Let's start at the beginning. The whole purpose of this blog was for me to express myself without moderation, censorship, or pathetic threats of being banned from message boards. It also bothered me that the whole DOOL blog genre was dominated by men who all share the same opinion. The Diva figured it was time for some diversity. Thus, I started this blog to share my point of view uncensored. I saw at many other message boards that a lot of fans felt the same way I do, but felt handcuffed by mods with prejudices against people who don't agree with them. This blog is a place for others to comment uncensored. The Diva did not delete any comments, not even the sexist ones. David though has been busy deleting negative comments from his youtube page. lol
Yes, I saw the links to the "Obama Bucks." None of the reporters who reported on the story said that Kool Aid is a racial stereotype. It's not a racial stereotype. Kool-aid drinkers refers to Jonestown. Jonestown pre-dates the Obama Bucks by 30 years. Unfortunately so many Americans are so ignorant of history that they mistakenly thought the Kool Aid stereotype started with the Obama Bucks. It doesn't. Kool Aid has nothing to do with race. It is a term referring to people who blindly follow leaders without question. The reference on the Obama bucks of the Kool Aid man meant that his supporters followed him like Jim Jones.
For some inexplicable reason, some sheep chose Nelson Branco to be there leader. I am not jealous of Nelson. I am not a soap journalist, I am a blogger. I am not beholden to anyone. I post what I want, when I want. I don't kiss anyone's ass for access to inside info like Nelson does. I don't have a person problem with Jamey either. His constant ass kissing of Nelson is embarrassing, but hey it pays off for him because Nelson links him every single time he writes. Nelson only posts at DR because they ban people who politely challenge him. Also he posts there for the hits. He threw a hissy fit there this past winter after the J&M fans (whom I and several others fans have also referred to as "kool-aid drinkers") bashed him for reporting that the DH's hate each other. He basically said fuck you to the board and left. He came crawling back when no one was linking him anymore.
The Diva has never asked anyone to link with me. I prefer to stay independent. I could have chosen that route. If I wanted fame or whatever, I could have ass-kissed Jamey, Nelson, etc. and gotten a few more hits. But that's too constricting for me. I want the freedom to criticize what they write. Nelson is completely intolerant of contrary opinions. So why should I kiss his ass and censor myself for hits? That's selling out. When I agree with them on something, then I'll blog about that too. Even Kenny at Douchebag Royalty agrees with me about what he calls "sister sites" of Daytime Confidential and Nelson's stuff. That's like The Diva asking a friend to start a blog quoting me and agreeing with me, and I would do the same for her. That's boring!
The Diva would like someone to explain to me from the spammers here why it's ok to use derogatory female stereotypes about me and my followers. Why is it ok to call someone a bitch, fat bitch, welfare recipient, Lane Bryant shopper, etc? But I can't refer to someone as a Kool Aid drinker when the term has NOTHING to do with race? This is not a politically correct blog. Political correctness is censorship. The Diva is not interested in censorship. If you want a completely sanitized blog, then go read something else. Threatening me with lawsuits and arrests make me laugh. Good luck finding an attorney on that one.
The Diva blog is not beholden to any journalistic or advertising standards. I'm not selling anything. I am not a journalist. I don't do polls or research to see what words offend people. I chose not to be friends with people who are overly sensitive. They are no fun. Sorry, David does not seem like a fun guy to me. lol I will accept his apology for calling me a racist. I do understand if he did not know the true meaning of "Kool Aid drinkers". He needs to learn that falsely accusing someone of being a racist is harmful to civil rights in general. It's kind of like the little boy who cried wolf. Everyone eventually stops paying attention to you when you cry wolf. Real racism is the Obama Bucks with the watermelon, fried chicken, and ribs. The Kool-Aid man is not racist at all and refers to Jonestown.
