Nelson Branco is a douchebag part 6

It's been an unbelievable week. A week ago, The Diva dropped the Thaao being fired bomb. The Douchebag is still not over it. This is what he wrote today:

Days of our Lives, Global/NBC — DAYS of our Firings • Big whoop: Mary Beth Evans (Kayla) and Stephen Nichols (Steven) have been fired. Who knew they were still on the show? Sorry, you’re not going to get a Christian Bale breakdown here. The Suds Report heard about the possibility this past weekend. What did I do? I went to the cottage. I just don’t care anymore about this show, or think it’s worth cracking a sweat, trying to dig for confirmations on a show destined for hell. After Deidre Hall (Marlena) and Drake Hogestyn’s (John) firings, not even Dena Higley’s dismissal could elicit a response from me. This show is deader than Boy George’s sex life. Rumour has it that Patch and Kayla will be written out into the background. For once, I agree with Dena. The less writing we all have to deal with, the better! The good news is that ABC chief Brian Frons doesn’t have to buy DAYS now — he can just employ the soaps’ big four super-couples on his own shows! Smart move, Ken! Now, your show is worth absolutely nothing.

As for future casting possibilities, I wouldn’t mind seeing Evans as nuKristen Forrester on B&B (and then you could recast the role of Zende, a teen who could actually act would be nice; sorry, Texas) or as nuCasey Reed on Y&R. Yes, I loved her as ATWT’s Sierra, but I wouldn’t wish that hell on someone as beautiful and talented as Evans.

Nichols would be perfect as an old sailor buddy of Nick’s. He could fall in love with Felicia. Or Nichols could be Harry Jackson’s (played last by the promising Ben Hogestyn) presumed-dead father. While we’re at it, why not bring back Hogestyn in the role, too, because someone in that household should be making money. We also need all the non-Forrester men we can get in L.A.

• Now that the worst secret in daytime has been revealed, Thaao Penghlis (Tony) is said to be in pretty good spirits regarding his firing. “I’m in good company,” he joked on a website recently. When The Suds Report spoke with the Daytime Emmy-nominated actor recently, he said he was happy with his latest comeback, regardless of the outcome. “It’s been a good year because my story has been much more realistic. Plus, working with the lovely Leann Hunley as Anna hasn’t hurt. In fact, it’s been a dream. What more could you ask for? Other than winning the Emmy, of course!” You’ll be missed, Thaao. Ciao.

He went to a cottage last weekend? Well it must have had internet service since he was lurking at Daytime Royalty all weekend. Does anyone really buy that bullshit that he's not doing his job because he doesn't care about DOOL anymore? Oh please. He doesn't watch DOOL and never did. The Diva outscooped him on Thaao's firing. SOD outscooped him on Stephen and Mary Beth's firings. He's just trying to cover his ass. The Diva did not post a rumor about Thaao's firing, it was a fact by a reputable source, not a lucky guess. If I had known about SN's and MBE's firings, The Diva would have posted about it. The fans have a right to know. The Diva will never run away to a cottage when there's work to do.

You know, if Nelson spent his time actually working instead of discussing his gayness in every article, he might actually break some news occasionally. The Diva cannot think of any real journalist who declares their sexuality several times in every article. The Diva does not give a shit if he's gay. Who the fuck cares? I could have blogged this week that I wanted to rub message oil on Thaao Penghlis, but instead I blogged about the history of Tony DiMera. The Diva could have blogged that she wouldn't mind if Stephen Nichols left the patch on during sex. But instead I chose to blog about how S&K have been wasted since their return.

The bottom line is really that The Douchebag should try to work on his credibility instead of spending his time lusting after actors. Nelson needs to get over the fact that he's really low on the totem pole as far as soap journalists are concerned. That's why he's not breaking any news. No one thinks he's important enought to leak to. You missed the last 5 firings buddy, get over it!
