were married had an affair and left their spouses) Melissa Reeves and the guy who played Peter (both married had an affair BUT she stayed w/her husband who is also an actor) so...why didn't any of these actors get fired ??? I am sure there is more to this story- but we will never know..I heard a rumor that Teri C's hubby was unfaithful to her as well, so maybe Terri was having a hard time dealing and Austin Peck (who was separated from his wife) found comfort w/him...I don't get why others get a pass...and they brought Lesli K back after her affair--- and she's a horrible actress. imo
